Is it an app? I don't know what it is, but I hear about it and see screenshots of those cards, but it's not on my Nexus 4 as best I can tell. What do?

Swipe up from the lockscreen. Swipe up from the home button. Tap the Google search bar on the home screen. Open the Google app.
All will get you there.
In a nutshell, it's a replacement for the old search bar app.
Thanks guys, I'm silly.
Yes. Yes you are.
Google Now results in a lot of wakelock from Google Maps, as it constantly monitors your location. Wakelock plus GPS usage. A battery drain for sure.

I have looked all around and can't find anything on this, so I figured I'd ask here.
Does anyone know if there is a way to have joint messaging on a tablet (specifically my Kindle Fire) and my cell phone? My wife has an iPhone 5 and an iPad, and if I text her from my phone, she'll get it on both, as well as being able to reply to me from either one. They both have the same (stock) messaging app on them, so it is all linked together.
My question is, can I do that with my KF? I don't use the stock messaging on my Galaxy S4 because I've always used Handcent SMS, but I'd be open to any app that would allow me to do this. So, any thoughts?
I use Google Voice. The app runs on Android systems and syncs text messages to all devices.

Curious issue with my recently flashed to 4.4 Nexus 7 (I used Nexus Root Toolkit to unlock and root, as well to flash the 4.4 image).
I haven't noticed any issues and this issue may be completely unrelated but the Play Store seems to be giving me some issues. I can browse the Play Store, its apps, games, books, my apps, etc. but I cannot search. When I search for an app, I receive a No Connection - Retry error message. I am most definitely connected to the internet, as I said, I can browse the play store, install apps, games, books, etc., but whenever I try and search for an app... I get the error.
Thoughts on the issue?
Thanks.
I get the exact same error. I have no fix but at least now you know that you're not alone. I will report back if I figure it out.

I'm even getting it on my LG G2... this may just be a Google issue.
Hi together,
is there any app or possibility to use a display mirroring app/standard (like miracast) to share the smartphone screen on the fire tv? I am using a LG G3 with stock rom and it supports miracast. Until now i haven't found any solution, only a youtube video without explanations.

AllCast doesn't actually mirror, it just sends certain content from the phone to the device. That said its the closest thing I have found so far.

This app is for Iphone (ios) not Android as far as I can tell. We are looking for something that works for mirroring from an Android phone.
Read the last few pages of the tgread I posted. You need to go to waxrains website and download thier sender app. Just read the thread its all there.

Here is the app in the playstore. You can also dowload the app in the firetv store. Obviously the firetv version is tge one you want. The go to waxrains website and look for their android sender apk. Install that on your phone. Then.in the settings enable screen mirroring.

It does actually. You need to find the beta mirror apk that koush released several months ago. I had it working awhile back.
Edit - file name is Mirror_1.0.1.7.apk if it helps.

Can you post that file please?

Didn't work with an Xperia Z2 or a One+ One. The options to mirror are grayed out unfortunately. I think I'll e-mail the app developer and see what he has to say.

Apk file attached. Moderators please remove this if necessary.
Make sure to install allcast on the firetv. It will add an option I think in the system settings to mirror to the TV.
So install mirror on the phone?

I use reinstalled it. Not working for me now either. I have changed roms on my phone since then. Not sure what the deal is. Maybe that is why he never released it

No problem. Again thanks for taking the time to upload the apk.

No problem. Just checked on my tablet too where I know it was working a month or so ago (nothing had changed on my tablet) and it's not working either. I wonder if the beta file had an expiration date. I think koush has done that in the past with some of his releases.

Didn't work for me either. Just crashed back to the home screen on my One+ One and my Xperia Z2. I don't have either of them rooted yet so that might be the issue, or there could have been a timer in the beta as mentioned. With the airplay/dlna app for the Fire TV the developer got back to me and said the phone needs to be rooted to enable mirroring for his androidsender apk to work so I will try rooting my One+ and see how that goes. He did mention the feature is very experimental at this stage.
