Samsung galaxy S4 i9500 brick

Hi,
I have an international Samsung Galaxy S4 I9500, that is bricked after an error wihle updating from 4.2 to 4.3
I tried to flash an official 4.3 rom from odin, but no result
my phone stops on boot on the Samsung galaxy S4 screen, i can't access recovery mode, i can access only download mode ,
product name: gt-i9500
current binary: samsung official
system status : custom
waranty bit: 0
that's what the phone is displaying in download mode

that's just a soft brick...
If u have orignal bill and have not rooted the phone before,go to a Samsung care and have it fixed.
Dont mess with it anymore,u may trip Knox,resulting in warranty void
edit:wait,u have custom system status,download a 4.4.2 for ur region and flash it

i tried to flash stock I9500XXUEMJ8 4.3, and id didn't work, same result, no recovery mode, and phone blocked on the boot screen "samsung galaxy s4 gt i9500
i'm not sure this is the right firware, is there a way to find wich firmware to flash ?

check on sammobile,they have info on every fw released

I tried to flash a 4.2.2 fw downloaded from sammobile, failed at system.img
now my smartphone didn't turn on, didn't enter download mode,
it get's only on when i plug it to the pc usb and displays ""firmware upgrade encountred an issue, please select recovery mode in Kies & Try again"
the phone is always recognized by odin, so i tried to flash the 4.3 with repartition with a pit file, but failed on system.img,

Tried with odin 3.07 and 3.09, same result, failed at system.img

1. Uninstall completely the Samsung drivers.
2. Download and install THIS ones.
3. Try with other USB port to flash the firmware 4.4.2 again.

dosn't work (ps: there is only 4.3 for my region (Algeria))
also tried with these drivers on another computer, still doe'snt work, blocked on system.img
is that the end of my s4 ?

nb: the phone doesn't turn one when i press the power button, it displays this screen only when it's plugged to the pc via usb

1. Close Odin completely
2. Open Odin again
3. Untick Re-partition and tick Autoreboot
4. Dont use .PIT file
5. Flash again same firmware
6. We gona see how it works :fingers-crossed:

Did u wipe all before?
* EDIT: If the stock recovery dont work, flash a custom one in Downloade Mode by Odin for ur device. Wipe all there and flash the firmware in the way i was telling ya

if you mean by wipe , wipe cache, data, the phone wasn't able to enter recovery mode, so i didn't wipe
if you mean a nand erase while flashing, also i didn't it
but, the i flashed it with a 4.2 after trying a 4.3, that how i wasn't able to access download mode

I flashed CWM recovery successfully, and surprise, the phone turns on when i press the power button, but 2nd surprise, it blocks on a bootloop, and i can't access recovery mode ???
after that i flashed the stock firmware, and 3rd surprise, it passed, but the phone still blocked at a bootloop, and i can't access recovery
this phone is gonna make me crazy

I presume u can't get into recovery mode,right?
If u can enter download mode,use Odin again,flash 4.2.2 of another region,it may work...

just to be sure, the last firmware i'd flashed was a 4.3, may i flash a 4.2.2 of another region or a 4.3 of another region ?

are u worried abt ur warranty?
coz if u flashed stock 4.3 then knox was installed too ..
and with knox tripped, u loose ur warranty ..
If u don't care abt that, wipe clean everything then flash any rom, it will do fine..

i don't care about warranty, i flashed cwm recovery so the warranty is lost
you said that i must wipe clean everything, how to ? i haven't access to recovery mode !

[Q] boot failure, logo stuck.

Hey guys, i will go direct into topic
i have note 2 n7100
1- i made a factory reset from settings menu on phone then the mobile didn't load again (stuck into logo)
2- tried all recovery ROM with all methods and no luck.
3- Downloaded and installed official ROM from SAMMOBILE and the mobile loaded and worked.
4- Installed a custom ROM.
5- Made a wipe to go back for the official ROM again and starting from here everything went bad..
my mobile didn't accept any ROMS, recovery or anything.
just rebooted and stuck on Samsung logo
i tried many things for 3 days but no luck.
Please HELP.

i know that wiping from recovery mode might solve the problem ,, but i don't have access to recovery mode. i have access to download mode. and sure i tried MANY times to flash recovery roms with ODIN and no luck.

Which rom u r using nd which method ... Cwm 6.04. ???

CWM is a recovery and i said that all of recovery roms were failed.

probably you have enabled knox, just flash official firmware again

I did, the same one which worked before..
but it turned to the same result.

Have you tried booting into recovery and performing a full data wipe from there? Including (internal) SDCard?

There's no recovery enabled
i tried to flash (philz , twrp2 and cmw 2 ) none of them is booting.

So we know what bootloader you have, what does it say (in the top left) when you're in download mode?

