Hey all,
I've been wondering if there is a way to change the default music player -
I'm using TuneWiki (awesome app) - but everything on the device (like, when I download songs and click the 'download complete') still opens the builtin music player...
Is there a way to change that, like you change the default browser or keyboard?
use the nemo player the best sub for subpar android music app
With Quickpic we have the option to hide pictures or folders that contains pictures and keeps them from being seen in Quickpic or other apps like the stock Gallery app.
My Questions is,
Is there such an app that does that but for music files?
For example:
I have a collection of Gospel music but I only play it using the Stock Music app. I play all my other music using Ubermusic and I would like to 'hide' or not let Ubermusic detect my Gospel music.
Another example:
I have this app called G Music Lite which downloads songs and streams it with lyrics. Only problem is, when I run its media scan, it detects ALL music files found in the device & microsd card, which means that even sound effects of games gets detected and easily gets mixed up with songs. I would like to somehow 'hide' or exclude this type of files from being detected by my music players.
Know any good app that can accomplish this?
This community rocks, and I'm so proud to be a part of it!
Anyone?

I haven't used Ubermusic but some apps will let you select specific folders for your library, like PowerAmp, if that helps.
For the other question, use the stock file browser to navigate to the folder with the problem files > Menu > "Exclude from media scan". It will affect any subfolders within that folder too.
I had a 'recent additions' auto playlist in the standard music app but it has disappeared. How can I restore it?
I don't think you can backup the playlist in the standard music player but you can do it with poweramp.

Click to collapse
Found the answer myself in the end. I restored the auto playlist for newly added tracks by going to the music player > settings > music menu > then enabled 'recently added'
I finally put some music on my external sd card and went to play it. Lo and behold I can't find the stock music app and when I try to open the file from a file manager app it just wants to upload it to box. What the hell am I missing here?
Just download Play Music or any other music app from the Play Store

I was planning on doing that but I guess I was just surprised because every other phone I've used has a stock music app.
Are there any apps that have notification controls and lock screen controls?
[PLAY MUSIC] is the stock music app.
Hi everyone, I like using the stock music app on the Oreo. One problem is that creating a playlist is an issue. I used to use the the Musicolet app where it would allow playlist to created by using folder option. I don't see that option on the stock music app. Any third party app that allows custom playlist to be used on the stock music app?
