Yes. its written in the link provide by AP.
Caution: Flashing a new system image deletes all user data. Be certain to first backup any personal data such as photos

Any idea if we have to use a custom kernel to root this version?

thanks i will look into it

Now the wait for the OTA images begins.

Fi support is saying only one version on M now too

Will this work for T-Mobile version Nexus 6?

What about LMY48T and W versions. Why they are out?

I'm gonna wait for root confirmation. I need it for my Google Authenticator and Battle.net apps (Titanium Backup restore).

i cant flash properly on my nexus 6. radio fails along with system image.
flashing manually does the same thing.

getting error on flash
Install bat starts out fine then stops on missing img file!
Anyone please help

I also am pumped for root. It makes life so easy with apps like that...
Hopefully Android M with the app data backup/restore will make root unnecessary going forward.

Supposedly Google has consolidated all Nexus 6 images into one, but users need to verify this. Meaning there will not be separate releases for FI and T-Mobile. Sounds like the FI support line is saying the same thing. Now T-Mobile is unknown.

It would be nice to not need root to be honest. At least for Nexus devices. If I go back to HTC or hell freezes and I go back to Samsung, its compulsory. I have amassed a ridiculous app collection over the years of Android and while the only apps I really care about are my two authenticators, its nice to have the others as well from time to time.

Yep project Fi now has native support in 6.0 so no need to have different version of Android.

Andoid 2.4 Soju

Hi Guys,
I got today a Nexus S and it has apperently a Developer Firmware.
It says :
Android - Version
2.4
Build-Number
soju-userdebug 2.4 GRI06B 88106 test-keys
In Fastboot Mode it says :
Lock State - Unlocked
Here´s my question, is it possible to root this Nexus without damage and putting a CM Rom on it?
Thanks for the help!
I don't know where you got your Nexus S at, but OpenSoju is a Rom here on XDA that is at version 0.2.4 right now. I think you phone may already be rooted so no harm in putting CM on it. Here's a link to the Soju Rom:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1080009
Definotely wouldnt flash anything yet. Dump system first? sure some other nexus users would love to get tgeir hands on that

Early 2.3.4 builds were labeled 2.4. He got an engineering build that's likely an early build of 2.3.4 - especially looking at the versioning. There was a thread on this a while back and someone at Google listed their email to contact about this (IMEI, location received from) so they could get you on a proper build as the engineering builds will never receive the OTA(s). I actually received one NIB from Best Buy Mobile on a swap from my original device back in December.

Exactly which radio is it?
I'm sure a lot of us would be very happy to get a system dump.
As for the question regarding being CM7-ready... Yes, sounds like it is. But give us a dump first! Please???
i´ve another stupid question.. did the dump and had already set up a few things like marketplace, google account , facebook etc.. is that stuff also contained in the dump .. because if yes i would have to do a factory reset and dump again
Update:
I love it to ask stupid questions and then figuring out by myself.. seems like i have to do anyway a full reset / factory reset , and make a backup
Gonna upload the image in a few minutes!
Lol. None of your info will be in the dump. You are fine.

LYZ28E (T-Mobile image) radio is MDM9625_104649.09.05.14R
LMY47D (Verizon OTA) radio is MDM9625_104446.01.02.98R
And the previous builds have even lower build numbers. Pretty sure the T-Mobile image/OTA radio is newer. Not that that makes it necessarily better, to be sure.
So this isn't specific to Tmobile? - Been waiting for this for AGES!!

I can only judge by the filename
LYZ28E: radio-shamu-d4.01-9625-05.14+fsg-9625-02.93
LMY47I: radio-shamu-d4.0-9625-02.95
LMY47E: radio-shamu-d4.0-9625-02.98 (This was the Verizon Build)
LMY47D: radio-shamu-d4.0-9625-02.95
While the LMY47x Builds have a radio image of 83.4MB, the LYZ28E Radio is "only" 65.9MB
Not sure whether something missing or new compression algorithm
I'm just wondering where the open international images are at. Isn't very nexus for a us carrier to get them first.

I was wondering the same thing since all Nexus are the same. I am guessing that WiFi calling only works for T-Mobile so any other prepaid carrier that tries to use WiFi calling won't work, and since Google doesn't want any confusion they release it for only Tmo
Since I've been using it I haven't even seen a WiFi calling option

Edit: So we actually tried this but Mofo didn't like the unrooted Lollipop image. We were able to upgrade and downgrade the things FirstEncounter was able to. Perhaps JulesJam's image would work.
After reflashing ComputerFreek's image my phone is 100% back to normal.
Someone is always willing lol, but in this case I sold my immediate backup phone so I'll be waiting. Thank you very much Matt for jumping in.
waiting to see if thermonuclear war breaks out or these two just get rooted lollipop. lol
I've been able to upgrade and downgrade boot, recovery, fsg, and modem. I haven't tested radio, but 5.1 works fine with the existing radio so far.
I'm currently uploading my modem.img that was patched with the OTA files (since it didn't come in the 5.1 image), along with the rest of the files needed to upgrade to 5.1.
EDIT: Images + instructions posted in this thread.
