Yes, it records in 4k 30 FPS, 1080p 60 FPS, and 720p 120 FPS.

I've noticed the web site is saying only 30fps for 1080p. It originally said 60fps but it has changed. The website for the Force also says 30fps (same camera).

Gsmarena says 1080p 30 fps and phonearena says 1080p 60 fps. I don't know which to believe tbh. I don't really record videos much.

it does not do 60fps out of the box. somebody has to mod the camera to do it.

wow... The difference is crazy.
Edit: just watched the video... NI's video sucks, I wonder why it can't stay focused...
They should have stuck with a better camera resolution. nevertheless the darn clicking noise was unacceptable. And frame rate change was also a shock to me when I looked at the video info.

Thanks for posting this, inspiron41!
I am generally happy with my Adam Pixel Qi. I do have the same focus issues.
The problem when a company (NI) uses a cheap part (the camera) it really cheapens the entire product. NI probably saved a $1 or $2 dollars. Hard to see how Rohan could think this to be bleeding edge technology and living his "dream" when you cut corners needlessly.
Wow thats bad....wth is that clicking noise.....If there is a way to fix this, I will, even if I have to open the damn thing and replace the motor or the camera....is that clicking noise present during recording only or during recording and playback?

Any improvement in picture quality from 5.0?
I am really disappointed by the images taken at relatively higher shutter speeds even if iso is low.
I sometimes even think of going back to KK for that.

Shutter speeds?
And can you share two or three of outdoor shots? Try to not take all macros.
Because indoors, shutter speed is sometimes slow.
And in lollipop, slow shutter speed gives really good output, but "relatively" fast (like 1/100 or 1/250 etc) give images that look really horrible in terms of details (especially compared to kk or jb)

Stock Camera App Crops Video? Google Camera is wider widescreen.

Has anyone else noticed the following:
Take a 1080p video with the stock Moto camera app.

"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Then take one with the Google Camera app.
(both taken with my phone sitting on my laptop on a mini tripod)
The Google Camera video is a wider wide-screen on mine, and I can't seem to find any setting that will make the Moto camera match it. Actually I've tried Open Camera too and it also crops like the Moto.
It looks like in the Google app, all it does is crop the 21 MP still image to 16:9 and records that at 1080p. But in the other apps, they crop out a bit from the middle too.
Anyone have an idea of what's going on here? I generally prefer the Google Camera, except it won't record to SD card and it won't record longer than 4 GB so I've been shopping for a new app (Open Camera works well, but isn't as wide screen!)
edit: This is a Droid Turbo 2. Mine is still LP and my wife's is MM, and it does this on both.
If you look harder, moto have a "programm stability" of videos. Maybe moto camera cut video for stabilization.
Good call, that was it. When I disabled video stabilization in Open Camera, I got the same field of view as Google Camera.

[Q] Enabling Stock 4K recording after root, possible?!

Hey guys
I've heard and read that 4k video recording is supported by SD650 and it is only disabled by sony in software so I was wondering if we could enable is after root?
it just needs to show up in camera addons
maybe if we change phone model name to Xperia xz it would show up, right?!
My phone is not rooted yet so I cant test it myself
Follow this thread. It also works with X Compact
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xp...to/root-how-to-enable-sonys-4k-video-t3406075
You can install open camera from play store. It records 4K videos.
If you take a little more attention I said I wanted to enable sony stock 4k recording and I already got my answer
Thank you for pointing out though
You mean it does work on your XC? This post says it doesn't : https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70628011&postcount=13
You've installed Android N?

Well to be honest I havent tested it yet, Im gonna test it tomorrow but yeah as you mentioned the post it seems that it might not work, however there should be way to make it work if we had some developers lookin into it
I tried once again, camera starts but there is something wrong as you can see in the left down corner. If i start recording the camera freezes.

I don't know how to rotate the picture. It should be portrait mode.
Any updates on this progress on Noughet? Is it still feasible?

1440p, 2160p or WQHD/4K VIDEO playback problems, why...?

Hi Guys! I just bought this tablet, and been trying to play higher than HD videos for days in multiple circumstances without succes.
what is going on?
i updated to the latest firmware,
latest youtube app, videoplayers (tried several)
in youtube app:
wont show options higher than 1080p
cant zoom in to 16:9 videos to get rid of letterboxing.
I tried these videos, Patagonia 8K, etc. still only fullHD
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChOhcHD8fBA
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPdWJeybMo8
also tried in video player app,
downloaded the above vids from youtube in WQHD and 4k resolutions : bad playback, stuttering
tried blueray rips, 2160p : extreme stuttering and freezups!
1440p : theres very few available in this resolution, movies etc. only found one, played ok, but sometimes stuttered also.
what am I doing wrong? or this is a only fullHD capable tablet with a bigger screen stacked on?
thx :highfive:
ps: this is the one of those I tried, with very heavy stuttering, while I also cut the first 20 so minutes and removed 2 audiostreams from the 3 to make it easyer on the rig, but to no avail...
