Can't set Live Wallpapers...

I think I've uninstalled live wallpaper stock app, I want it back for my x8 don't want to reflash , plz someone upload. thanx in advance...
you can download modded stock rom from development section and take the livewallpaper.apk then push it to /system/app/
don't forget to reboot your phone
thanks +1 , but how to extract the apk from that rom ?
just extract the ROM and there will be 3 folders (data,META-INF,system)
browse to system > app folder, there's a bunch of apk files
just take the LiveWallpaperPickers.apk then push it to your /system/app/ folder on your device
let me know if it solved your problem
well that's what I'm asking, how to extract the rom ?
just download the ROM that you're using (ex : update-GingerDX.v007.zip)
extract update-GingerDX.v007.zip isn't that simple?
i attach the apk from GingerDX.v7, try it and report if it works
thanx, but i'm using stock rom, And the file you gave me earlier is working fine, I had to push it to system/app
and then install it..
thanx
No need to install, just push it to /system/app/ and restart
So it solved your problem? Good to know
well i pushed it to system/app and restarted but no luck, then I had to install it...
i wonder how it can work in eclair
because it was v2.3.5
can u please provide the link to official android 2.1 update 1 , untouched ?
can't find it,
found it but it was made using xrecovery...
Ah,most of eclair ROM provided in development section is xrecovery backup file
I'll attach the apk from eclair when at home
may i know what version of eclair that you're running?
i'm on latest eclair 2.1 update 1
okay is there a way to extract things from xrecovery files ?
here's the apk from 2.1.1.C
thanx but the file u gave me earlier is working well.

Can someone do me a favor!

Please I really need someone with root and didn't deleted some files do this for me!
If you are not sure you are the person, do it anyway, maybe it can be useful!
Ok. Run the file attached (remember to unzip first) and see if there is 2 files on the folder (after you ran it!), the files are "recovery-from-boot.p" and "install-recovery.sh". If you found those files, please upload them to me, as I download it I give you thanks and mention you on my Thread LordAIOTool, I need the files to use on it!
Thanks
I'm not on Windows, but looking at your batch file, it looks like all you're doing is pulling /system/etc/install-recovery.sh and /system/recovery-from-boot.p, yes?
If that's the case, here's those two files from my MZ604.

Ok, thanks

FYI recovery-from-boot.p only works for a specific boot images (namely the stock one that is shipped from google).
If you try to use this file on any other boot image it will fail.
Keep up the good work, looking forward to your #10 AIO Tool! Hope you fixed the Mount SD card issue.

[Q]Delete XBass, Beats Audio and Bravia Engine?

How do I delete the above mods without having to restore to an older backup or flash a new ROM?
I am well versed with the android system and if you tell me to shell rm or delete using root explorer I can... Also I figured out that a few files were replaced while flashing these mods... so any help would be appreciated....
What u can do is unzip the files and see where they are being placed and then delete from root explorer. If any files are being replaced, unzip ur flashable rom and pull the original files and then place in directories, overwriting the modified fikes

S4 (i9505) and the program Android Commander

With my former rooted S2 I was perfectly able to connect it with my desktop and the program Android Commander recognised it. I used that software to transfer files to the root folders.
Now I have a stock-rooted S4, I wanted to use Android Commander again. But alas, it doesn't recognise my phone.
I don't have any clue as to what is causing Android Commander to not 'see' my S4.
I would like to know if anyone is able to use this software with their S4.
Or if anyone has an idea how to fix my problem.
Thanks.
+1, i need AC working too

You have to update the ADB counsel on bin folder
Steps:
1- Download View attachment bin.rar
2- Extract with replace to all 4 files on bin folder "C:\ProgramFiles\Android Commander\bin" or "C:\ProgramFiles (x86)\Android Commander\bin" if you have windows x64.
3- enjoy using Android Commander:good:
Note: either change the folder security to add permission for everyone to allow winrar to extract and replace the files directly or extract the rar file outside (i.e. desktop) and simply copy and replace the files.
If it help you, please hit thanks below:good:

Thankyou very much dear,,, its working fine after update bin folder...
This helped me with AC not recognizing the S4.
Anyway, how do you get it to obtain root access? On the Xperia I had to use an app called ADBD Insecure, but it doesn't seem to work on the S4.

Extract, modify and repack stock rom?

Hey!
I really want to make a custom rom, a heavily debloated stock rom. At this stage I am not thinking about adding customization or anything just debloat the stock rom as much as possible, recompile it, and flash it!
I've searched everywhere on how to do this but have not found any relevant information.
COULD SOMEONE PLEASE POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION?!?!?!
I have tried using sgs2toext4.jar to convert img.ex4 files from I9506 stock firmware and the mounting it in Linux Internals.
This does not work, as Internals does not show any files (0.00 bytes) even though the converted img.ext4.img file shows over 2.5gb in windows explorer.
How can I do this, what kind of tools do you DEVs use to extract, modify and finally repack it to a tar.md5 or flashable zip?
I am grateful for any response!
EDIT: Currently using windows 7 x64, I have access to a Linux/ubuntu if that is necessary. Also the device in question is I9506.
Regards,
mrd0pe
