Hello,
yesterday I tried to boot my tablet and after the logo "Lenovo" appeared on the screen, nothing happened (the screen was stuck on "Lenovo").
Tried to power off/on several times, same behaviour.
I charged it the whole night, and today when I tried to boot it, after the logo "Lenovo" appeared on the screen, the screen started flickering (random gray/green lines here and there)...
Any help?
Do you think it's a hardware or software problem?
Thanks
did you tried to do something ? any flashing/rooting attempt etc?
in any case you could try flashing a stock rom anew so at least you will know what is the problem... could be anything
(i have assumed you have an android tablet, maybe you could also post the model when asking)

I rooted it and flashed it a few months ago. Have been using it with multiuser feature (4 users).
Worked until yesterday.

Thanks.
While booting (when the LENOVO logo appears) I kept pressing VOLUME UP button.
It entered recovery mode, where I deleted cache only (no factory reset).
After that it booted correctly.
I reckon the multiuser feature (I set up 4 users) could maybe use a lot of ram and the device gets stuck.
Not sure how to reproduce the problem, I'll maybe try a factory reset to check if the issue is still there.

I have a Nexus 7 2012 version since 2014, after many updates and installing apps it was becoming slowly and unusable, so I dicided to flash and install Cyanogenmod 12.1, after installing it, all was fast and smooth, I loved it, but after a month it was turning laggy again, so I decided to use Nexus Root Toolkit to come back to 4.4.4 stock. After flashing, the tablet still in recovery mode, I selected START using the buttons, and the Google logo appeared but a little message in the corner of the screen scared me, it said "booting failed" , so I tried to flash again, but now using the option "the tablet is bricked/bootloop" but it didn't work, so I tried to turn off the tablet and power in again, but nothing happened when I tried to turn on again, the tablet didn't turned on and now it still off, when I plug the charger the battery logo doesn't appear and tried to press the power button for 30 seconds without success, I need help guys, someone told me that it will be possible to fix it, but he doesn't know how to do it.
Thanks for your attention!
Hello,
please charge you Nexus 7 (2012) 2 hours and then try to boot into Fastboot-Mode!
Try holding power button and volume down until the Google logo shows up
I fixed my nexus 7 doing that when it wouldn't turn on

About a year ago, I decided to try the 5.0 release. Upon installation and reboot, It stuck at the "Google" logo. I was able to get into the bootloader, and it said it was still unlocked, but I couldn't do anything: boot to system failed, and even boot to recovery failed. Formatting/deleting the various partitions failed (cache partition was corrupt but couldn't be formatted); flashing a bootloader from the latest Google images didn't help.
I fixed it by buying a used motherboard from eBay for $30. It was fine with 4.4.4/f2fs for about three months, but when I once again upgraded to 5.0, the *exact same* thing happened.
I now have yet another motherboard and will not ever upgrade past KitKat.
Hi all!
Here is a little problem that i didn't solved.
i have a N910F Note 4 that likes to boot loop . I received it as it is and don't know what caused it(i suppose that was a rooting issue because had the knox value 1)
During the all time, PC and MAC were unable to recognize the Note 4, despite of repeatedly reinstalled drivers(older and newer versions) , Keys and Smart Switch were unable to recognize the device, PC is failing to install the MTP driver for some reason. I changed the USB ports, restarted, updated drivers, updated windows etc. -NO RESULT. BUT : Somehow Keys is able to run recovery and initialization and install it on the device while saying Connecting device... , phone also doesn't appear in device manager or file explorer as external drive.NOTHING! Odin and Jodin says ''added!'' and starts the job with no comments
1. I tried different versions of boot loaders with different versions of ROM (all for my specific model) with no result.
The end of the boot is when Samsung logo ,sound and graphic appears but freezes before actually starting OS, then restarts. IT keeps restarting until battery goes off(even while connected to pc by usb!!! ). Then starts to charge the battery normally.
It boots in recovery and download mode with no problems, it did every time i flashed it…
2. I tried different versions of boot loaders with stock roms , custom kernels etc...and the problem was the same
3. I tried to flash with Odin the stock 4.4.4 without problems but….the problem was the same
4.I tried Device recovery and initialization with Keys and here something interesting happened:
First time when i did it, it went over the samsung logo and booted. I selected language,i skipped wifi network selection and i accepted the user agreement. No matter how fast i was moving, the boot loop didn't went over the user name selection which is after the user agreement. Then freeze and boot again.
Second time when recovered with Keys (tried more stuff in the mean time) it went over the logo and started to update like…''updating applications 2of 17'' the max reach point was ''3 apps of 17'' and then freeze and reboot
I am out of ideas so i suspect that the battery might be dead because it gets empty even if is charging while phone is ''boot looping''. I ordered a battery, should arrive soon.
If that don't work…i am gonna spend some cash and sent it to Samsung for repairs (i bet that it won't be cheap because they will probably tell me that is the motherboard fried so they make you pay for being a bad boy and tried to root). Far as i know is not a brick as long as download mode and recovery works just fine.
Is here someone that has any new ideas for bringing this phone to life? Any help is well received , maybe i skipped something….
Thank you in advance.
Boot into recovery and perform a factory reset, it will wipe the internal storage.

