Need: Tasker/Zooper Widget to close all recent apps. - Zooper Widget Templates

I cannot figure out how to close all Recent Apps automatically.
Hardware: Note 4
Android: 5.5.1
Launcher: Next 3D
To close the recent apps manually I hit the lower right button on my phone and then the lower left button.
I would like a button that does both and perhaps closes them automatically at say 11:30 PM.
I have been experimenting with Tasker and Zooper but I cannot figure it out.
The Next Launcher leaves all recent applications open for quick access. They just sit there and take up memory/power.
Thanks, CraigM

All messages> Back switches apps instead

I noticed a bug that allows you to switch to running apps that were left behind with the home button.
Prerequisites: HTC Messages widget on one of the main screens.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open an application (like 'people') and exit out with the home button, not the back button.
2. Repeat step one if you want to add other apps.
3. Go to the HTC messages widget and tap it to open a message.
4. Select menu option "All messages".
5. Press the 'back' button. This will switch to another app instead of close the messages.
6. Repeat step 5 to close the app and move to the next one.
Further notes:
Some apps will continue to show up even if you press 'back' on them to exit out.
For example, "People", "System settings" and browser never closes. Camera app does close, but you have to leave it by pressing 'home'.
Works on generic 1.5.

I didn't know that - it is not mentioned in the manual. Thanks for that useful tip. Looks like a useful shortcut back to where you were before.
But how do you close a programme rather than let it waste memory and battery in the background?

If android needs ram it will close apps as needed but you can always download a task manager from the marketplace, there are some good free ones, i suggest advanced task manager its what i use
It would be good to be able to actually get them to exit properly.
Especially so when you have 4 or 5 "All messages" apps that won't go.
The only use this bug has is to take you to apps that are actually running as opposed to your history.
It also takes you to screens that a task switcher can't do for you, like the last screen you see from your last phone call and the call history.

I don't see this as being a bug. The ability to be able to short cut to the 6 (I notice it is limited to 6) previously used apps by a long press on the home button is obviously something the designers have deliberately included. And to me it is a useful additional feature (now I have found it!).
It seems to be history rather than running apps you are looking at - I closed several of my running apps using Astro and yet they still subsequently appeared in the list.

[Q] can't launch apps

Running CM 7.1.0 on nook color with 1.3 ROM. I downloaded and installed App Brain market, Spare Parts, Nook Tweaks, and a couple of games (Bubble Breaker and Angry Birds). The matrix at the bottom center of the screen disappeared; I have rebooted multiple times.
There is now no way that I can find to get to the apps I downloaded -- I can see them with the app manager, but that won't let me launch them.
App Brain moved itself to the desktop(?), and I can launch it by tapping, but I cannot browse the apps. Where did I go wrong? Is App Brain a source to be avoided?
If I understand you correctly, this same thing baffled me upon my first run. You deleted the square box that opens the app drawer correct?
Long press empty area on home screen, and select launcher actions. Then select open/close app drawer. You can put it back in the dock by dragging it back to where it was when you first booted.
I was paranoid and a noob, so I made a spare for my home screen and kept it there for a week, until I realized I could just repeat that fix anytime I needed to.
Alternatively, you can program your swipe up or swipe down action to open/close your app deawer.
Thank you! I held on the background, selected Open/Close, and it showed up on the home screen. Then I dragged it to the bottom of the screen.
I don't know how I lost it, but it's wonderful to know how to put it back.

SHIELD 2.0.0 Confirmed Bugs.

I figure i should start a list of known bugs with the initial release of lollipop.
Confirmed: storing large amounts of app data on the SD card causes android OS excessive system activity. Launcher reloads extremely frequently, may or may not be a straight 5.0 bug. All the confirmed 5.0 bugs.
Issue, not necessarily bug: Full SHIELD power control menu is hidden, currently only a watered down menu is accessible.
I can verify that battery life is worse on 2.0 lte update... An the power control option is hidden and I believe wifi got weakened
Nova - add widget - shortcut - power control (or advanced power) - full power settings without the "easy mode"
Funny enough, battery life seems much better on 2.0.0 (WiFi US). My only gripe is occasionally if I kill an app I end up stuck on a screen that looks like recents (Google search buttons on the side) but there are no apps and lmt launcher force closes in there. I can bring up the search window and type... But noting happens, no apps can open.
ooooops wrong thread

5.0.1 Method of shutting down individual apps

Prior to the lollipop I could swipe left to right to close any minimised app. Now most won't allow that & I have to wait for 3-5 secs for an X to appear in the minimised app's top right corner & then click it to close it down. So far, one of my apps allows me to swipe, the rest (of those I've tried) won't allow it. Is their a way to turn this 'feature' off in Lollipop & go back to swiping? (Only interested in answers that pertain to a stock device - unrooted)

Solution for delay in app launching

Hi, we all know that one plus two is terrible in starting/opening apps, there is an annoying delay after the tap and the app launch. Such big is the delay that my good old Xperia M launches apps faster.
Well guess what, the problem is due to stock : OnePlus Laucher, change the launcher to any other, such as Nova and apps would launch the moment you tap on them.
note: Shelf will no longer be available on left screen , it's of no good use anyway. Still you can launch shelf by assigning a button shortcut (Under buttons settings).
Do hit thanks, if this helped
