Can't connect to Google Store in some occasions - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have strange problem recently. I have wifi at home, it works fine, but in some games it says that there's no connection to the store or there's a problem with my internet (depends on the game) while in the same time I am chatting with someone through messenger or viber or whatever, I can open facebook, the store itself, etc. Why is that? Some games are ok but in others, for example Angry Birds Transformers, it always says that. I tried that remove updates option for the GStore app but it didn't fixed a thing. My phone is with stock kernel, stock LP 5.1 rom but its rooted and I have lucky patcher installed. Do you guys think its because of one of those two? I know there are games who detect "hacking" tools such as the lucky patcher but they just say it and dont boot at all. It seems like thats not the case here.

[Q] Crashing emulators and games help

ive had my play for a month and a half now on vadafone uk and ive rooted and removed bloatware but emulators and games just go off unexpectedly and with no error message. is ther any "fix" or solution aound this ???????
I also have this problem and with Vodafone- but after only a week of having it. I've noticed it with the pre-loaded games, Bruce Lee, Sims 3, also it's happened with Asphalt 6. There's no message and it just closes unexpectedly after a random amount of time. I've even factory reset it but the problem still exists. Must be rare though because I cannot find anyone with the problem!
update your Xperia Play on the official Site if it's safe for you
Thanks, I'll give it a try- the sony ericsson update via USB cable? I assumed the phone had automatic updates but maybe this will fix it.
Reinstalled the software with it but it didn't work- going to try to get a replacement phone since I haven't had it very long.

Super slow Play Store downloads?

Anybody start having this problem recently? Doesn't matter whether wifi or 4g. Some apps (though not consistently) download at normal speeds, others download at around a max of 50kb/s. I've never had the problem in all my years on Android, until a few days ago (close to a week into my ownership of Nexus 4). Updating Play Store didn't help. Using different wifi networks or cell data in different areas doesn't help.
What ROM I'm on and what kernel seems irrelevant, because it wasn't happening, and then without changing anything it started happening, and now after changing lots of things it's still happening. Just now I downloaded FB Messenger just fine, and then FB app is going at 50kb/s.

I have been having the same issue, super slow download speeds when i try to update certain apps. I was updating YouTube yesterday took me 10min. Same with my nexus 7 slow speeds as well. Not sure whats going on maybe a server issue.
I've found that quite a lot with play store, not just on nexus devices mind you.
I had the same concerns and I downloaded this application to the moment, solved the problem of Wi-Fi --> Wifi Fixer
In the settings of application (Settings --> Advanced), must be tick "Enable Wifi lock"
I hope it can help you !
PS ; sorry for my english ^^
I had this problem when I updated to the newer / latest CM nightly's recently, went back a week or so worth and it seemed to have stopped happening for me..
This is a play store problem and nothing wrong with your phone.
I have just downloaded a game on the play store.
It was going at about 20kbs
While it was downloading I also started something downloading in the browser which at the same time was downloading at 6mbs.
So the issue is clearly on play store

[Q] Play Store randomly stops downloading

I'm having an issue with the PlayStore, normally you set an app downloading, it downloads, installs blahblah, but what happens with me is it starts downloading, does, lets say a half, then just stops, there's no data activity, and it won't move, I have to cancel the download and start again. I've tried .27, .33 and .48 radios and there all the same. Have also tried latest CyanogenMod nightly and stock 4.2.2. I can't comment if it's my carrier or not as I don't have another sim to try. I'm currently using the old playstore (v3).
Anyone else having these issues?
I have been having the same issue with stock recently. Though if I leave it, it does carry on after a while.
I think it's the Play Store.

I think the playstore interruptions are caused by competition of simultaneously downloading and installing. What I mean to say is, if you're on the old playstore, it might be trying to update itself, which is interrupting the download of whatever app you wanted to download, and then it's getting stuck. Have you tried updating your playstore first, before downloading new apps?
I'd rather not install playstore through the apk on XDA, just personal preference, so I'm waiting for it to update itself.
These issues are present for me and I'm on the new 4.0.25 play store
However while they play store download has stopped/ going very slow, I'm still able to use normal H+ network data and download at >6mbs through the browser so I would think that the issue is with play store servers and not your device.

Wi-Fi problems on stock based ROM (D802, KK 4.4.2)

Hello!
I'm having a lot of Wi-Fi problems on stock based ROM (Cloudy Pro currently, but have tried other as well). Google services seems to have a lot of problems making the initial connection which results in having to turn Wi-Fi on & off before working, but it only fixes it temporarily. After making the connection it mostly works though.
YouTube doesn't work except for a few videos. PushBullet can't connect to my Google account. Play Store doesn't load at all, or takes 30-60 seconds to start a download so updating 3-5 apps can take up to 5min. Instagram I think have problems, not sure since I doesn't use it very often. A random website here and there doesn't work.
Reddit, Imgur, Gfycat, XDA, Twitter, Snapchat all works. If I open YouTube in a browser it works. Other video sites works. 3G/4G works perfectly, no problems at all. AOSP based ROMs works perfectly, except slightly slow download start in Play Store.
I have tried clearing data/cache from Google Services/Play Store & wiping from recovery, neither works.
I have the D802 32GB (Norway) version. I'm using CloudyPro II 2.1, with the KK Baseband D802. I have tried Pardus, CloudyStock & CloudyFlex, all have the same problem.
If anyone knows what causes this, it would be greatly appreciated!
EDIT: Oh, and it started happening after the KitKat update. No problems before.

Application has stopped

Hi. I just bought used Note 3, I had this model earlier and never noticed any problems. Unfortunately I have a lot of issues with this one. I use my phone to play heavy games such as Need For Speed No Limits or Farming Simulator. Problem with the first one comes when uploading data on server, usually after crosssing the finish line, when the scores are being uploaded. The game suddenly stop and quit to the desktop without any notification. The 2nd one suddenly stops saying "unfortunately, Farming Simulator has stopped". This phone has 3gb RAM and should manage such big apps. When I bought it, it was clean with no apps installed, and the first thing I did was installing the games. I'm asking here: what is the problem and what should I do? Could it be the problem with old Android version (5.0)? Should I install new system ver.? Or maybe it's processor damage idk?
What model ??
Contact the games developer .
