Hi guys,
So I just noticed that a lot of us are having a hard time with Mate 7's latest firmware B324. Some people are posting questions whether it's ok to upgrade from this version or that to B324. Only a handful of people were able to upgrade to LP without problems -- and when I say without problems, people who were able to upgrade their phones without any bugs.
Anyway, I just want to share with you guys what I have experienced. And I want to show you what I did.
I did 3 downgrades, all of them were because of the bugs found in B324.
THESE ARE ONLY APPLICABLE TO TL10
1. B120SP04 -> B324 (I did not do a factory reset. I flashed it manually)
Smart Screenshot works. Cannot get circle motion screenshot to work.
Scrolling is a bit laggy.
2 separate instances of Message app running
Motion Control is present
2. B120SP04 -> B324 (Cleared cache partition, reformatted phone. Flashed it manually)
Smart Screenshot doesn't work. Cannot get circle motion screenshot to work.
Scrolling is a bit laggy.
2 separate instances of Message app running
Motion Control is present
3. B120SP04 -> B130 -> B324 (Factory reset. Downloaded B130 via OTA)

i was on a custom rom b132kangvp don't know if my version is the eu or cn its the gold mt7 tl10 32gb/3gb
I dont know how to flash a stock rom. But there is a guide on how to do it. Never done anything like that so I cannot help you. But if ever you were able to flash a stock rom just follow use step 4.

In this case I guess u had rooted ur device too bcoz kangvp can install from recovery tools...so I think u need to install custom recovery first and then intall 120 via volum+- and power key then upgrade 125 and then do a factory reset including internal memory then install lollipop official...

Im not sure about that but you can experiment. Apparently, depending on which you upgrade from, I think you will get different outcomes.
Try doing 1-4. For me, 4 is the best. No bugs at the moment.

markchong89 is right bcoz I upgrade lp from 125 and bfore 125 I was on 120 mean I was on 120 for about 3month then 125 for about 4 month then install lp...120 and 125 are official stock rom that was defined as a most stable version in kk...may be that the reason lp also stable on that kk...

Yep bro if u do same steps like markchong89 said u will get both sims ringtone selection opion...I was quite angry with beta versions bcoz I cant find option for dual sim diff ringtone selector...I also did the same steps like markchong and I got that in this one...

B125 -> B324
Sim slot 2 has no problem. I am able to choose ringtone. But for notification, it is the same with sim slot 1.

i tried that 120 won't install when i do it via volum+- and power key it just fail it don't start but when i try with 127 i get to about 50 then cust fail shows up. aint they like two models of the mt7 tl10?

Wait, you mean you changed your ringtone on B125 and when you updated to B324 it changed again?
Isnt that normal because your data will be wiped, including settings and such.
But was sim 2 working or not?

sim 2 working normal calls + messages
but when I update to B324 its same ring tone I have chosen on B 125 noting change pluse the option of change tone sim 2 on ----Setting -----> sound disapper
any suggestion to fix option of tone

in order to update to the new B317 you need to have 5.1 Lollipop update (Build B308) installed on your phone otherwise you'll be wasting your time.

no, you need to be on stock recovery, but you can still be rooted, be aware that the flashing process will wipe your device and you will need to root again after
Is it another beta or final lollipop release?
To those who have installed it already: is it still laggy as b308 and b312? I have tried both, now downgrdaded to kitkat and I actually CAN use my phone again... lollipop in Mate 7 is a disaster

This is beta but is the closest thing to the final one as it is very fast and polished with no problem so far, make sure to factory reset your device :good:

ok guys becarefull , don't be root during the process or the update will fail and put you in bootloop. i was in b308 with stock recovery but rooted and my device dld the b317 OTA but failed to aplli it... otherwise the b317 is very very close to final release no bug at all. i just beg huawei for 2 things, the lake of option and action with the intelligent case and the lake of option and action with the fingerprint scanner ( like in the honor 7 ).
Anyone can say something about performance vs b145? My battery life is amazing on that latest kitkat and the phone itself is very snappy and fast, no lag at all even with many apps opened. Tried both lollipops(b308 and b312) and it was like 3 years step back in terms of performance(very laggy and slow). I love fingerprint call answering(which is only in lollipop) but I can live without it having a phone with great battery life and actually usable... can someone compare b145 and b317??

