For some reason when I ask my Moto x what is up I never hear my google calendar events. Is this normal? Or am I missing something.

I haven't been able to find a solution anywhere and I've been looking since launch day.. anybody who had a Moto Droid knows that when Google and Facebook contacts were synced, any contacts with identical names were automatically merged together. With HTC's "People", it suggests to Join them, but it never automatically puts them together. Is there a way to merge my identical FB and Google contacts together, or do I have to manually Join each one?
Hmm It synced my contacts that had the exact name. Also let me forcefully link contacts which the droid didn't do and i freaking hated. I'm not sure why yours isn't syncing
I just got the LG G2 a few weeks ago and I love it, but I'm having some issues that I've never had before on Previous phones (Previous ones being Moto Maxx, Razr HD Maxx, Note 3, Note 2 & GS4).
First are my exchange contacts aren't syncing to the phone; at least not all of them. I setup my exchange account on the phone the same way I always do, set to push, mail, contacts, calendar etc...Out of my 500 or so contacts only about maybe half actually are on the phone. I go to call someone, and they aren't there, I double check that persons exchange contact in outlook or on my ipad, and it's there; just not on the phone.
The other problem I have is every time I delete an email, I get a new email notification for that (or those) emails I just deleted, when I open the notification it takes me to the email in the deleted items folder.
I'm REALLY hoping someone else here knows how to resolve these issues as otherwise this phone is awesome, but these two issues are driving me bonkers!
Thanks in advance for any and all replies!
On my moto droid I could click yes from Gmail App and the event would get put on my calendar. With the 6P I have to download the ics file and then accept. Is this normal?
Just switched from a Moto X Pure to a Galaxy S8 and can't get my Outlook calendar to populate the events application on the Gear S3. I get notifications as pop-ups from Outlook on the watch, but my days show "No Events," even though my Outlook calendar (Outlook 365) is full. All of this worked fine with my Moto.
Hi,
I want to use ACalendar instead of the G5 Plus's stock calendar. I've installed it and pop up notifications from BOTH calendars started showing up. I disabled the stock calendar but not the ACalendar won't sync. Any thoughts?

Click to collapse
Re enable the stock calendar and just turn off notifications in the app. Or you can turn off notifications in the OS either in the app info screen or when the notification comes up.. long press on it and you have the option to block all notifications
