Galaxy Note 5 + Galaxy S6 Edge+ Hybrid - T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4 General

The Galaxy Note 4 for T-Mobile has yet to receive a hybrid port of the S6 Edge+ and the Note 5. I am willing to work with any developer to help bring this port similar to Sac23 Note 5 Ported V2 .1 10/2.
Are the chances of this being possible zero because of processor differences?

There is also a port for the N910F on other forum
but the lollipop international data fix does not work on 5.1.1.
Sac23 rom t-mobile port ran so smooth but the mobile data
issue was a killer. I flash that rom more than 10 times.
Still wish for a stable data fix.

I was recently farting around with the Sac 23 Rom for T-Mobile. I have the SM-N910W8 (Updated to 5.1.1) variant and have found a way to get data to work. With all the correct APN settings for telus of which i am with i will not get data unless i try to make a phone call. After which i will get full LTE 4G. Oddly enough however if i switch to wifi i will lose data when switching it off and will have to make another call to my voicemail in order for 4G to work again( Must be a bug). I dont know if youve ever tried this but it seems to work for me and i dont loose data until i toggle wifi. Also note i did not flash the data fix. I wanted to post this in the development thread however wasnt able to. Hope this can help some people like me who love the updated features and hard work that devs put into these roms!

Read on the sprint Note 5 port thread that they had a similar issue with the bluetooth pairing screen
not showing up and they fixed it changing the dpi.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63015035&postcount=224
May be worth a shot.

On the Note 5 port thread, they say that changing the dpi from 560 to 640 solves the issue of the Bluetooth pin screen. Other user confirms the find. https://goo.gl/photos/HDiqeRChSFHDdHjz7
Sadly looks like will not work for the S6 t-mobile port.
Already flashed the ROM and the dpi on the build.prop is already 640, so really don't know what else to try.

You guys could rather just flash a ported note 5 rom from international forum.

Do you think this can work on Sac23's port for the Note 5?

By the way, did anyone try Kyubi's Note 5 port? I tried it out with the INTL Data fix for the N910T and it was an alright experience. No where near compared as smooth as Sac23's port of the Note 5. It was a little laggy for me. I haven't tried out Dr. Ketan's port of the Note 5 / S6 Edge port. Apparently there's a newer version being released and it seems like the installation process isn't as straight forward as just flashing the ROM.

Not sure man, the data fix is for the international ports from Note 4 Snapdragon variants that are GSM/WCDMA/LTE
like our own.
On sac23's port there is the sprint CDMA wild card messing up data.
Running the light debloated version of kyubi's ROM
by Battlehero.
Agree on sac23's port being smoother but just for a little.
Going to try kyubi's ROM version 2 update.

I want an unlocked device, n7100? Or should i wait for n7105?

I definitely want an unlocked Note II. I'd like LTE, but is it really necessary? Not sure if it's worth paying for a higher priced data plan?
What are others thinking on this?
Well, LTE is along way off in my area. I just ordered the n7100 tonight. I'm not much if a data hog and figure HSPA+ is plenty fast enough. Honestly, I'd rather have faster updates than a chance to connect to LTE. The carriers in the US are so slow to roll out anything new. Different strokes for different folks though.

Well, both the N7100 and the N105 are both unlocked so you wouldn't have to worry about carriers either way..

Well, it's not out yet, so the ROMs here will not work on it. But, the name of this forum is 'Galaxy Note II' not 'N7100' so I assume that when the time comes, you will be able to find roms for the N7105 here.

Well, I have an N7105, and I flashed it using Odin and CWM both of which I got off this forum and it worked fine for me. Now I am just waiting for more people to get this phone so the Stock ROM can be released on this forum as well. I'd like the option to un-root it for warranty reasons. Anyways, the flashing definitely worked.

Attached are my AnTuTu benchmark test results. And, yes, mine is the LTE enabled version (SHV-E250L, N7105).
What is weird is that the top phone listed on the Bar Chart part of the AnTuTu test results is the Galaxy Note II but my test results, as you can see, came in 4 below - even below the Galaxy SIII. Anyone know any possible reasons why? Did I do the benchmark wrong? Should I have closed all my background apps and processes? I am really confused now...

