Hello Everyone,
I was wondering how everyone's experience with the leather, specifically the natural leather, and plastic backs? I like the idea of the leather aging naturally, but wasn't sure how the new leather compared to the Moto X 2014. I am curious how the plastic backs compare to the OG Moto X (2013). Also does anyone know if there is a place where you can view the backs before buying the phone? Thanks for the help.
I've got the black plastic back, it's got a diagonal ribbed texture which helps a lot for grip. It's not anything like the almost waxy plastic texture of the white and black version of the OG Moto X that I had.

It's also a bit of a rubberized material too so it's that much more grippy feeling.

I've got the natural leather. I like it better than in the 2014 Moto X. I like the texture and it feels more premium. It is wearing pretty evenly and looks better than on the 2014, except where I dropped a French fry on it then jacked it up trying to get the grease stain out. But I know a good way to do it now, after the fact!

I know most here have purchased the Innocase shell which looks great but I am interested in the Hybrid with the crystal front and rubberized back. Anyone have any comments or suggestions on the Hybrid vs. the Innocase? Thanks

I bought the hybrid case. I'm currently trying to return it for the all rubber surface. Fit and form is great, but the clear top half isn't necessary. The black rubber is much nicer and better.
Alright thanks for the tip, I was interested in its looks but I had a feeling that the top has practically no use compared to the rubber.
I had the Hybrid and returned it for the Surface (all black rubberized). The hybrid isn't necessary, and it feels kinda cheap to be honest. Seidio was very good about the RMA and exchange. pretty quick too! i sent the Hybrid away on monday and the following wednesday I had the Surface.
Can any of these cases fit over the zagg is?
Is the back of your Iconia A500 really metal Aluminum or is it plastic made to look like brushed metal?
I know... silly sounding question but I noticed a lot of posts and reviews for the Iconia which mention the brushed aluminum case as a plus, giving it a sturdy feel. However, I swear that mine is just regular plastic made to look like brushed metal. Not really a bad thing but it struck me as odd to be pointing that out if it's not really metal.
So, unless I've just become old and can't tell the difference between metal and plastic I thought I'd ask all of you what your back panel is really made of?
Maybe it's just the Gen-2 USA version that went plastic? For reference mine was manufactured in Aug '11 (PN XE.H60PN.002)

Mine was May '11 and it's plastic!
my tab was pre ordered from best buy. I have had it apart so know its a very thin layer of allum. With plastic behind it.To me plastic might have been better as mine as a slightly bent corner and causes causing a Small gap.
I thought they all except the P b liberty. Tab
Mine is Aluminum, bought at Office Depot on July.
I bought mine about a week ago but upon turning it on it was running 3.0 so i imagine it's an older model.
How do I verify the date the tablet was made? Also I am about 90% positive it's aluminum.

I found the date on the box...
It looks to be a mixed bag... some are plastic, some are aliminum. A co-worker just got one at Target and it was plastic like mine, but a demo unit at OfficeDepot was metal... so maybe just the newer runs?
Thanks everybody who chimed in!
mine's a 32GB model, manufactured in June 2011, bought it at Costco, and it's definitely metal
Is the glass that is on the droid x really glass or is it a plastic type? can anyone recommend a good place to buy a replacement? I want to have one without scratches but not sure how to go about this

I'm not sure where to get a replacement, but I believe the Droid X's screen is made with Gorilla Glass (which should be fairly scratch resistant).
Motorola says that the Z PLAY has Gorilla glass (3 or 4, they haven't confirmed till now!).
But there are many cases of breaking of glass of Z PLAY at very first drop.
If the glass used in the device is Gorilla glass it should not break!
Even Motorola hasn't confirmed the Version of Gorilla glass used in this device because Glass used in this device isn't a gorilla glass but a normal glass.(That just protects the screen from some scratches)
It isn't fair!
WE SHOULD DO SOMETHING!
THEY CAN'T SIMPLY FOOL US.!
Gorrila Glass brakes. If it's a 3 or a 4 it's just harder to scratch it. Gorrila Glass 5 is harder to brake than usual but the rest brake.
Phones with gorilla glass 3 have been out for quite some time now, and they break like any other phone. It's just more scratch resistant. And any phone could break on the first fall, because they aren't made for falling (except for CAT ones). But, if you use a screen protector and a bumper case, you should be fine.
Glass breaks. Get over it.
Whether it is gg 3 or 4 I don't know. But while my Moto g 2014's screen was free from scratches for over 2 years of usage this phone has picked up some microscratches in 6 months.

GG3
Do what everyone else in the world does when they have a smartphone. Take precautions. Buy a good case and screen protector. Obviously everyone wants to sympathize with you, but glass breaks. Period. End of story.
Gorilla glass does break sometimes as for my z play i have a bumper case and i have dropped my phone at least 5 times and it hasn't broke so i'm good with it so far god bless!
Gorilla Glass isn't unbreakable. If you drop your phone it is natural it breaks, regardless of OEM. Just use a good case if you're concerned about it.
Never been on ebay before, eh? It's full of shattered GG from every make and model of phone with every generation of GG. The people who tell you no one needs screen protectors or cases are full of it. You can risk going without if you greatly value the aesthetics, but if you drop your phone, especially on the corner or against some sharp object (like a rock or corner of a coffee table etc), you can break the glass easily enough. A case with a good lip, good corner protection and a TGSP are a lot cheaper than insurance or device replacement.
Gorilla glass breaks , use good case, no need lf scratch gaurd, using z play since 6 months without scratch gaurd and i am running good.
I'm using device with Back cover and also one external glass(Temper glass).
Also dropped phone once but it didn't break.

That's your own fault for dropping it. What does Motorola have to do with what physically happens to your phone after it is out of the box?

Other companies give best glass like GG 4 or 5 on under 20k.
Moto use GG 3 in Z Play but is very thin and is easily breakable.
Back glass is also of very bad quality and is easily scratchable.
Camera lens are also of low quality and are scratched easily even if we use shell and backcover also.
Performance is decent and gaming is also decent in the device
The quality of material used are of very low quality.
And this is done to differentiate the device from it's bigger version Moto Z (That uses shatterproof display and good quality material)

Better buyRedmi Note 4 under13k
Moto can beat any brand only 1week after can't Becose built really bad
Has anyone seen a ultra thin hard crystal case for the note 10+. Not looking for TPU it needs to be hard crystal and ultra thin if possible.
Can anyone recommend me anything? Im currently using a memumi ultra thin case which is perfect but ideally id like a clear crystal case as thin.
Thanks
You mean, cristal back with tpu or aluminum frame?
I ordered one of these from ebay, sent from china:
https://ebay.us/xwaaX4
tempered glass back, anodized aluminum frame, very thin, not very protective, but definitively looks really nice!
In terms of aesthetics, this is my favourite case, but tbh, atm just using a transparent back skin and a film screen protector.

I like this one. Pairs perfectly with whitestone dome and feels like a naked phone. Looks great, feels better. But get used to cleaning off fingerprints.

How has been your experience with this case?
I really like it, but sadly could't find it in any store
It looks really beautiful, but I think that regarding protection, it will not wthstand a "normal" drop, I mean, 50-100 cm fall, it is good enough to avoid scratches and maybe very short drops, but, it looks really nice
