Does anyone know if the native WiFi Tethering will work right out of the box? This is my first device not bought from Sprint.
More than likely you will have to do a small SQL edit and a build prop edit to get it to work just like the nexus 6

Just picked up a nexus 4 a few days ago, in using it on the t mobile network, at work I don't get reception inside the building and have always relied on Wi-Fi calling, does anyone know if there is a way to get the Wi-Fi calling apk on the phone and have it work

It needs to be enabled at the kernel level, which has not yet been done.
So no, currently no way.
I got the nexus Monday and put in cyanogen mod now when I tether I'm getting the up sell page for hotspot any ideas?

That's because you didn't buy the hotspot feature for your phone. The page will continue to pop up to tell you to add and pay for the feature to continue tethering.

Poppycock. OP, just get Firefox and get the extension that allows you to change your user agent. Once tmobile sees a mobile device they will allow tethering.
Google is your friend.
My WiFi doesn't reach my whole house on my nexus 7 but it does on my phone. I was wondering if it would be possible to tether the WiFi through an otg cable from my phone to my n7. I already know it is not possible to tether WiFi and through wifi hotspot because you can't use both at the same time and I don't want to use bluetooth.
No. It's can't be done.

I have an AT&T SGS4 and their bloatware makes me sick but their feature that automatically logs you in to AT&T Wi-Fi hotspots is nice. Has anyone got that to work on a Nexus 7?
Would also like to get it to work on s Nexus 5 but that is for another day.
Thanks.

Hi everyone,
As the title says, is there a way to tether with giffgaff. I don't think the £12 goodybag includes tethering so I tried using various root apps and a vpn but no luck. Does anyone know of a way or should I just give up and switch to threes One plan? I have a nexus 4, rooted running 4.3.1 slimrom. One other thing, I am looking to WIFI tether, not USB. Thanks in advance
Probably not the most helpful answer but tethering worked fine for me on 4.3.1 on giffgaff (£10 goodybag). You are right in that the £12 goodybag doesn't include tethering. Try looking at the T-Mobile tethering threads and the various apps like barnacle tether for more help.

I've tried that barnacle app already. It's fine though, I just gave up and decided to go with threes one plan, my sim should arrive in a few days and it includes tethering

Are you using a factory unlocked phone, or one from a network? Id say network. In that case it won't work as they will probably have blocked it. I made a mistake of buying a phone from 3 rooting, changing carrier but tethering would not work. My factory unlocked phone allows tethering on any network wireless or wired
