Hello to everyone, well i was new to the whole rooting and flashing roms thing, but i did it anyways and it seemed to work just fine , i will explain everything that i did:
i rooted my my touch 4g using the gfree method , and it worked then i flashed the rom royal ginger 3 and it booted just fine , then i just decided to turn off my phone and when i rebooted it it got stuck on the boot loop that i mention, i tried going back to recovery erase all data and re-installing royal ginger but it wont let me erase a thing not data not cache data, nor install the rom, its says the following:
E: can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E: can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E:can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
and it goes on like that on the bottom of the recovery page
i would really appreciate the help as i am very frustrated
for all of your time and help thank you very much!!!
your phone might either be dead or you have on chance to save it. hapened to mine yesterday the same thing and now doesnt turn on and i already called tmobile for a replacement. Search on how to get the pd15img on there using hboot if you have it if not your phones dead and theres nothing you can do
Look at Glacier Wiki, section "Troubleshooting". Link in my signature.
You might have to use the driver and push the ROM threw command propt
Did you check your eMMC before rooting?
Sent from my HTC myTouch 4G using xda premium
sounds like eMMC failure
I agree, I have the bad one too but its worked fine for the past few months..

sounds like its dead or a bad root. once you get it back running i would unroot and use the visionary method to root and flash using the clockwork.
if u made a stock backup like all threads strongly recommend before u flash a new rom, then just boot into recovery and install your stock backup. You do not need to wipe anything when u restore a backup. If u were attentive enough to make a stock backup then restore it and Then start over by unrooting and rerooting

He said - "it (recovery) wont let me erase a thing not data not cache data, nor install the rom". It also won't let him restore any backups.
Please read the OP carefully before replying.
Your emmc chip fried,I had the same issue. Try to use adb to push the stock recovery, then go to Tmobile an get it replaced.
If I helped, give thanks, if you please.

The op says nothing about not being able to restore a backup. When it says ” I tried to reinstall the rom” it sounded like he was trying to reinstall the zip file that booted once and then went kaput. I was only offering an option to get the fone working again. I've rooted over 100 mt4g's and ran into this issue myself and was trying to help out with what worked for me.

Mr. Highway is right, your phone's eMMC chip probably died, like my old one did.

I googled "status 7 error", but i didn't get that message. I installed the zip-file from CWM and that went "right", then i rebooted the phone and then i got stuck. Hard reset (power, volume down, home) doesn't work....just goes back in normal reboot.
Oh and i have installed the latest recovery from the ROM manager app.
I made one mistake btw, forgot to factory reset and wipe data

You need hard reset, try this several times and it will work http://www.hard-reset.com/lg-optimus-l7-p700-hard-reset.html
Edit. probably its softbrick, soo relax and u will find a way
Edit2. This is the official touch screen cwm. You will unzip it on the root of your pc ( C/ ) and do the 3 steps flash bootloader, flash recovery and reboot to recovery, it will reboot each time, and then u will not have status seven. http://hugefiles.net/mu8ta9a11mm8

On the rooted phone i installed rom manager and there i installed a new recovery.
Btw, now when i hard reboot i only get the LG logo
Edit: now i get CM-logo again.
But i can only hard reset if i press power, volume and menubutton (physical). I tried to do the same as the vids here, several times. But no success.

When i tried the bat files, i only had the LG logo and the laptop didnt recognize the phone. The bat files did nothing. Later i rebooted and i got to CMlogo again, but i didnt try the bat-files. But i did try the LG mobile support tool, and that program did find the phone. Unfortunately, it said it was an unsupported modell...
I will try the bat-file with the phone on CM-logo this evening.
I dont get any error-message when i reboot, just LG-logo and then CM-logo. It just spins and nothing more. I just cant get into CWM-recovery...
Thanks for thinking with me!

Hey guys, I was running 4.3.x for a while with the loki twrp solution and all was well, after many attempts to flash 4.4 I finally decided to ditch twrp and go to CWM, that went without a hitch and brought me into the latest nightly of CM, yet I wanted a fresh install (No accounts, no pictures media etc etc) so I tried to do factory reset from within the OS and it wouldn't let me. so I then went into recovery and tried to format things from there...
Since then I have been unable to get past the spinning CyanogenMod boot screen and though adb sees there is a device, it is telling me it is "unauthorized". Of course since I can't get into the OS the RSA confirmation thing can't come up and I can't select any system preferences. Before I went messing around in recovery formatting things ADB was working flawlessly.
Any ideas on where to go from here?
Thanks guys,
Lokin

