So the forums wont let me post to the actual thread but...
I downloaded the XT1572 v5 "[KERNEL] [STOCK LP 5.1.1] v4tk - O3 - uber - optimized" discussed in the Android Development section and now my Wifi has completely stopped working.
So I am running stock, have tried to flash a few different kernels relevant to my phone from that thread and have tried a couple of different stock Kernels to get the Wifi back but no luck - it wont let me switch it on at all...
wondering if anyone has a fix. I'm on the Moto X Style XT1572
I am probably in over my head a bit here
You can try to do factory reset, it can bring "wifi" back.
Or just flash stock ROM from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-style/development/rom-stock-x1572-1575-5-1-1-lph23-116-18-t3229355
Or flash stock kernel (BOOT.IMG) from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-style/development/pure-firmware-tuff-wip-t3224833http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-style/development/pure-firmware-tuff-wip-t3224833
Or the best option to flash stock "FIRMWARE and BOOT.IMG" from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-style/development/pure-firmware-tuff-wip-t3224833
Remember to choose XT1572 as your device.

Are you sure, that you've flashed the version V5 of this kernel? In previous versions, there was a problem with the XT1572, but in V5 it's solved. I also flashed this kernel on stock rom...but with no WiFi issues. You could also try to flash back the original kernel. There is a thread with the boot image of XT1572.

Yeah I have tried flashing the newest version, and the stock Kernel (from two different sources) and still nothing... looks like I will have to do a factory reset
Thanks

No problem
Maybe you could analyse it via dmesg/ifconfig command on the device's shell...
If you factory reset through the return to stock tool, you can go without erasing data, as long as you still clear cache, it should boot fine, although for me I had to erase cache twice before it booted.

Oh I just checked this out but the tool says it is not available for XT1572?

Not too sure how lots of this stuff works but would it be ok to use still?

Hi,
I didn't find any other thread that deals with my problem so I have to start this one.
I have used my xpperia arc lt15i with CM10 and arc fusion kernel 3.5 for the last month without any problems.
But after last update to FXP 144 I flashed stock FXP kernel and rom. After that the CWM didn't work properly anymore.
I was able to flash the rom but after that I was not able to flash gapps or different apps through CWM.
I tried different combinations of kernels (FXP, lusion and lupus) and roms (FXP 141, 142, 144) all night but I was never able to flash anything but the rom. The log didn't display any errors but when I boot afterwards the flashed app or gapps don't appear in app drawer or app list in setings.
I hope there is somone who may help me
Regards.
So try flashig .587 firmware (all modules kernel baseband etc etc) then try flashing fxp144 throw fastboot (fastboot flash boot kernelname.img) ! Myne works flashed last night 2 times fxp144 without any problem

Now i may install the fix from this post but nothing else works I tried flashing launcher and walkman form here but this didn't work properly.
It is really confusing

don't know maybe don't work on last build !
Now i will give it a last try. Downloading FXP 144 again because maybe download is damaged and again going through stock .587 i hope it'll finally work.
Thanks for your help btw even it only changed little things
Update:
this didn't work. I'm going back to .587 stock now because custom rom without working recovery is very bad.
But my question is now if it may be possible that something is broken in my device that this situation appeared? Or may it help to relock and unlock bootloader again? I'm new to this section so I don't now how all this stuff works.
Hope that somone has a solution.

Yes i did so but i tried with flashtool too. Only problem in flashing wih fastboot was that i was unable to clear the cache so i did it through CWM afterwards.
May this be a problem?
My problem is solved now. I am able to install zip files through CWM even if i have to try multiple times.
Thanks for your help and tips.
Wifi and MobileData connection is going(borken) frequently at the same time. Apps start saying "No internet connection" . Another example Whatsapp messages can't send. It's happening too frequently. I can't use my nexus4 properly. If there is no solution , I will turn back the official ROM-Kernel which comes from Google.
Note: There is no problem like this with official OS.
Do a reboot, turn your wlan router off for 5 minutes and turn it back on.

M8 is Android 4.4.4, right? Maybe you just need to update your radio (latest is 1.03). Look for it in the radio/modem collection thread.

