Recently I have purchased both devices Strong Leap-S1 and Thomson THA100 , both are working fine, I have mounted external SD card on it.
I have noticed that if I run a ftp application on Thomson THA100 I can copy a movie to SD card of it.
However this is not possible on Leap-S1 , I can run ftp on it however I cant write anything on SD card on it. it shows Writing is denied.
May I know how to fix it?
Are you using the same microSD card on both devices? Or, if you are using different microSD cards in each device, are they both formatted the same way?
Is your build for the Strong different than the following:
Strong/HP4005/LAS:10/QTT5.200819.003/C2.0.6_20210317:user/release-keys
What about for the Thomson? Is the build date newer, older, or about the same as the Strong?
Strong licenses the Thomson name from Technicolor (S.A.), and the THA100 is identical to the Leap-S1, save for the color of the case and the remote style.
The firmware is very similar, although the bootloader for each is encrypted differently and there may be other slight differences. But if the build dates are close between the two, the operation of the firmware should be pretty much the same.

I have the same issue, without any solution yet. Is this an issue specific to the Leap S1 box or a general AndroidTV problem?
Same here, really annoyed about this fact. I like to copy movies/shows onto the device, hence I got a 64GB SD card and now I can't use it, but only have like 4GB space available. Why would such a blockade even be implemented?

So I have been reading in some post about partitioning your mirco SD card. I just wanted to know why people are doing this and what the benefit to the user is.
Bwahahahahahaha
that was not right, this is better

fat32= for loading roms and standard storage
ext3 or 4= for apps2sd: where programs are stored and ran
linux_swap = for a swap file to increase ram

lol... but it still makes up the same crap whole lol.
Oh man... Anyone watch Man vs food? Dude ate a 7lb burrito with everything... talk about a "hole" lol..
Oh wait... Sd card? I thougth we were talking about tacos.
If you have flashed a new rom, but didnt know anythign about partitioning your sd card then you jumped to soon my friend.
i call bs when you say you have done some reading.
So a new guy who can't do a forum search can do a barrel roll.
Benefit for most people is it allows you to run your apps off your SD card giving you virtually unlimited amount of room for apps. Most of us also use a linux-swap partition which many of the roms use to speed things up.
Plugged my phone into my computer to grab some files today, and I found this.

Anyone have any idea what this is, or should I just go call an exorcist?
seems ur phone's sdcard or external sd card is infected.
there are two alternates::
1) scan ur memories with antivirus by connecting it with pc and after that reset ur phone)
or
2)format both ur memories.
Make reset of ur phone ( go to settings/privacy/factory reset)
Hopefuly ur problem ll be gone. Nd next time make sure to ask questions in question answers sub forum
or should I just go call an exorcist?

Only if he is good in formatting a SD card Because there is just 'something' corrupt...
Try to back up everything, (maybe trough your phone?)...
If that doesn't work try to do the error check (properties>hardware>scan voor errors)...
If that doesn't work you can format the disk (not quick!), and the problem should be solved
I should also mention that the SGS in question is Bell's i9000m... Maybe the internal SD is about to fail?
that definitely looks like a corrupted SD card
you can try to reformat it, and see how much longer it'll live until it dies completely
Aw damn, I forgot to knock on wood. Internal SD is dead again, second SGS. ):
I bought a 64gb SanDisk ultra xc for my note 3. I formatted it on the phone and it appears to be working fine except it's not storing pics and videos on the card and is storing them on the phones internal memory. Is there a setting to change that?
My other issue is that when I remove the card from my phone and input it into my laptop it is not recognized by laptop. It offers to format which I tried and once it formats it reads it as a 27gb card. I'd like to be able to add music from my laptop to the sd card directly. Is that possible?
Edit: I'm rooted with kingo but running the stock rom.

I have the same card. I did not format on the device. It reads it, but link2sd does not. I am looking for a solution as well.
I'm curious to know if this is card specific. I've never had these issues before with older sd cards.

So after some tinkering I got my card working. I have the same set up as Chillout. So I put the card in my wife's N3 and it read the card properly. So I decided to Oden back the stock firmware and the PIT reparations found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2576104. When I was done the card still wouldn't read. So, I decided to flash the stock firmware us in Kies. When it finished, the card read just fine. Next I rooted again with Kingo and all is well. I'm not saying that this is the answer, but I feel that somehow my partitions got fouled up. I have had this type of issues on other devices and found that a factory restore, while it is a bother, seems to work in a pinch for getting a clean slate. See the screen of my card using link2sd.

A still image allegedly taken from a OnePlus promotional video, supposedly shows a device that might be the next phone offered by the upstart manufacturer. The photo reveals a device that supports dual SIM cards and has a microSD slot.

If this is true (and it's a big if), I sure hope that dual SIM is an option since it would make developing custom ROMs nearly impossible.
wow...i have mixed emotions about the dual-sime setup...lol...if what you're saying about cooking for it is right, then this will definitely be a game changer...however, an sd card slot is a WIN....
They looks more like a transflash card slot, cause as you can see there is only one protection for SIM card and the two pits miss the SIM connections, usually located on the bottom and not on side as look from this pic, but for sure is a strange layout

The piece in the centre (in the red circle) is an sd card holster.

Whenever I take a picture, the lumia camera (or just the regular camera app) always says "Saving" on the screen and I can't get rid of the text in order to take another picture, even after restarting.
Here's a screen cap of what it looks like:

Has anyone encountered this problem and know how to get rid of it? Thanks.
P.S. If it makes a difference, this is a Lumia 1520 running latest Windows 10 preview.
Eventually I just ended up doing a soft reset.
If anyone else here is having this issue and is worried about the picture not being there, it still saved the picture for me. If you go to the location where all your pictures are saved (usually somewhere in a folder named camera roll) and find a ".jpg.tmp" file, this can be renamed to just ".jpg" and you are able to see the picture.
Hi!
Almost people will recomend you to reset your phone. ( Always reset for any problem, I hate it).
I solve this with just formating my SD Card and specifying a cluster size bigger than default.
I suspect that "Saving" on camera is only because occurs an write overload on SD card. So, by using a cluster size bigger than default (Default is 32Kb If I'm not mistaken) you can increase your SD Card I/O.
I use the exFAT filesystem, with 256Kb. I used my computer to format the SD. My SD Card is a Extreme 32Gb.