So you're on a 4.3+ bootloader, I haven't looked into that much - I'm assuming you can downgrade and have a custom recovery, but I'm not sure on the procedure. (Although i imagine Knox Warranty is irreversible - not like that matters because you would simply say: "I've got know idea what that [KNOX] is" and "My phone must have come like that."
It would not be the first time someone has opened a phone to find the software in a peculiar state!)
Either way you should be able to install and 4.3 stock rom and get stock recovery back.
Perhaps it's your odin and OS setup. Try flashing a few different versions of recovery, on different PCs*, with different cables and different versions of odin. If that doesnt work try the same with different stock ROMs. It's what I'd try whilst seeking more expert advice.
*if on Win7 try running odin 'as Windows XP'

Thank you for your help, i am downloading a different stock ROM now.
but can you please tell me more about that downgrading thing?

I'm not too sure I'm afraid.
My objective, if I were you, get a custom recovery working and install Wamrick's NC3 - stock kernel will work for you as your bootloader is 4.3 and I don't think you can downgrade that due to Knox.

still.. i don't know how to make the Custom recovery work! as you see in the boot loader i tried to flash 12 times and nothing happened.

And you've tried flashing a full stock 4.3 rom from Sammobile right? Running odin as win XP (if on 7)

Bricked Samsung Galaxy S4 VE (GT-I9515)

Hi Guys,
A friend of mine brought me a Samsung S4 GT-I9515 to see if I could make it work again. He says that suddenly the phone just didn't boot, it just got stuck in Logo screen.
I've tried to enter the Hard Reset menu, but it only says "Recovery Booting..." and that's it.
I can access the Download mode, and with it, I've tried the following :
Using ODIN 3.10 > Flashed an official lollipop ROM
Flashed an official kitkat ROM
Using KIES > Used the recovery mode
In all cases the process finishes, but the phone never boots.

This seems to be quite a weird problem.
Try finding the .pit file for the I9515 and flash the PIT file with the firmware.
It may be hard though, since there's barely any support for the I9515.

Really ? What kind of hardware failure, any idea?

I had the same issue a few months back.
I solved it by flashing the .pit file and a custom recovery with advanced wipe options (went with TWRP).

Did you try the ecovery option in samsung kies 3?
once it helped me with a similar problem.
hope it can help

I don't ever recommend using the nand erase option.

SM-G900F trying to install cm 12.1

Hi Guys i have some Problem to install CM 12.1 on my sgs 5 (SM-G900F).
After much trying i think i have root access to my phone.
no i trying to install cm via the recovery mode from my sd.
But there cames the error = failed to verify whole-file signature
I read that there must a button to change that the signature check turn off, but in my recovery mode there is no point for that.
So i looked how i can update the recovery section but i dont know and i dont find something working for me.
Also my problem with rooting my device dont work with the 4.4.2 rom. I Found a rom called G900FXXU1BOB7_G900FDBT1BOB1_G900FXXU1BOB7_HOME.tar and with that the cf-auto-root-klte works on my phone.
My knox counter is now 0x1 but thats not so bad for me. I have no problem with that.

If you were on stock rom and just rooted with cf autoroot it sounds like you are still on stock recovery. I don't think its possible to flash cm via stock recovery.
I suggest to flash twrp2.870 recovery via odin...

what is the twrp2.870? and where can i download this?
i tried the cwm( i think clockwork mode?) but it doesnt support my phone.

I have done it i flashed the phil recovery module via odin and now it works.

INstall FUlly deknoxed rom or install stock rom via odin (in which deleted some files)

It happen because you have install custom recovery and kernal don't worry about.it happen with every grand 2 user who have knox enable bootloader got this message

i have deleted knoks my phone hv no where knoks even not any file knok named...... first of all after rooting i deleted this knokx useless thing..... have any idra why its still i dont hav knoks.... this is fine but its annoying there is no way to remove this also with cutsom rom...?

A littel knowledge have greate confusion
I will explain the file you deleted is knox apps not knox the knox is firmware with is already include in your bootloader or download mode (volume down+home key+power button) there you can se knox wirrten lik knox warranty voide(0x1) its knox and there is no way to remove knox from there

heyyyy i was tring to install twrp build 2 by mukul soni over cwm 6.0.5.1 using flashify app i installed the recovery.img file after boot into recovery i got stuck into download mode.... after that i went to. mobi repair shop they installed its orignal firmware and i went back to home and i again tried to install cwm recovery using flashify but it again make my phone soft brick only showing download mode... i again went to shop and i told him to just flash this recovery. tar file usind odin.... after install my phone got back booting again but there was no recovry when i try to put my device in recovery it put me in download mode..... i again told him to install cwm. tar file he did and i pull out the battry and i boot it into recovery... finaly it got recory back and i restored my nandroid backup..... and this time surprice is that there is no warning like kenel is seanoid enforcing like there is simle boting.... this time what would any one say why this happened..?