I only just bought the phone, updated it to b308. Now I was trying to install the b317 update but it fails at 3%. Any idea what might be going wrong? Tried both internal and external memory

I have a question, I saw fingerprint sensor which can be use for notification, if u slide down ur finger the notification panel will down, when u double tab on fingerprint sensor all notification will clear, when u slide up ur finger the notification panel will up...I saw these new function in lollipop but it didnt work when I was on 313...can u pls test it and reply me is it work or not?

Doesn't work for me. Restored original recovery, tried manual update to b308 but no luck.
zip looks fine but flash give me error "Failed".
I'm on 137.SP03
I've got B308 somewhere. Trying to find it and retry.
İ has the problem you have to load b137 again with 3 button method . After that i could load the b308 and b317 updates.
It's great update b317. Super smooth and optimized. Couple of extra features has been added, also few not so much to my liking...but overall great improvement to b312, maybe close to final release.

have you verified if those options are checked in impostazioni -> controllo del movimento? in case of malfunctions, a factory reset is the definitive solution

Same here, All Motion Control options disappeared , and now Sim 1 is 2G/3G/4G and no option to switch to Sim 2 as in Kitkat
Tried to downgrade using B300 Downgrade package but failed also. Maybe today i'll unlock bootloader and try anyway to flash Kitkat using FastBoot
improved battery life with this new firmware, great job from huawei

It is simple. Just use a file explorer (like es file explorer) to unzip it to a folder named dload on sd or internal memory then go to settings/update/local update and hit install. No pc needed, works the same as ota download.
Do I lose everything and have to start from scratch? I read I have to unlock the bootloader.

Can anyone root this lollipop ROM?
Not tried yet, I'm not sure there is a custom recovery working with it yet?
If you have modified your device, are still on Lollipop and you'd like to revert your UK device back to complete stock, then you can use this package.
Download the zip, extract and put on a microSD (preversing the dload/UPDATE.APP structure).
Turn off your device, plug it into a charger (but not a computer) then, with the microSD inserted, tap the power button while holding volume up and volume down. The update will apply and you will be back to bone stock B130. Your device WILL be wiped.

I couldn't use the existing L21 B130 ROMs available on my UK device so I assume there are sufficient differences preventing installation.
I've bought my device in germany from vmall.eu and have the same Build and Cust N° - I guess this rom is not just for UK.
BTW where did you get it?
The phone line isn't run by Honor themselves. The rom came from Honor UK. It was given out to people unable to flash the MM beta.
Yes, the latest Xposed supports Huawei now without deodex.

on the Spanish website there is also another European firmware used without problems

No,because I'm using B151 for some time and I will change when they come out MM
I believe, however, that the Finnish and the UK are at the same firmware
while the Russian firmware it's different and creates problems
Honestly, I would expect all 'C432' ROMs to be the same, but all I know is a lot of people have been having problems!

eRecovery connects over WiFi to download a full rom image and reflash your phone completely to stock. Useful when you don't have a microSD card and cannot get the phone to boot into Android.

Well it needs a full update image to be available on the server, which currently isn't on the server. So it's pretty useless.

Shame you can't do a reboot into recovery2 with a command (e.g. adb reboot recovery2). That would be handy!

I have an error issue while unzipping the file. Donwloaded the file several times. Always an error.
Tried to unzip with various apps. Still an error. Is there another download server maybe? Or do you have any idea what went wrong?

For now, i still cannot get any update and i got a funny answer from Honor support.
They told me that i have to go to Serbia if i wants to update my honor since i bought it there last year.
But i lives in africa now lol.
So the only remaining solution is the local update when i will finally find the right procedure.

The right procedure would be
Make a backup of all your data, contacts, apps etc using Huawei hisuite.
Download the firmware you want to upgrade to and extract to get UPDATE.APP
Copy it to a folder named dload in your SD card and press and hold power, Vol up and Vol down until phone boots up. Let go of power after booting but keep other two pressed for five six sec more.
It will do a forced upgrade and you will lose all your stuff. Boot into Android, update Huawei backup app and restore your backup using hisuite and you are done.

sorry folks but after reviewing all my experience with MM (B380) i recommend to update with Lollipop B180 (B190 if available) only!
With B380 it is possible, that you will get some trouble with it! At the moment, B380 was removed from the support side of HONOR!
Maybe it has a reason!

