Today I have recive Ota update of android 4.4.4 kitkat 584 mb to my
Galaxy s3 GT-i9305 in pakistan by telenor network
How to Backup this orignal rom....
The screen shoots...
I want to backup this is there any way and upload and share with you guys....
Screenshoots
As far as I remember once u update OTA to kitkat 4.4.4 u cannot go back to ur 4.3 Rom without rooting bcoz it will update ur bootloader nd system partitions.. nut I think u will never feel the need to go back to 4.3 Jelly bean..
although not much has changed in kitkat in terms of User Interface but still its better to update..
P.S: I waited for few months last year hoping that Samsung will update the device in our country too but it was useless..
I will suggest u go ahead and root your device nd enjoy some amazing Roms on this forum
We have newer version right now OH2 your is prehistoric

Hi All,
Where can I get the totally stock Sony Xperia Z 4.2.2 ROM from if I want the default Sony Xperience?
Mine has been customised by my carrier so I have no idea when I will get the latest update with it and I dont want to sit around waiting for them for ages.
A quick check with show you this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2337433
Not sure whether you can flash this if your phone is locked by carrier
Yours is C6602, or C6603? Ether ways there are plenty of stock roms for each.
I created a Website to gather FTF for Japanese version Xperia since Japanese models generally doesn't have xda thread or other websites to share FTF.
http://ftf.xn--l8je9byecb9a3syb.xn--q9jyb4c/
At the moment there are only few models and versions since I couldn't find others...
If someone has FTF not listed on the Website, please post here.
I'll add it on the Website.
Devices on the Website (7/31):
Xperia acro IS11S
Xperia SX SO-05D
Xperia VL SOL21
Xperia Z SO-02E
Xperia UL SOL22
Xperia Tablet Z SO-03E
Xperia A SO-04E
Xperia Z1 SO-01F
Xperia Z1 SOL23
Xperia Z Ultra SOL24
Xperia Z1 f SO-02F
Xperia Z2 SO-03F
Xperia A2 SO-04F
Xperia ZL2 SOL25
thank you so much ! this is helpful site
Incredibly appreciated! Hopefully some of the international exploits will be found to be effective on these firmwares as well. Following the 2ch threads on root, and it seems like the biggest breakthrough has still been the restoration of DRM functions after unlock, but no actual root with a locked bootloader yet.
If we could just get that TA partition backup we'd be in the clear to flash...
That's a very neat site! ありがとう!
thank you so much ! for sol25 zl2
cross flashing
can i cross flash so-03f firmware on 6503 international version, may be not the full firmware, but at least kernal ?
my purpose is to achieve quick charge 2.0 on 6503.

If you want the system apps you can flash only the system portion of the ftf file. If you want the kernel, you'll brick your phone.

You can flash Lollipop firmware for D5503 on your device. I also have a Japanese phone that is running a US Lollipop ROM (.236).

Sorry to hear that you're having issues with the camera.
We have investigated the root cause of this and have prepared a correction which is now being delivered as part of a new software release.
The software release containing this correction begin with version 14.4.A.0.155 and onwards.
The software roll out has already begun in some markets however the exact timing may vary from market to market due to local approval criteria.

Today I received an update on the PC Companion (I have the French version, not on a specific carrier) but it's stuck on error 1200 (Sony Mobile Update Engine Error 1200).
I will try to fix this error and let you know.

did you try to delete the folder with the numeric name in: "C:\ProgramData\Sony Mobile\Update Engine\db\"
and then start again?
by the way, is it possible to root the new firmware with EasyRootTool?

Solved error 1200 by desactivating my antivirus
Now, it's downloading the firmware (it will take around 2 hours)... and yes, I have a poor internet connexion :crying:
According to this tutorial (to share the firmware once it will be downloaded), I have to use Flashtool. But if I look on the "Tools3 menu, I dont' see the option "SEUS Decrypt". What should I do ?

The Z2 got very nice updtae to 4.4.4 with changelog similar to Z3 (camera apps, PS4 etc.)
I hope our Z1c will have the same update too..
Bear with me if this is a stupid question, but this is my first Sony phone. I have a UK unlocked S5503 running 14.4.A.0.108 which I bought second hand. It appears to have originally been sold by Virgin Mobile and some carrier-specific apps are in present in the ROM. For some reason also I'm not getting any LTE - the options under mobile networks/network mode are only 3G or GSM.
What I want to do is flash my phone to a stock unlocked UK firmware such as this one, when it finally comes out - which hopefully should get rid of the carrier apps and give me LTE.
What sort of update file should I be looking for? how are roms normally packaged, as full updates to flash from the PC or as updates you can flash from the phone itself? how can I tell which is which?

This is not a thread for such questions, it's about specific firmware 14.4.A.0.155.
ROM downloaded with XperiFirm and pre-rooted with PRFCreator.
CDA (customization version): 1280-7864
It will flash SuperSU and LockedDualRecovery (it will overwrite your current recovery).
You need to be on any rooted ROM already with custom recovery to flash a .zip file with this firmware!
You don't loose any data, you keep root, you update your firmware to the newest Lolipop build .270.

Region, Central Europe 1. It's a stock ROM without operator branding.
Just flashed.....Thanks Davka! :good:
Cant find details about .270 changelog, anyone knows?
Android 5.0.1 or higher?
To flash, should I do a wipe in the recovery?

I believe it's the same changelog as the Z3 23.1.A.1.28 build:

Tnx guys !!
5.1.1 update seems is not that far away.
On my Nexus 7 2013 working perfect, final and polished version.
Hope same will be on a Z1 compact, .242 firmware is fine for me, except ocassional ram/redraw apps problems, typical for 5.0.2 android.
Can someone check please if there's an Hebrew keyboard?
Hi,
I searched for instructions flashing from .zip file but I couldn't find any. Could you please describe the steps?
Thanks and regards.
You can flash this only if you have Custom Recovery flashed in your phone. If you have then boot into it, choose Flash .ZIP file or similar feature and you flash it. You have to put the .zip file on the SD card before this step.
If you don't have Custom Recovery or don't know how to use it - this is not a thread for you, sorry.
Region
Now I have a doubt, if I flash this in Spain, would it work? Is Europe, but no central...
Does Xposed work fine with this update?
Hello , will we receive next update 14.5.A.0.283 ???? Or will we have to update through pc companion or so please ?????
Thanks
I will post .283 version when it will be available for Central Europe region. So far it's available for T-mobile branded regions only.
Hi,
Sorry if the question is silly but will I be able to update to official sony 5.1.1 after flashing this rom? Will I still have root after update?

The version of this PRF is 5.0.2, the 5.1.1 has not been released by Sony yet.
He meant if he will get the update notification once Sony releases 5.1.1 with this ROM installed. My thoughts are probably yes you will get notification since this is stock basically.

Ah My bad. Yes, he will be able to update, although will loose root if he updates via Sony PC Companion.
Xperia Blog are reporting that Android 5.1.1 Lollipop is now live. Please use this post for feedback and any issues you have.
Gonna wait for OTA and see if root is retained.
Singapore C6603 (though i'm in indonesia) -- still no update.
will looking forward for this update. hope it run really stable, as this might be the last firmware update for Xperia Z.
Kingroot doesn't work ^^
So far so good, I flashed Mena Arabic .ftf and it looks good, still needs further testing, btw king root is giving error, so no root yet
Looks like no full fix for the Stagefright exploit just yet.
