Hello, I write this topic for help with my phone, my phone time when you put a SIM of any company received it or read it perfectly and now you put a sim what it does is it gets the signal but ago the notification bar says looking me like I was not unlocked but if this yesterday had bought a sim of a company that had never previously given him and what he did was to put the company name by example and put in looking at the minute.
I would like to know if you could help me on this, because I want to leave this phone xD ..
Note: I've formatted, I have reinstalled by Odin the stock rom and still nothing!

So for a while now (probably 3-4 months) I've been having SIM card issues and I don't remember if they started before or after my phone was rooted and running CM...Anyway, a little SIM card thing shows up in my status bar and it says like "SIM card not recognized" or "Please insert a SIM Card" or something along those lines. It doesn't let me use the network at all. Usually I fix it by turning the phone off, taking the SIM Card out, putting it back in, and turning the phone back on. Sometimes it'll work, other times, I'll have to repeat it. I thought the problem was the SIM Card because it had 3 scratches on it from the contact points, so I got a new SIM Card yesterday but it's still doing the same thing. When it started I was either on the stock ROM (unrooted), CoreDroid, or CM7 (stable). About a month ago I started using the CM7 nightlies.
Does anyone know what the problem might be? Could it be the phone itself?

Same exact problem here. I don't run nightlys but I really need to try something that I'm not ripping my phone out of the OtterBox in the middle of school.

hey yall, let me start off buy sayin i mad,tired , and sleepy. last night i finally unbrick my phone after 4 days of surfing the and tryin thing to unbrick it well last night i finally unbrick my samsung admire just to hard brick it within a 1 hour period!! now i dont have no phone,i cant get in touch with nobody,and im hungry!!!! i rather have another phone then eat because it was my life line, and i just learn how to "customize" my phone!! thats right im a newbie, now im a has been with no phone!!!! i dont kno wat im gonna do!!!! is their a place or a person who can donate a phone to me??? hope so, i stayed up all last night tryin to find a free android, but their is no such thing!!! if anybody kno a company that will give me a free android if i get a tattoo of their company on my neck or forehead?? if cyanogen want to do it im down even tho its their ROM that brick my phone, its not their fault, any help yall?????
So in the last couple weeks my phone has developed a really strange issue. When I put my phone in my pocket for any amount of time more than a few minutes the phone gives me a message saying that I need to install a valid sim card. At first I thought it might be a ROM issue so I tried several different ROMs including stock and have had the problem with all of them. I left the phone on my desk at work all day yesterday and it worked fine. Put it in my pocket to walk from work to my truck and by the time I got in to drive home the message was back. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing before?
Also, just got a new sim card on Wednesday and that didn't help at all.
I got this from a customer he bought a new phone and told me if i could fix this then i could keep it... Decided to start here... Everything seems to be pointing to a bad update... Tried to do self recovery but i feel it needs to be totaly reflashed... I had anothet note 3 and switched the bords to make sure that it wasnt an anntenna problem or anything else besides the motherbord or software... Is there a way to fully flash this again? Like the basband and Android? I know u all flash ROMs but id like to get stock working first... Tried Kies but wont reflash it... Maybe a way to get it into emergency recovery mode so it will reflash it?
I havent done any flashing since my SII i know Odin was relivent, where would i get 100 stock verizon 4.2? And its like the old ways right?
I figured out how to reflash it.. But im leaving it's off just in case someone else came across the same problem it's almost like there's no SIM card inserted even if you pull the SIM card out sometimes it does sometimes it does it never shows the network and it never shows a signal strength over .99 also its not showing IMEI number was just super weird, it keeps pointing to bad software... If reflashing it dont fiz it ill post some screenshots...
My first note 3 killed 3 sim cards before verizon finally replaced the phone under warranty. The phone may still be under manufactures warranty if the phone is under 1 year old. I cant wait for my upgrade so i can get a non samsung device. I love the size and most of the hardware but first and foremost it is supposed to work as a phone which is does not. Plus bloatwiz is a freaking joke even in rooted custom form.
Good morning, my phone card suddenly stopped working on the network a few months ago. I believe I may have disabled some things here and there the night prior, I can't remember. I was moving from Germany to the U.S. the next day, so I had alot on my mind. This is the European variant (SM-G935F). I have tried 3 different SIM cards, one from German T-Mobile and two from Verizon in the U.S. to no avail. I have posted screenshots showing what it says I have for signal. Every once in a while it pops up with a message saying SIM card refreshing or something like that. I have tried putting a piece of paper by the SIM card because possibly the contacts were lose and I also factory reset my phone but nothing works. To send it back to Germany to have them fix it is very expensive and also I don't want to try and interpret everything. I have done that for the last 3 years and would probably end up signing a lease for a car with my limited German language skills. Any thoughts? The phone is perfect other than this issue and I am about to put it on Ebay if I can't get it squared away.

did you try to root it and put the bootloader and firmware of t mobile or verizon?
I haven't tried that because I wanted to keep it unroofed if I needed to sell it on eBay. I might try that as a last step before I sell it though
try to flash your phone with smartswitch or odin with original rom if you are skilled, reset seems cannot recover all your settings.
Hey there, first time poster , long time user of this site. I started using this site about four years ago when I needed help modifying a HTC one V, and from there on out I haven't been able to stop modding and rooting. This site has been so helpful, you have no idea
To date I haven't had many issues with the unlocking of boot loaders and rooting, installing roms and also network unlocking.....Until today.
I am currently trying to network unlock a Samsung s5 neo. I did indeed buy the unlock code from Koodo (the original service provider). However (heres where its going to get weird), no matter how many times I try putting the darn code in, it plain well just refuses to take it. I can sit here all day and nadda a thing will happen.. IN FACT I thought after 10 times it would hard lock its self, resulting in me having to buy a unfreeze code. But nupe.
I'v used 3 different sim cards to try to get this phone unlocked but nothing, Bell Mobility from my LG G5 phone, A PC mobile sim and a Eastlink sim (By the way I'm from Canada)
I tried flashing (odin) with koodo OEM roms, from the first one which i think was 5.1 up to 6.** not sure where it left off. Even went as far as flashing with Telus rom, as koodo is the sister of Telus, and still it sits there pretty much laughing at me.
Factory reset from both with in the OS and the recovery menu, used every code for the phone dialer and half refuse to work. Installed shortcut master (Yes I'm rooted) and keeps saying locked. Also been trying to sim unlock both unrooted and rooted.
I'm completely mind blowen, i even said what the heck and bought a code off line for kicks and sure enough as soon as it showed up in my inbox, same EXACT code Koodo gave me. So we know the code is right.
Any help would be great as I'm at a complete lost. this is the first phone iv had , i'v ever had this much troubles unlocking. OH and if it helps "KNOX" is disabled