Most of the users that i know (me included!), did not confirm that!
i own two Honor 7. I tried MM on one of them for four weeks. After this period, i have done a rollback to B190 Lollipop.
Since this moment, all my problems are gone! I could not believe, that HONOR will bring us an trouble-free version of MM.
Really strange that Huawei remains unable to deliver a clean Os. Such a big company with that quality of phones !

At least if u could access fastboot

i didn’t understand your friendly offer! I had used MM on my phone, so i was able to install MM on it! But i have get the same notification problem with "WhatsApp"
as the other users have reported here! And some of my apps have stopped their work during the night. I had protected these apps against termination in the energy manager, but it doesn't help! I think, it is a problem of the build in MM "deep sleep" functionality! And yes, i had made a factory reset in the beginning of my experiences.
But thx anyway!

Hi,
i've upgraded my Huawei Nova (european version, vodafone branded) to android 7.0 via official OTA update. Soon i realized that this version was bugged, so i decided to do a factory data reset, but after the phone rebooted an error like "impossible reset" came out and i could only press on "reboot system now". It looped on logo for a while and then the welcome page appared (like it was successfully restored).
After all the process of the first configuration, i got my device working but i realized that again something was wrong. The phone signal indicator keeps telling me i'm connected via 3G or 4G even if i switch off mobile data, themes app doesn't work and under Build number i have NRD90M test-keys; plus the updater app wont open.
I've tried some guide on this forum, specially the one that say to apply the patch "update_data_full_CAN-L01_hw_eu", but all the pakage i've tried gave me the same error "Software install failed" at 5% of the process of installation.
I don't reallt know what to do now to get the phone works properly. If anyone can help i'll really appreciate.

I try many methods and there is no hope.but maybe just maybe you can send your phone to local store to reflash it then try update again

I've resolved the "NRD90M test-keys" problem manually flashing an update for my Nova (CAN-L01C02) with the version B340 that i found with FirmwareFinder without rooting or unlocking the bootloader. I put the links if someone is interested.
First flash the big one http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1371/g79/v86683/f1/full/update.zip (at this point the "NRD90M test-keys" problem still here)
Then the small update http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1371/g79/v86683/f1/full/CAN-L01_vodafone_default/update_data_full_CAN-L01_vodafone_default.zip that will fix the "NRD90M test-keys" problem and all the other problems (theme app not working ecc.)
Now the phone works fine, except for the update app that still won't open, but it is not a big problem because you can still flash updates manually. :good:

im asking cuz,via the ''normal / official OTA way,few of us are having problems BUT...
if your upgrade comes from firmware finder (or else), you can be 98% shure to have problems (like theme manager)

Yes, at first i've updated via official OTA (the ''normal usual way'' to update) and i got all the problems described in the first post; then to resolve i've downloaded the firmware with firmware finder and flashed with the 3 buttons metod, and almost all is fixed now.

if it's not working is because you're flashing the wrong version of the update file, be sure to use the correct version (CAN-L01Cxxx) where xxx is the version you've installed in you device, then with "firmwarefinder" search the correct update file and flash it. This method have to work.

Yes.problem start when first time i look at my phone it's Can-L11c185 but none of updates work then i try c432 updates and it's work but now theme and update problems can't fix and try c185 updates and there is no chance to update

if now you're on C432 try to install this http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1371/g79/v85874/f1/full/CAN-L01_hw_eu/update_data_full_CAN-L01_hw_eu.zip always with the 3 button method. Extract the archive in "dload" folder on the root of your External microSD.

Update is working without errors and phone reset normally but still no fix.maybe problem happen first time that i flashed 432v update on 185v phone??

Ive tried a lot of things to have broken apps working again...even tried to install apps separately and always ended with... Corrupted files or bad app signature

From what i know, that number version only change which system apps you have installed by default (of brand ecc.) so i can't find a reason for that be a problem. Insted you have the dual sim version right? Maybe is because you have flashed the single sim version?

Try to flash this full firmware i've found with FirmwareFinder main update then flash the second part that should fix the NRD90M problem second part; for each update.zip, unzip and copy in DLOAD folder on root of your external microsd card, then reboot and press volume up + volume down + power button util huawei logo apper; then the update should start.

Hey. I have a similar problem. I have MLA-L12c636b130 updated to emui 5.0.1 anfroid 7 C636B300CUSTC636D003 and now i have build number NRD90M test-keys. Help pozhalusta restore normal work of the apparatus. I would like to roll back on 6, will there be a solution? And will there be a "rollback" for us ..?
