Hey guys!
was wondering, the watch supports around 10 languages, sadly, hebrew isn't one of them.
Would it be possible to ADD a supported language (should just be a simple unicode/font thing, right?) or is it something only the company that makes the product can accomplish?
thank you!

No. It is based on an Mediatek chipset. And Mediatek doesn't release their sources. Without the sources you can't do anything.

I have noticed here in Australia that the Iphone can come with Lonely Planet translation software. Has anyone been able to come up with a Pocket PC compatible one that could go on our Diamond/Pro. I am writing it in here as the Iphone does share a couple of things with the Diamond/Pro although our Diamond/Pro to me and many of us are far superior to the Iphone. I believe language translation software would be a valuable contribution to our Pocket PC's. I have not come across any good translation programs and have found livingsoft or whatever its called and etaco to be not really very good. (Have never been able to get english-Thai translations on either my old TyTn II or my Touch Pro.) Lonely Planet has by memory up to 6000 phrases in it in many different toungues. With international roaming now more prominant and with more and more people travelling I think it would be a very valuable addition to those of us who only know the very basics of some languages and with JBlend on our phones it should not be too difficuld as a widget.

No Lonely Planet is a well known travel Guide which originates from Australia but has spread worlwide. They started up with Language translation Books and tapes (Audio Tapes) and now they have spread to mobile phone software which they have so far launched on Iphone (I know its on Aussie spec Iphones unsure if on other country spec yet) They have covered every English to Other language eg. english to French, English to Thai. It lso gives guides to overseas accomodation, restaurants etc. But the language idea would be tops as Overseas travel becomes more possible and with so many Phones/PDA's having ever increasing memory capacity it would be a very handy tool to have on ones Diamond or Pro.

Unfortunately you won't be able to do this very easily as Windows Mobile cannot just switch languages. You'll have to install an English ROM, which needs a pretty high level of technical skill (and I don't think the tools to do this are available yet).
Where in Taiwan are you planning to buy it? If it's from somewhere in Taipei's Guang Hua computer market, they *might* be able to install an english ROM for you, but it may also be too early for them to have the tools to do this yet.
Another option is if you happen to be going to Hong Kong, you can get the Touch HD in the Sincere Podium mobile phone market at Mong Kok, but they aren't particularly cheap (because they are all imported from Europe). The price will come down when the HD is officially launched in HK.

I've had experience with the chipset
I'm going to say, no this will not get official omni. I doubt you'd even get a stable 4.3. I'd like to say it can get this, but based on the past. I don't think it will
Sorry

If you've been to their IRC chat (at #omnirom in freenode) they plan to support legacy devices. However, it will take some time to get ARMv6 working.
You wouldn't care where I sent this message from.

So if they support Legacy device is there a chance from them to Support BRoadcom?

If the sources are there, it is likely, but don't take my word for it

There's a massive difference between "documented legacy device" and "undocumented nightmare". Broadcom falls quite firmly in the second category.
Same reason Rockchip is almost surely never to see support unless Rockchip changes their tune with regards to GPL violations, etc.
Hi guys you can bring AsteroidOs to the mt6572 processor based smartwatch?
AsteroidOS is a free and open-source smartwatch platform based on OpenEmbedded, libhybris and Qt5.
http://asteroidos.org/
https://github.com/AsteroidOS
Also the MTK6260A. This would be great for all the cheap Chinese smartwatches.
Does not make much sense as you don't get much apps for it?

Ever have any luck with this?
Trying to find a way to put a decent OS on one of these....
Hi all,
More and more Chinese smart watches and devices are appearing in Alibaba, which are based on the MT2503 SoC. I guess these are to replace those devices based on the MT2502 SoC, which I believe is now discontinued.
Did anyone come across some useful information as to how to develop software / firmwares for these devices? I got a MT2503 based device on Alibaba, and I would like to re-purpose it, by writing some embedded C code, flash it onto the MT2503 based device, and run it.
I have searched for info on MT2503 for quite a while, on Chinese, Russians and other sites, but to no avail. Mediatek do not provide any useful info on their site either.
Thanks in advance for any help or pointers provided.
Anyone with MT2503 development experience?
Nope, the only thing I met which is related to MTK2503 is this article. http://www.chinawatchs.com/mtk-2503-new-soc-the-upgrade-of-mtk2502/
Thanks Smith 001. Yes, I also came across this article lately. I have also seen quite a few devices based on 2503 on Alibaba, so wondering how these were developed.

Which one did you buy? Anything special?
I got a MT2503 based GPS/GPRS tracker off Alibaba. See attached picture.
What I am trying to do is repurpose the device to run my own firmware which I want to develop.
I am looking for info such as:
1. How to extract the current original firmware from the device
2. Development environment for MT2503 and tool chain to write new firmware and flash to the device
I think MT2503 is a MT6261 + a GPS chipset (MT333x) all in one SoC, so any MT6261 information will be applicable.
Any idea about these?
You can check the MTK 2502 development thread. I think how to make a backup for your watch is the same as the mtk 2502.
MTK 2503 is considered as the upgrade of MTK 2502, so I think mtk 2502 app or firmware development is available for MTK 2503.
Ok, thanks, will give it a go. If MT2503 is an upgrade to MT2502, do you know if a VXP running on MT2502 will also run on MT2503?

Although I don't have a MTK2503 watch, I think at least vxp face works in mtk 2503.
Mtk2503 watch faces
Hi everyone!
Recently I bought Lemfo F1 watch with MTK2503 CHIP.
It's a great piece of gadget for it's price.
So I wanted to load/install new watch face but without any success!
I tried with FunDo software and with Mediatek Smartdevice sortware. but all I get is error message "Install fail for internal error" all the time.
Do you have any idea what am I doing wrong?
Is there another sortware available to load VXP files?
Thank you very much in advance!
Sincerely,
Hrvoje
It is programmed via standard Arduino IDE with LinkIt ONE SDK installed via board manager. Search for LinkIt ONE SDK.
According to https://www.dr-lex.be/hardware/china_phone_flashing.html :
Caution: there is a new series of cheap smartwatches based on the MT626xDA. The āDā in the model number seems to signify that these chips are incapable of using more than 4MiB of ROM. To compensate for this, the ROM seems to be compressed, which makes these watches pretty much unhackable. The ROM can be downloaded, but looks like random junk. Do not buy these things, because they will still be full of bugs and there will be no possibility whatsoever to fix them.