Uninstall Kies, and install Samsung USB drivers: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347849220
Take the battery out, leave it for approximately 10 seconds, enter the battery back in.
Hold volume down key + Home key and power on the device.
Then plug the mobile phone into the computer.
Run Odin as Admin: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347851815
Then flash the firmware in the AP section.
Make sure that the firmware is for your region, you can download it from Sammobile or SamFirm.
i have the same problem, but mine doesn't let the samsung logo finish when it shows the letter S on samsung logo it goes restart again no sound or anything, recovery is accesible, download mode is also accessible, i can flash official firmware and factory reset but nothing change, still stuck in bootloop no one here in xda knows how to fix it i think.. or they just never encounter something like this
i know how to fix an ordinary bootloops or soft bricked.. but this one is different.. i think there's something with note 4 that causes this..

Yes, it doesn't go after the Samsung graphics , mine does sound. Goes to app updates only after Kies recovery but doesn't go more far than updating apps 3/17 for ex…crushes there and starts over….weird.
One time i managed to actually go to setup menu, choose country, wifi, device name, and there crushed and started over…. So i am thinking now that the battery might be wasted because i saw posts saying that after the 5.0.1 update many Note 4's went to boot loop and the battery change solved the problem. Now i have new battery coming by post.
Hi I had a similar problem but I do not know if that works but always worth a try
1. download recovery - "twrp-2.8.1.0-trltexx"(.tar) cant post link fresh in forum
2. flash recovery through Odin (AP) ( run as administrator)
3. unplug the cable
4. Reboot to Recovery (home+power+wolume up)
5. Then go to Wipe/Advanced Wipe/check the boxes - Dalvik Cache,System,Data,Cache and Swipe to Wipe
6. Reboot to Download Mode
7. Open Odin ( run as administrator) choise the rom to flash
8 Connect the phone
7. Flash Your Stock Rom
8. Reboot
always in Odin load the file first to flash and then connect the phone
sorry for my English

nah it doesnt work thats the first thing I do, that only work on ordinary bootloop
I was stuck in a boot loop the other day trying to flash a stock ROM to get rid of encryption. I tried all the stuff mentioned in this thread which is just standard procedure but I couldn't get past the samsung logo. What it turned out to be was that you need to go to stock recovery after flashing the stock ROM via odin and do a factory data reset then it will boot to the OS. It worked in my case, maybe you can give it a try.

if you read the above post you will know that we already wipe and factory reset,
btw since i was not able to fix it, it brought it to samsung service center and they also cant fix it so they are changing the motherboard, so far they are not charging me anything and just asking to bring my receipt of purchase so it will be under warranty

I read the post; however, it did not appear as though you did a factory reset after flashing the stock ROM only before. At any rate at least you're getting a new mobo out of it and problem solved.

Hang on second boot usually means a corrupt data partition or bad app.
After factory reset leave your tablet alone for 15mins. It should boot after that.

