I have a new samsung s5 from the UK (vodafone) and am now living back in the states. I have sprint service already with a sprint sim card (lg g3 phone). However i want to use the s5 on sprint. slapping the sim card into the s5 yields no help. So can i flash the s5 to the g900p?
I went to sprint store and they couldn't get the phone to work because it was missing the shorter IME number, not the full IMEI number thats behind the battery. Any help is greatly appreciated.
ive flashed phones before using odin so no worries there. just need some help/advice

I bought Samsung Galaxy s4 Gt-19500 with Android version 4.2.2 out of Canada. The phone is sim unlocked. My original plan was to get a plan back in Canada and use it there. I found out that it was compatible with Rogers, Fido, and all the carriers who have a band 2600. Wind, Mobilicity, and the cheaper carriers is 1700/2100 and my phone does not work with there sim cards. I searched online and found this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2291589 which is also with xda-developers but the download links on the bottom, downloaded 77zip which crashed the computer twice and also downloaded lots other programs with out permission. Is there any way to make it work with wind?
I don't need it to work with Rogers, Bell, Fido, or any other carrier after.
Much appreciated- Tyler
Hello i am sorry to tell you that the GT-i9500 does not have the chip needed to run on the wind net work (T-mobile in USA) the chip you would need is a qualcom chip the only international version that has that chi[ is the LTE variant of your phone GT-i9505 and no you cant swap chips nor can you flash a modem and get rid of that file that is crashing your PC if it does what it claims it does than its a lie and most likely a virus sorry for the bad news but my uncle had the same problem and thats why i have some experience with the phone i recommend you sell that one and buy the GT-i9505 or the T-Mobile SGH-M919 i personally have the T-Mobile version and no complaints just the bloatware but i flashed a rom and no more bloatware

So I got some S4's and some S5's that were originally from a Sprint MVNO called CBeyond. From the looks of it these devices are the same models sprint sold and have the same software and features.. yet I attempted activation with Ting and the setup keeps failing to complete the activation process.
I don't know whether these devices are programmed previously (like flashed) so they only work with CBeyond's Programming.. If that's the case I was wondering how I could get these back to factory condition.. meaning, make them able to activate with Sprint. I flashed stock firmware with Odin but that doesn't help.
I'm a noob here but I really could use the help. I have 4 L720 and 3 SM-G900P all previously active on CBeyond.. They came with Sprint SIM Cards that I used for my Ting Activation.
Thanks for the help!
Sorry beforehand if there is a thread on here about this but I bought a S7 edge on ebay and I thought I was getting the SM-G935U version. I got sent a SM-G935P but here's my problem... The G935P is the sprint version. It even starts the hands free activation all the time but I was trying to get it on tracfone but the sim card is invalid, so I called sprint and had them run the IMEI but they couldn't find it on their system... I ran the IMEI through IMEI info and it came back as as G930F Galaxy S7 (SM-G935P). Which when I google it, I found a thread here that says the G930F is an international unlocked version but the G935P is a sprint. My Question are, (1) what the hell do I have cuz I tried running the IMEI through all the carriers BYOP and all said not able to use. (2) If i have something useable what carrier can I use? Thanks for any help... edit I found that straight talk has the s7 edge on their network so could i get this working on it?
Just put your sim card in and flash the G935U firmware
Sounds like you got a sprint model that had a imei repair done to it
Hi
I just purchased a S6 edge+ SM-G928A which is I believe from the at&t network in the usa, I purchased it from
a electronics retailer on ebay, the phone works perfect and came with MM installed however I want
to upgrade to Nougat and the at&t software updater refuses to download which I believe is down to
me not having a at&t sim card, something that is impossible for me as I am from the UK and currently use the three network.
My questions are
is it possible to upgrade the firmware and if so can I flash the usa firmware or do I have to find one that is international or european?
I semi familiar with using odin and flashing etc so that part I dont really need help with, I just need advice on flashing the right rom .
could i for instance flash 3 uks firmware for this phone? or another uk provider.
any advice appreciated.
Hi guys,
First i need to say my android knowledge is less coz i am a guy who coming to android from iOS backyard. I recently bought a Samsung galaxy S7 in Singapore. I bought it from a generic shop(not from official Samsung shop)
Unfortunately I got to know from Samsung, this phone is a sim unlock phone which is originally belongs to Sprint USA. Currently It's running Android 6.0.1 and I can use my local Singapore sim. When I check the IMEI number from the web it says the model is "Galaxy S7 G930P". But within the phone settings it says the model number is "SM-G930F".
My question is, If i manually update to stock Android 7 by using Odin tool, will the phone is lock again? Help is highly appreciated
Thanks
It shouldn't. I've done a bunch of Odin flashes since having my 930P unlocked. The only thing that's ever re-locked my phone was inserting any Sprint-based SIM card.