No, I dont and that is whats strange. Maybe flashing a new radio is the solution, but the radios should be imcluded in the update...

Well, I suggest you to backup your current rom and try a clean install of CM (In recovery, do a factory reset, wipe system, dalvik and cache, then flash rom and gapps again) to see if it works. If not, do as @CCody said and flash full stock firmware.
Also, look the CM thread to see if there other users with this problem.

Can anyone put up a version of it for me? I flashed SandyKernel, and now my device lags out every 10 minutes. I've tried flashing both OOS 2.0.1 and 2.1, but I have twrp, and it seems to be having issues with the naming of the device.
Are you flashing the full ROM or OTA? Use this thread here
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/oneplus-2-stock-rom-collection-updated-22-09.347627/
You should be able to flash full roms, but if you're rooted you can't flash OTAs. But TWRP shouldn't stop you from flashing a full rom.
Yes. That is where I got the full images. Like I said, TWRP is giving me an issue because it has not been updated to match the correct naming scheme of the device.
I still need the stock kernel..
Did you try the official TWRP build that just came out today?

Hello guys, I have flashed custom ROM based on HOH2 and I also have modem of same firmware, my wi-fi was working fine and it suddenly stopped working during use, Wi-Fi networks are detecting okay, but it doesn't connect with it at all, it does connect sometimes, and provides internet for sometimes, but after a while internet stops working, when I turn off and on again, it just doesn't connect with the wifi network. Is it known issue with HOH2 base & I will need to flash a modem fix or something? Or you are sensing hardware issue?
P.S I always used my phone with care, don't know what happened to the wifi while I was browsing, I hope it's not hardware fault and known issue with this base. Also this issue is on CM ROM as well as I checked, so only doubt is Hardware issue or baseband related?
Does anyone have the solution or I have to repair it?

Do a wipe data/factory reset from recovery.
Baseband doesn't affect wifi (Wifi relies on Kernel). Baseband is used by RIL. Have you tried Uzair40's suggestion ?
I downgraded completely to GN2 KitKat firmware through a tutorial and edited firmware posted here, and WiFi is working fine with it, i then upgraded to lollipop again and the problem reappeared (OH2 baseband/Kernel/Bootloader), so i switched back to GN2 again. Guess what, i think my device don't want me to upgrade anymore :/

what i would do now is :
- flash HOH2 without auto-reboot in ODIN
- reboot manualy in download mode
- flash HOH2 again with auto-reboot in ODIN
- let the rom completely boot
- reboot in recovery and do the factory reset
if you have the time, try this. If it dosen't work, try flashing another Kernel (Kushan, Hulk, or another TW compatible one..)
I have tried all of the mentioned kernels and most importantly

I went thru every single thread, i have the latest TWRP 3.2.1, so no Error 7.
The ROM's install (i've tried Unofficial/RR/PixelExperience/BootLeggers/Cosmic/AOSIP) and the install goes smooth, but all stuck on Bootloop!
What on earth am I doing wrong? I can't find anyone mentioning specific Kernel or where to get an OREO specific Kernel.
Is there a Boot.img ? do i need to flash it as well? (no one says so in instructions)
The last rom i've got is the Official 7.1.2 which boots without a problem.
Note: But only the 20171025 build, nothing after that even of 7.1.2 doesn't boot (just has bootloop)
Device Specs as Appear on the back: YU4711, H/W ver V2.0, S/W ver: V0.0.9_171215, (2+8) GB

Reflash the entire stock firmware *except system, userdata, recovery, cache* through fastboot, then you should be good to go.

I honestly don't see the logic in putting the phone back into Stock ROM of Android 5.1.1, when I can use it with 7.1.2 without a problem and only flashing of new ROM's is an issue.
But I have found something that may give more information, this is HW_V2 , so i'm assuming this device is the YU YUNIQUE 2 which is basically identical but with 2GB ram instead of 1GB ram.

You need to flash it using: fastboot flash modem non-hls.bin
Then reboot and flashing of the ROM should go correctly and for me atleast, it booted up.