Go to recovery and factory reset again then immediately boot to Download mode and flash the correct firmware with odin.
Make sure there are no errors when flashing and it flashes successfully.
Reboot and wait at least 10mins.

It is not broken @pitho. I have been in this situation. The problem is occurring because Samsung is such a heavily modded rom, it takes a long time to load and just as @ashyx said, because of a bad app. Some apps are aimed for Vanilla Android, but the developer does not restrict the app only for Vanilla devices but makes it universal. So, in order to get out, download the correct firmware from Updato.com
Press on the OS Updates in the website and you type in the device's name and the current build and what kind of version you want. (Ex: If you have Marshmallow, and your device had Lollipop before, you could degrade your firmware)
Download Odin (Just search it up on Google and you should find a download link)
Plug in your device to the PC after it is in Download Mode (Volume Down + Power Button + Home Button)
On Odin, it should say Device added!
Press AP slot and find the firmware (.tar.md5 or just .tar) you downloaded from Updato.com and select it.
Press Start on the bottom of the application and it should start. It takes about 2 minutes or longer to finish flashing.
There! You just restored your device! It will take a few minutes for the device to boot up and should be installing any additional files that were included in the Official Firmware.
Happy Flashing with ODIN!
Galaxy S4 I9505
Phone was second hand to me at the start of this year, though had been well looked after, always in a case etc
I flashed it with the newest stock ROM in January this year
I9505XXUHOJ2_I9505BTUHOJ1_I9505XXUHOJ2
& rooted with CF AutoRoot
It has worked fine until about 2 weeks ago, when it randomly shut down. After restarting, it kept bootlooping.
Left it off & charging overnight, & the next morning it booted ok. Managed to use spotify for a few hours.
Then it started bootlooping again, sometimes getting all the way but then crashing after a few minutes.
Managed to boot into recovery & do a 'wipe cache', that didnt fix it.
'Wipe data' didnt fix it
Have flashed the PIT file & ROM (via odin), no errors in odin, done it twice now
wiped cache & data
still wont boot past the white splash screen, only sometimes boots into recovery
(also, only the menu button lights up, not the back button.)
I've checked the power button (clicks & dosnt stick)
Dont think the batteries the issue (charges fine, dosnt get warm, isnt bulging)
What else could stop it booting?
Have you tried booting into safe mode?
Safe mode, from what I read, can be accessed by holding the menu button while the phone boots.
But you should also do some reading about it, in case I'm wrong.
The other idea would be to try a custom ROM.

Can't boot into safe mode
(& having read up on it, it would only not run apps that arn't already in the ROM)
Any suggestions for a custom ROM
& why would it work when the original official one won't?
Well, it's booted far enough to get into android & add a google account, then it bootloops again.
Then after leaving it off for a while, it will boot & let me look at settings etc, then bootloop
however
the menu soft key stays lit all the time after a boot
the top half of the phone, around the camera, gets very warm
Does that indicate it's a hardware issue?
Could it be the battery?
If it's the top half warming up without you doing anything, it's the motherboard.
Boot into recovery and and let it stand by, see if it reboots.

The battery can't prevent the ROM from booting. It would have to turn off during the boot, which it doesn't. So, by my logic, it isn't the battery.
Try official CM.

Hi
I got boot loop after (US) update. Ist keeps restarting aroudn when it shows the Lenovo logo. The most f.....cked thing is that this is my second YB from Lenovo because the first one had the exact same problem after the update so I exchanged it. I thought that it was a hardware related issue but now I see that their update is just plain fukkk up.
What do I do?

Hey,
can you access the recovery and perform a factory reset?
If not can you provide some more detail about your version of the yb (android, wifi or lte, build number, etc.), because I obtained a stock rom update, which could maybe flashed manually.
Thumbs Up
Hi,
I had the same problem with my Yoga Book Android w/o LTE (YB1-X90F) with the latest update (don't know the build)
I solved it through recovery mode.

then I wiped cache and data (factory reset)
now I have a brand new OS (again)
hopefully it will help you too
yeah I did that, but the thing is that now I lost all my apps and app settings I do not use google account etc. I hate that we do not have root for this ;(
