Well, if what you say is true and you are correctly flashing the factory images with fastboot ( including the radio )
your screwed.

Download a nexus 4 ROM and flash that.
Next time do not ever ever flash a rom that is not meant for the device. Is your phone a S4? No. Is it a HTC One? No. Stick with ROMs and kernels meant for your device and you'll be good.

He said he ACCIDENTALLY flashed the ROM of a gs4. No need to rip him apart for a mistake, I think he is going to suffer enough by having to replace his defective phone.

Did flash the factory images via Fastboot ?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
Tough luck mate
I'm no expert, but obviously you've overwritten your modem/radio partition, maybe even corrupted. I don't know if you could zero that partition (with dd codes) and then flash one of our radios... Not sure if that would work...
Edit:

Check this post, seems like he made the same thing, see if he solves it, he might help you.

Did you flash all the files? System, boot loader, radio... Something like 6 files? If not I would flash all the files. If so I would flash them again.

No, it's not because it's aosp. Nexus 4 uses aosp but the drivers and all are different on each device.
I'm sorry if I sounded like a total jerk before.

Install 4.1 via nexus toolkit. Then 4.2. This should install the nexus radio as well.

Hi,
I'll just get right into it. Since I flashed Vaniraosp rom I've been seeing this red frame/border whatever you wanna' call it, I disabled strict mode and rebooted, updated the rom and reflashed but none solved the problem. I've been told that factory resetting would fix this but I don't want to lose my data.
Any help would be appreciated, thx.

I'm sorry, I wasn't clear enough. What I meant by "reflashed" is that I reflashed the rom after backing up my stuff, (which also didn't work). I just though about totally factory resetting, like also wiping out the internal storage.
Sent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk
No need to apologize.
You could try doing a full wipe from recovery. If that doesn't work, may a complete flash back to stock and then re-flash the custom rom.
Hey guys, saw this one on the other forum
go to `build.prop` and change `.usertype` from `userdebug` to just `user`

Kernel is the same as boot image. If you're already encrypted then you need to flash ex with no force encryption selected. Then format userdata. You will have to flash kernel after wiping data to get tweaks back.

Flash the individual img files in fastboot, enable oem unlock in developer options and then unlock the bootloader before the flash.
There are also changes in the system.img, recovery.img, and boot.img files - file sizes are larger then MMB29X.. Flashing now..

extract all images and flash every images separately using fastboot commands.
Does anyone who flashed this noticed if there was an improvement in the radio performance?
I'm not sure if it is placebo or not, but in the region that I live is unstable to get signal from my carrier, but after flashing this new build today seems more stable than before, because I didn't lose signal since I booted the phone after the update.
I felt that on N preview too when I tested, but I didn't keep it because of other bugs.

It's the pixel build.prop . What I can't remember is if the "P" is capitalized in the build.prop for for 6p. I modified it for the Google assistant and now I want to change it back.