Pretty good actually. With moderate to high usage (Netflix, Web searching, etc.) the Battery lasts me at around 8 - 10 hours. When it gets to about 15%, I usually just switch out the battery for the fully charged and included second battery. So far, I've never really had a problem with battery life.

Who is Waiting and going to use CyanogenMod?

Just wondering if you all are going to flash CM when they make it or another AOSP?
I know it will come soon especially since the Nexus 5 will have similar specs as with the 9005

I've owned Android since the good old days of the Google G1.
I don't think I've seen 1 version of CM that ran perfectly, no ROM was ever 'finished'.... so I'll be staying away from them from now on.
I'm actually probably NOT going to root my Note 3, can't see what I need to root it for tbh.

My first was the original galaxy i7500 but my cm experience was on the milestone 2 then g2x.
I really like cm when a device is no longer supported by their respective companies.
When I had the nexus 4, I used the latest cm 10.2 nightlies because to me the stock AOSP was lacking a few functions.
The note 3 has its own set of functions that I don't think we will ever see on CM.
However, would be very nice to have a dual booting system so I could flip flop between the two.

If the s4 has it, I am sure the note 3 900 will get it too.
One the biggest reasons for getting the 9005 was because I wanted to stick with a SOC that is easier for devs to work with.
Especially about a year from now when Sammy releases the note 5 and forgets about the note 3, we can at least update to the latest Android with CM

I usually run Paranoid Android on all my devices, but my experience with stock/rooted Note 3 so far has been fantastic, so I'm probably just going to run with things as is for the time being. Once PA releases I'll probably have to reevaluate though ;p

I kinda feel the same, I bought a few apps recently because it's not rooted. and these apps I'm happy to support because I use them on a daily baisis, like business calendar, poweramp, mx player etc. but I do find root useful for ntfs micro sdcard, especially when a file is bigger than 10GBs.
but what I really liked about a custom rom was editing minor things, having 8 icons along the screen horizontally. instead of what right now, 4? also all apps are HUGE dpi. I feel like when I load my mail. every mother fcker can read it from 5 metres away from me lol..
Ill Probably try it but wont stay with it. Lately on my s4 ive been preferring modded TW roms and will probably continue that with the N3

Not Cyano itself, but I'm waiting for an AOSP derivate, SlimBean.
I don't want to even see Samsung's bloatware ever again.
I'm done with rooting and adding ROMs. I've rooted just about every phone I've owned, and they've never ran 100%. Something always had an issue and not running properly. Today's phone are almost perfect anyway. The Note 3 is bad ass just the way it is! If I do anything to it, it's maybe using Themer to give it a fresh look, but that's it?

I have been pretty impressed with the performance of the GN3 even after rooting. I am also using the s-pen functionality a lot more than i anticipated. I doubt there is any need to go the CM route.
A little off point, but someone mentioned they hadnt rooted yet. I had gone a week without rooting and was fine, but i had to root for tethering (havent installed an app yet though). So far, i have also included quite a bit of additional apps for the Pen Window - VERY handy.
I just need a ROM that will allow tethering.

I have a question. By any chance do you have your WiFi network set up to use two SSIDs (one for the 2.4Ghz channel and one for the 5Ghz)? If so, are you able to see and connect to the 5Ghz channel? I'm not able to with the new update. It was working fine on 5.1.1, though.
How do we know it's connected to either 2.4ghz or 5ghz? I know old android phones let you choose which but I'm not sure how to do your test on the note edge.

Official update
I have an external SD card installed. I read that someone else was asked upon initial 6 install you could make it an extension of your internal memory or keep it as external.I was never given this option. I also get a notification upon reboot of a SD card installed and have to swype it away.
What are you guys exp re this. (Sprint Note edge)
Thanks!!
FYI i got mine OTA in Chicago

Cool, thanks for checking/replying. I have an FY version though, it might be a little different.

Actually I had this problem in 5.1.1 and after upgrading I don't see it anymore. I am not sure why your device is behaving this way. May be you can try a factory reset. One problem I do have is after every restart I am required to enter password as fingerprint process is not initialized. This is annoying at times. Overall experience is smooth otherwise.
And I flashed supersu 2.71. Works fine so far.