I've never been able to mount anything using the recovery. Not sure if it because of the LG phone or of my recovery. But I've tried different ones (CWM, TWRP, Philz Touch), none was able to mount my phone from recovery. Your best bet right now is to flash the files from a OTG cable and flash drive. Also when you said you formatted the phone from the recovery, did you format the system partition as well? TWRP has that option so I assume CWM has it as well

Heyoo, just in the last hour or so I've got it all fixed!
I did a full system, data and cache format om CWM after that there was no OS or amnything of the sort, then I was able to mount the SD and adb push cm11 + gapps-kk to the sdcard, I flashed those two zips restarted, failed, then i did a system reset (resets everything but the OS) and I popped out in CM11 with a perfectly fresh install. got all that setup and am golden now ::

Check the .android folder
My problem started when I tried to connect another phone which happened to be the same type of phone as the previous one. Not sure if that's actually related, but my working hypothesis is that ADB gets confused in this scenario. I tried everything listed here and in many other places, and nothing seemed to work. Finally, I did this:
1. Rename .android folder in your user directory (~/username/.android on Mac OSX) to .android_bak (for safe keeping).
2. Restart the adb daemon: "adb kill-server" followed by "adb start-server"
After that, I got the authentication confirmation on the phone (don't forget that part, of course) and all was well.
These steps merely recreate the .android folder and get rid of any authentication credentials you already have. Note of course that this will impact all other phones you may be connecting.
Hi,
I tried out ubuntu touch and wanted to revert to stock before flashing cm (because I havn't had a rom on my storage).
After flashing the stock image via fastboot (using that flash-all.sh included in official download) my nexus stucks at boot animation.
Then I flashed recovery (I tried both, CWM and TWRP) and tried to do a factory reset -> unable to mount internal storage, also the space of my internal storage was 0MB (obviously because it can't mount anything), so it exited with an error. Then I formatted just every partion in CWM and I was able to mount again, flashed stock image ... stuck at boot animation. Tried flashing cm via sideload... stuck at boot animation.
Google didn't helped me.
Does somebody know what to do now?
Thanks

you should only have to clear the cache...factory reset shouldn't be necessary. Remember if you do have to do a factory reset, it will wipe all your storage completely if you use stock recovery to do it. Don't forget to back everything up first!

Boot into fastboot mode. Then from your pc with your device hooked up via usb type fastboot boot recovery. See if that will get you into recovery
Sent from my Nexus 5
It says 'cannot load 'recovery'' and also, I tried flashing ubuntu touch again and it worked.
Edit:
I think it has something to do with my /data partition. It said unable to mount /data again. After fixing that (for some reason it works if I select "format /data and /data/media (/sdcard)" (CWM) I can also format /data. But there a difference between that an all other partitions: for every other partition its like that: mount -> format -> unmount, but for /data it just don't do the last step, it stays mounted.
No on an idea? Do I need to send it in?
Try downloading The Root Toolkit Here.
Connect your phone, open the toolkit. On The First Page select "Soft-Bricked/Bootloop" and Flash Stock+Unroot.
This should Help.
Yeeeeeeey, I have no idea what the tool did, but it works now
Thank you for the tip

Hi, i flashed my phone with custom rom and my phone keep restarting everytime i started it. And i cant use recovery (twrp) because it restarts in recovery mode too, it can go only in download mode.. please tell me its not hard brick that cant be fixed in software. Thanks
Well if it only restarts in download mode the only thing you can do is to return to stock. Download the latest firmware of your device variant and flash it via Odin. I suggest you to flash a lollipop one and then update to Marshmallow if you want.

Yo!
First, calm down because its not hard brick You can fix it and its quite easy.
Follow these steps:
1) Download and install the proper DRIVERS for your phone (it should be done automatically when you connect the phone to the PC).
2) The phone should have at least 50% battery!
3) Download ODIN program. I'm using v3.09
4) Download the stock rom for J500FN from here: MEDIAFIRE <--- click . This is a firmware which i have uploaded in past, for faster download and is based on 5.1.1 lollipop.
If you want other firmware, then check on SAMMOBILE or other website.
You can use SamFirm to download firmwares faster: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/general/tool-samfirm-samsung-firmware-t2988647 (even if says deprecated, it works fine).
5) Extract ODIN archive and run it (.exe file).
6) Extract the stock rom .zip archive and you will get a xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.tar.md5 file (xxxxxxxxxx= name of the stock rom)

Now flash TWRP and go to recovery and wipe data, cache and dalvik cache. Then the bootloop should be gone.
If you still have a bootloop after doing this, then try to reflash the stock rom.

Then reflash stock rom and reboot. If you get bootloop, go to recovery ( STOCK recovery) and wipe data and cache, but keep in mind that when you are wiping data, it may wipe the whole internal memory, not just data. It happened to me on some newer firmware. And then reboot again.
