I'm looking at ordering the 6p with project fi, but I'm wondering about installing cm on it, once that's eventual developed. For any cm developers out there, will the WiFi calling work on that ROM?

FWIW: CM WiFi calling is not working on the current Nexus 6 with Fi. Not saying it'll never work on the 6P, but....
Does cm work with project fi at all or do you have to be totally stock?
They have builds that work on fi ......but not WiFi calling

Its been a while and I've been googling for an answer, so I flashed it.
*edit* WIFI calling is working on Feb 6th 2016 nightly.
Had to install Peoject Fi app from play store, then move it from /data/apps to /system/apps, reboot, give it permission to phone, SMS, location, etc then open it and activate.
Once activated, open phone app, go to settings and then WiFi calling ams enable WiFi calling.
Now everything is working as it should.

I work overseas and would like to receive calls using WiFi Calling. I'm looking for a stable ICS or later ROM that I can flash on my old Glacier. My internet bandwidth is also very limited so it's taking me forever to scan forums and downloading ROMs just to find out whether or not they have the feature.
Can someone please let me know which ROMs have a working T-Mobile WiFi calling feature?

You don't understand my question. I did not ask for a VOIP app. I asked for a ROM that supports the T-Mobile WiFi calling feature that allows me to make and receive calls with my T-Mobile number.

There is a flashable zip for ICS WiFi Calling. It's linked in Synthetic.Nightmare's aospx thread. It was always pretty buggy. You'd be better off with Gingerbread.
Yeah I tried synthetic nightmares aospx with WiFi calling and I guess my MyTouch 4G didn't mesh well with it. Doesn't mean it doesn’t work well with others but for me it didn't work all that well. Synthetic nightmare put a lot of hard work into the ROM.
The best option I can give you is do the latest CM 7.2 stable I believe and get dsrkside kernel. Best performance and battery life and WiFi calling is flawless on it.
CM 7.2

Don't forget to download the proper gapps for cm7.2
Darkside kernel

Thanks, but the kernal links are two years old and dead. Will the new 3.x kernals work?

You surely didn't look very hard. Always check toward the end of the thread for updated links.

Don't use ICS kernels with GB.
Been looking for a while..
I have been looking for an ics rom with wifi calling for my my4g for a while now. The best I could find was a gingerbread rom. I found the wifi calling zip, but it crashed every time I tried to open it, so I gave up and uninstalled it. Someone put a zip file out there I believe it was ported from a current tmo device with ics & wifi calling (maybe samgals3), but I'm not a developer and do not know how to use those files. I tried really hard to find an ics wifi calling rom and had zero luck, so now I've given up and am just trying to find a good rom that won't boot loop on me. Good luck I'll post one if I come across one.. I'm still looking..
Has anyone attempted to use Project Fi with the OnePlus 2. It technically should be capable, right?
I understand the bands are very similar, but not the same:

No CDMA... Won't work
Right - I just assumed it would not work on Sprint. I did not know if T-Mobile and WiFi calling would still work. I so desperately want to be able to use this device, but seems I will need to sell mine.
I have a Nexus 6 right now and I just got this phone for my roommate. I was also really hoping Project Fi will work, but I have not given up hope just yet. On the N6 developers have been able to get Project Fi working on AOSP ROMs. You do have to select which network you want, either Sprint or TMobile and you have to manually change between them, it doesnt auto change between them. Wifi calling also works. So I figure if Fi can work on AOSP ROMs and be set to TMobile only +wifi call then it *should* be possible to get it working on this phone as well with TMobile and wifi only.
So back in the day the Google phone app had a WiFi calling option, but now it's not even there anymore all that's there is a "sip" calling option. The problem is where I live I lose signal sometimes and need to make sure calls can come in. I am using the latest Nitrogen ROM and the latest Google phone app on Project Fi.
Any one know what's going on?? Or even if there is another app I could use that works the same way as the phone app with WiFi calling
Like the title says I recently lost Enhanced LTE. The option is still there and it's enabled, but I lose data if I'm in a phone call, and text messages interrupt it a bit. This started with the update to Lineage 15.1 and I haven't seen any posts newer than two years old on it. I did do what one post I found suggested and disable it through the Verizon website, then re-enable it, shut my phone down, reseat the SIM card, then power it back on. So far that hasn't had an effect. Does anyone else have a suggestion?

Have you tried stock Oreo 8.1? It's pretty smooth, good on battery and on the latest April Bluetooth for me is more stable. ?

This is an issue I have been having as well with certain roms after the February security update... I work from home and live in a rural area and need to have a Verizon network extender to have any cell service. After the February update certain roms would say VoLTE was active both in settings and in the status bar but I only had data(slow data) service and zero voice or text. Had to do some weird things to get that issue fixed but I doubt that process applies to your problem... Anyways, the roms that currently have working VoLTE for myself are AOSIP, AOSCP, AquariOS, FireHound 4.3 and older, Unholy 3.1.1, and Validus 8.1.0(build is on G+ or in 6P General)...

I haven't tried stock. I really like Lineage and would like to keep using it.
Yeah, I live way out in the country too. I don't need a range extender but pretty much all my internet goes through my cell phone via tether. I really like Lineage and would like to keep using it.

Try resetting the mobile, follow the path: Settings/System/Reset options/Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth
You'll need to re-enter Wi-Fi passwords and pair any Bluetooth devices again, but this fixed the no VoLTE on Verizon for my Marlin (Pixel XL) running FireHound (which is a LOS based ROM)

Greetings,
I have what I hope is a simple question.
Is Lineage compatible with the Google Fi network?
I have a Moto X4 running AndroidOne.
If I install the Google Fi app, will that enable network switching? Will my Google VPN still work?
Thanks in advance for your time and assistance,
~ Phil
I too would like to know if anyone has figured this out. I switched to LineageOS 16 because the latest updates cause the calls to sound horrible to the person on the other end of the line. They have a hard time hearing me, the audio is muffled and fades in and out. Sounds like I have a sock in my mouth. My wifes phone (also an X4) is doing the same thing. On LineageOS my voice on the other end of the line is crystal clear and I can also hear the other person much better. It is almost too loud even with the volume turned all the way down. Speakerphone could use more volume.
I have searched high and low to find a solution to get my network switching back. I have flashed different zip files with the promise of fixing CDMA but no dice. It appears the APNs are there but for some reason its next to impossible to get connected to Sprint or US Cellular and when I do, there is no LTE data, if any data at all.
I have flashed the FI app with Aroma Open Gapps, I have flashed SprintDM, and other files with no luck. Please help! Thanks
Can't really help, but

It takes more than just the Project Fi app; make sure you have Google Connectivity Services and Carrier Services. There's a thread from a couple of years ago on Reddit started by someone who got their panties in a bunch because these apps are proprietary, not open source, and were included in a Lineage release. I don't think they succeeded in getting them taken off, because these are Google "Core Services" and (I think) specifically tailored to each phone. You can read about it here https://www.reddit.com/r/LineageOS/comments/83wqdp/project_fi_and_gapps_inside_lineageos/dvuo8m7/
