So, I upgraded my phone to Lollipop before rooting it so I'm kinda screwed
I found this app to help me debloat my phone:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/debloater-remove-carrier-bloat-t2998294
And also searched and found safe to block debloat lists for Android 4.4.2. But, is there a list for Lollipop?

Hello.
I'm running tha latest stock 4.4.2 with root in my i9500, and i cant' find a updated list of Samsung bloatware that is safe to remove.
I'm planing to use Titanium Backup to remove those crapware, there is a easy way ?
Anyone can provide me a list off system apps that is safe to remove ?
Thanks.

Hello,
I have a question? Yesterday I have updated my Samsung Galaxy S5 to Lollipop 5.0. I was very happy until I have discovered some issues. For example the silence mode is not available any more. After a lot of searching on the net, I have discovered that I have found out that I can use the "Do not disturb" mode. So that issue was solved.
But I also have found out that my Adblock Plus is not working anymore on this firmware? Does anyone know why it is not working on the Lollipop 5.0?
Is there an other option or tool to block Ads in Chrome and web browsers and apps?
My phone is not rooted and I have no experience with this. Is it risky to root my phone? And what are the benefits of rooting?
Is it true that if you root your phone, you can unroot it, but there is always a history in the system that you can see that the phone was rooted?
Thank you very much.

Hi Guys
There's an OTA 5.0 update ready for my GS5. The problem is that I have root (Towelroot) and want to keep it.
From what I've been reading it looks like all root methods are either ustable of KNOX tripping.
Thanks in advance.
Same issue here
I've got a G900F - no carrier, but running on 3 in the UK anyway. When I got it, it was on Kitkat, and Towelroot wouldn't work due to the compile date being > Towelroot's ability. I downgraded the kernal as per the thread in the General section (as a note, the thread "How to root - all variants" is so far out of date, it's going to lead to people with less experience nuking their devices, perhaps we should unsticky that thread and write up a cleaner version for all the variants out there?) then rooted, and changed the kernal back to my original one.
Great - now I have a rooted, KNOX 0x0 S5 running kitkat. Now Lollipop is available and I'd like to update. So some questions on how I do this and...
1. Retain root with KNOX 0x0
2. Not trash my installed apps / configurations
I know I'll need to update via say Kies as OTA won't be available to me but if/when I update will I keep installed apps / configs? And how do I keep root without affecting KNOX?
This would, I imagine, be a common scenario and worth creating a sticky / section in an updated "How to root all variants" sticky.
Thanks everyone,
a.
Take this only as a pointer because I can't remember exactly what I read, but I think you can update to Lollipop using Mobile ODIN Pro with the Pre-Root option checked, using a stock Lollipop ROM from sammobile / XDA so long as you are already running a rooted KitKat ROM, and that doesn't flag the KNOX counter
Im new to the S5 and just gathering info myself, so make sure you check up on that yourself thoroughly first

Thanks for reminding us of Mobile Odin Pro. It's got the ability to reinject root on firmware installation and not tripping the binary counter.
Can someone confirm whether this method still works on Galaxy S5 when installing 5.0 firmware?
The last comment from Chainfire in his mobile odin thread was that it wasn't compatible yet.....but being worked on......no updates since that post.
Sent from my rooted kn0x0 SM-G900F S5
Yep, that's what I thought as well. I guess I will have to wait a bit. No big deal.
Thanks Keithross
Like the title says, I have a g900v running 4.4.2 with ank7 and it seems like that's a combo nobody else has. I had it rooted before but I believe I accidentally updated with an OTA at one point and lost root. Does anyone know how to regain root from here, or guide me to which updates I should install to get to a rootable firmware? Thanks in advance!
also, I do like 4.4.2 a little more than 5.0. My gf has 5.0 and I'm not too fond of it, but if 5.0 or 6.0 are a lot better speed-wise then I'd be ok with upgrading. I'm just not a big fan on how it looks.
Does anyone have any tips or knowledge on what I need to do to get root back?
Have you tried to root using towelroot by geohot?
you can install it just by googling towelroot and then installing it
once installed you just click make it rain and you should get root
Try this web page if it doesn't work at first
http://www.naldotech.com/how-to-fix-towelroot-phone-isnt-supported-problem/
otherwise flash using odin to a different KitKat firmware that is supported by towelroot and then root
