I see you are using XXJPQ, this is an unknown ROM to us, root is not implemented for this ROM. It may need special tweaking. Have you tried the "rageagainstthecage" method?

i know i must root with SOC, but it freezes on "waiting for device".
yes, this JPQ i can't find anywhere, it came on kies, here in croatia.. i tried "rageagainstthecage", but stil freezes (not responding) on "waiting for device".. i'm crazy, do you know where i can ask for that tweaking or developing?

but i don't want to flash that, just root as it is, i'm not expert in that stuff, so i don't want to play with that. just simple root mine 2.2 would be nice.

z4root doesn't work on froyo. the only best method is super one click. right lick on super one click and run as administrator, that shud help u.

try this one it works every time for me on all roms i have tried

do one thing if u have any other external hdd or any other USB devices connected to ur pc remove them all i dont know why but some times the apps gets confused and does not work and also temp stop ur virus scan while doing the process

Super One Click HAS to work.
Since you updated you might not have USB debugging enabled... so make sure you do.
Also, try removing your SD card. (know it sounds stupid... but do it anyway.)

yeees i enabled.. and when i check drivers it says "no issue found!!" i think a problem is that JPQ. i will try tomorrow to save it and upload it.
I was having trouble rooting till a few days ago. of course, i was technically inept and kind of stupid. and though i see your problem might be a bit different because of the official ROM, but it's worth a shot.
Which version of SOC are you using? the one in the rooting thread or the latest one? the 1.7 didn't work for me, neither did 1.8 but 1.9 did the trick. Try that.
did you do the boot method? you turn on the phone while the rooting process is running on your pc and it is waiting for a device?

maaan, thank you so much!! it did it!! it stoped at waiting for device, and i was sceptik, but when i turned on my phone, it recognized and worked. officiali rooted!! guys thanks for help!!
(still, maybe it's not only that, because, i went on pc device managare and click to update that ADB drivers while phone was booting, maybe that did the trick too. just saying, so if anybody has the same problems, to try that too. )

yes, it's rootable. but has bug, like somebody said for jpm, back key in contacts doesnt work, turn screen on only with home key. and it has some lags, freezes sometimes, stock browser is slower and buggier than 2.1 (jk1).
I have used flashtool successfully before without a problem. I just got a new computer and I can't get it to work. When I hold the back button and plug the usb cable in nothing happens.
Ok so now windows is telling me that S1bootdownload driver is not found. How do I get this driver? Is it causing the problem?

Seems like I spoke to soon. Flashtool seems like it is working it even says at the end

When I go to turn on my phone its the same way as it was before. Nothing changed my apps were still there I even checked under settings and it still said android 2.3.3 when I flashed a 2.3.3 ftf file.
Also am I supposed to use the 2.9.1 beta or the 2.8. I can't remember which one I used before but right now I used the 2.9.1 beta.
After I flashed my phone shows the date as March 28, 1980

Make sure you are using the correct port number (and you are using CMD in the right folder), of course drivers etc too; ended up being the wrong port number I kept putting in for me and took 2x for it to finally work (froze first time).
I did have the same problem, try writing -p COM3 instead of -p 3.
Make sure the phone is visible from adb in Windows and type: adb reboot edl, then use the dump tool.

What error do you get? I've returned to stock many times on Mac and pc. Flash all from the stock software files should do everything that needs to be done. I always fastball -w before and after return to stock as well.

when im in bootloader and enter fastboot devaces it dont recognizes and when i enter wastboot -w it have no react.
I know this may seem like a obvious thing, but do you have developer mode active on the phone and USB debugging switched on?

yes debugging mode is active. but when phone goes to bootloader usb unplug sound hears from computer.

You can enter *#9959# on the dial pad to enter fingerprint calibration mode, and then calibrate the fingerprint, it will return to normal

Yes, I did that many times by holding down power+volume down+volume up together till it redetects in device manager. Same issue, any other ideas please....

Same issue with ACK count don't match. I tried with MiFlash Beta Tool but the application is stuck with flashing super.img
Can anyone help me with this?
My phone was completely dead even its not recognized by my computer in usb port can you tell me if this tool is helpful.

Useful, I have tested it. You can repair your phone by entering edl mode.
