Double tap to lock is working fine, but double tap to unlock is not working properly.Sometimes it is responding and sometimes not responding. Glance View is also of same response.Sometimes working and soemtimes not working. My model is H818N dual sim and software version is V10F-IND-XX. Does anyone is facing the same issue?

working perfectly here..
And it must be working fine for both of you.
Cause there is logic for d2w and glance view.
If phone's upper part / proximity sensor is cover by finger or something, screen wont wake..
its logic for screen not wake in pockets.
Try it.
.
Yeh, I am on Same, H818N with 10f rooted.

my sensor is cover by a tempered glass.. my temperedglass has no cut for sensors.. is that causing this problem?
glance view....while your screen is off, touch the screen anywhere and drag finger and stop but dont lift your finger at the end. the top part of your screen will come on.

Hi,
I just received my Nexus 7 from Google and I am having trouble using landscape mode with Chrome.
1) I did drag down the notification shade and tick the screen lock. I also checked it under "Accessibility" in Settings. It still does not move to landscape mode when using Chrome. The same can be said with YouTube.
Anyway to fix this?
Swipe down from the top in Portrait mode, look for the rotation lock logo at the top center and click on it.

Sorry, I should have said it works fine for me.

I just thought jelly bean didn't do landscape. Thanks for this. I feel like a f'ing idiot. I'd clicked that, but it didn't do anything, so i just put it back. I guess I should read that nexus 7 guidebook thing I got...
I recently upgraded galaxy S5's OS to lollipop.
After that the red led of heart rate sensor turns on every time when I place my finger (in device wake-up status) upon it even if I'm not using S-health application to check my heart rate.
Is it a bug or something about background recording heart rate?
Now I'm worrying about the battery consumption of it.
Wondering the same.

It's in Context Menu of Google Fit
There's Activity detection setting in Google Fit App -> Settings -> Google Fit Data.
Turn it off and reboot your device.

It can be because some particle or your phone cover could be touching, clean the surface of sensor it should work fine.
if cleaning sensor is not solving the issue then do a hard reset

it happens to me also.whenever i take my phone out of my pocket, sometimes it will not recognise my fingerprint, then i manually unlock the phone with pattern and from the next time onwards it works with fingerprint. i think because of some dust it doesn't recognise the fingerprint.

Hello Community,
is it somehow able to unlock the phone with the fingerprint-scanner without activating the display with the home-button or the locking-button?
Greetings

Not on Samsung, but you can use an alternative.
Go to settings> accessibility> dexterity & interaction> easy screen turn on.
Switching on the option will allow you to unlock the phone while on table or on a surface just by waving your hand above it.
Note: if your phone is locked by fingerprint or passcode it just will lighten up the display. then you'll have to give the passcode or finger but it'll make you free to press any physical buttons.

By the way, on Galaxy S7/S7 Edge Nougat update, you'll be able to unlock phone by double tapping on any notification icon from Always on Display. but it'll lead you to that very specific app interface.
thanks.

I know it was possible on other xiaomi phones, but is it possible with Google's software?
Thanx.
If your phone already rooted you can edit build.prop to enable on screen navigation

On Google rom too, not only miui?
Good news, thanx. I don't have a phone, but I plan to buy it if that's possible .

you missed the question.
yes we can edit the build.prop to activate the navigation bar, but not everyone wants that black bar.
we just simply want to turn the capacitive button lights.
hope some day we figure it out :good:
Any news? It's the only point that stops me to buy this phone (I hate soft touch buttons, in this way they will be invisible).
We can enable the software keys but how to disable capacitive touch buttons on mi a1, i have already edited the generic keyboard file added # to comment those buttons but that doesnt work for this phone.. anyone here with the solution?

You can achieve it using GravityBox ( xposed module ). In GravityBox under 'Display Tweaks' click on 'Button backlight Modes' and select 'Disable button backlight'. You can even enable transparent navigation bar under 'Navigation bar' setting.
Slight side question but related... Is there any way to get the key backlights to stay on longer? (Without root)
I came from a Sony which were the other way around so would like to see them to learn the new order!
