[Q] Some questions about rooting

Hello guys, I have some questions I am hoping you experienced people can answer for me.
After doing a bunch of research, I am left a bit confused since a lot of the posts are older, and things have changed over the last few months, especially with locked bootloaders and such.
My current phone is:
-Samsung S4 (Fido based) SGH-i337M
-Android Version 4.3
-Baseband Version i337MVLUEMK6
I only want to ROOT the phone, so I can remove a bunch of excess Samsung bloatware that I never use, I am not really interested in custom ROM's at this time.
1. What is a Custom Recovery exactly?
I keep reading about Custom Recoveries but I don't really know what they are exactly... . Is this just a Firmware mirror that I can go back to at any time AFTER I root the device? Do I need to root the device to CREATE the Custom Recovery?
2. CAN I go back to "Stock" easily? Can I just find the original 4.3 Samsung FW and load it up?
3. I know that moving to 4.4 will require another Root when it becomes available later this month from Samsung, however can I go to the Default Android 4.4 ROM at this time, skipping all the Samsung Stuff?
4. I see a programmed called KINGO offering to root my phone for me, but then somebody said something about there not being a Custom Recovery available for it, which goes up to my original question. Can I not just revert back to unrooted status after?
Thanks to anybody who can help me with these noobish questions, I appreciate it.
I don't have your model so don't want to guess at rooting.
But:
Do not remove Bloatware after rooted. Get Titanium BackuP from the Market. The paid version (support devs) and just freeze the apps until you know they have no negative impact after freezing.
Do a Nandroid ASAP and put a copy on PC also.
Read this on your Recovery question:
http://freedupthoughts.com/2013/04/what-is-custom-recovery-why-should-i.html
You have an unlocked bootloader with the i337m
Someone else can address correct rooting for your specific device and get the correct recovery for it. I prefer TWRP.

New S5 user, want to root

Hello guys, I got an S5 since a couple of weeks, and now want to root and install some ROM.
I come from iPhone, so I'm really noob on android stuff
Before root it, I want to be sure of what I'm going to do, so:
Wich kind of root have I to do?
If I want to go back to stock ROM how to do it? Can I do a sort of backup of everything (especially the rom I have now, the stock one) and restore? If yes, how can I do?
Little note: my phone come from groupon, and I don't know if is branded, when I turned on for the first time it has some AT&T apps (if I'm not wrong) already installed, but good note, the system has let me uninstall everything, so I removed all the apps.
There is a screenshot of my system info etc:

Use this Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app to obtain more detailed info about your device.
To go back to stock ROM: in that app, open the Menu > 'Firmware Browser' to download the stock firmware for your device and flash via Odin.

What apps are safe to debloat on Lollipop?

So, I upgraded my phone to Lollipop before rooting it so I'm kinda screwed
I found this app to help me debloat my phone:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/debloater-remove-carrier-bloat-t2998294
And also searched and found safe to block debloat lists for Android 4.4.2. But, is there a list for Lollipop?

Samsung s4 GT-19507

Hey guys I was given this phone and it's full of bloatware I can't uninstall (running android 5.0.1). I noticed the model number of this specific type of s4 was only released in australia with optus/virgin? I have read other parts of the forum trying to find out if it is safe to put a custom rom on the phone, but all links are dead to files needed. Can anyone out there point me to a custom rom not full of bloatware that will work on this model phone? Also I have read there will be problem with the modem aswell if I do flash a custom rom on it.

Are we talking about TouchWiz custom ROMs or normal custom ROMs?
I don't know if TouchWiz custom ROMs will work, but this should work on your model.

SM-N900W8? Help with finding the right rom or at least fix...

Hey everyone...
I hope this isn't another repost but... How can I remove all the bloatware on this phone? It is a Rogers (Canadian) phone, with their ROM.
I am on Android 5.0 to the latest update.
I want to run something that is more cleaner than the Samsung rom and I don't really want all that other non-sense from Rogers.
If that is not possible how could I remove the Rogers bloatware from the phone?
Thanks guys!
Root the phone with cfautoroot and Odin. With root, install Titanium Backup and freeze or remove the unwanted apps.
