Hi guys i just bought 32gb samsung evo plus (previously had evo)
So when i bought i want to see the speed difference between evo and evo plus, since used evo in same zf2, i can clearly judge..
Using a1 sd benchmark, My first test with interactive governor and cfq scheduler, with 4096 read ahead buffer size, sd read speed showed only around 30MBps and write speed is 32MBps..
My evo have same read speed and write speed is around 16 to 18MBps...
Then i thought what happens if i change scheduler...
So started with cfq, again but this time checked internal and ram too..

Tested with Resurrection remix rom,.. I rounded off values, all in MBps, also pics attached
I think cfq is having great values than others, and great balance in read and write , Especially the 124 Mbps in read is only achieved by cfq, others can't even able to reach 100,so i guess games, apps stored in apps works faster with cfq..
what you guys think?

So I have been reading in some post about partitioning your mirco SD card. I just wanted to know why people are doing this and what the benefit to the user is.
Bwahahahahahaha
that was not right, this is better

serious answer now
people partition thier cards into 3 for
fat32= for loading roms and standard storage
ext3 or 4= for apps2sd: where programs are stored and ran
linux_swap = for a swap file to increase ram
now has that answer your ?
cause two halves are better than a whole.

lol... but it still makes up the same crap whole lol.
Oh man... Anyone watch Man vs food? Dude ate a 7lb burrito with everything... talk about a "hole" lol..
Oh wait... Sd card? I thougth we were talking about tacos.
If you have flashed a new rom, but didnt know anythign about partitioning your sd card then you jumped to soon my friend.
i call bs when you say you have done some reading.
So a new guy who can't do a forum search can do a barrel roll.
Benefit for most people is it allows you to run your apps off your SD card giving you virtually unlimited amount of room for apps. Most of us also use a linux-swap partition which many of the roms use to speed things up.
Yeah the title is pretty much self explanatory.
Just post your Quadrant results and screens here.
Don't know what Quadrant is ? > Link

quadrant scores are pretty much pointless unless its done on an untouched device ...
if you have data2sd and all the other add-ons it just falsifys the reading of the actual score if your phones runs 100% smooth and fast and stable then why bother about it , when people who have high scores mainly have slow buggy phones but coz all the add-ons they have it mostly makes the score better
but for the question my untouched desire when i 1st got it was 1760 ish
and now with redux 1.1.0 with stock kernal with ulv 875volts @ 275 mhz its 2127
with class 2 8gb generic sd
it dont mean nothing tho as i said
fast stable clean over any top score
Quadrant score - 2027.
Running miui-xj gb 1. 3. 25 D2W honeycomb themed with class 10 16gb SD 1g ext 4. Runs fast as a mofo SD bought from shop on eBay for £18. Best 18 I ever spent coming from a class 2. Haha.

Excited just received in the new S7 edge in, I open the smart manager, found that in ram option, total 4GB ram but has 671MB reserved, and almost 65% already used, even end all, still almost 50% used, I don't know if this happen to everyone, if yes, is there any way to release that 671MB ?
The 671mb is probably for the graphics video RAM.
The reserved part is for system devices like the GPU. Worry less about the numbers and see if your apps and tabs remain open when multitasking.

Android will keep recently / frequently used apps in RAM so when you want to access them again they don't need to load from storage. That speeds things up. Linux (Android) isn't Windows, and having a bunch of free RAM doesn't accomplish anything except slow down multi-tasking.
Can you provide us with a screenshot, Thanks.

Hello equally angry and happy s7 edge users,
im facing some troubles with my s7 edge, i recently bought it from a second hand, when i first saw the phone i could notice it extremely slow so i decided to buy (i never lose a opportunity to break my head)
Phone was running on Latest November security update 8.0 Oreo
G935FXXS8ETK4_G935FUWT8ETCA_COB
Ultra slow to wake, almost impossible to use, freezes shows "system ui has stopped working"
yesterday after a few wipes and formats i installed
FloydQ_V6.0_Exynos8890
and MoRoKernel-AllInOne-CTK1-v8.6.1
to find the same mistake on android 10
SDcard change seems to help, but still fails at certain point, mostly on native ui windows
Write/read test shows the sequential speed with depression peaks to 200kb/s.
i dont know how to get rid of this trouble, ive tried a lot of things
hope someone can help, i will upload the logcat, Science!

Thanks to everyone F2FS system file seems to speed up the phone a little bit, i'm currently on Floyd V6.0 MoroKernel and MoroTWRP F2FSReady, still laggy at certain point but at least usable
What's the app you're using to test the speeds?

Cross-Platform Disk Tools Benchmark from play store
i thought those peaks were i/o faults, but i formated /data and /cache to f2fs and still remains.
Recently I have purchased both devices Strong Leap-S1 and Thomson THA100 , both are working fine, I have mounted external SD card on it.
I have noticed that if I run a ftp application on Thomson THA100 I can copy a movie to SD card of it.
However this is not possible on Leap-S1 , I can run ftp on it however I cant write anything on SD card on it. it shows Writing is denied.
May I know how to fix it?
Are you using the same microSD card on both devices? Or, if you are using different microSD cards in each device, are they both formatted the same way?
Is your build for the Strong different than the following:
Strong/HP4005/LAS:10/QTT5.200819.003/C2.0.6_20210317:user/release-keys
What about for the Thomson? Is the build date newer, older, or about the same as the Strong?
Strong licenses the Thomson name from Technicolor (S.A.), and the THA100 is identical to the Leap-S1, save for the color of the case and the remote style.
The firmware is very similar, although the bootloader for each is encrypted differently and there may be other slight differences. But if the build dates are close between the two, the operation of the firmware should be pretty much the same.

I have the same issue, without any solution yet. Is this an issue specific to the Leap S1 box or a general AndroidTV problem?
Same here, really annoyed about this fact. I like to copy movies/shows onto the device, hence I got a 64GB SD card and now I can't use it, but only have like 4GB space available. Why would such a blockade even be implemented?
