I had a 'recent additions' auto playlist in the standard music app but it has disappeared. How can I restore it?
I don't think you can backup the playlist in the standard music player but you can do it with poweramp.

Found the answer myself in the end. I restored the auto playlist for newly added tracks by going to the music player > settings > music menu > then enabled 'recently added'

³ (cubed) player still sees it even though it was deleted with Samsung player. The playlist is empty if selected.

Rescan the media (or just turn off and on the phone)
This is mainly an issue with Bluetooth and plugging in headphones. For example....When I connect to my phone with Ford SYNC it automatically uses Samsung Music as the default player and starts to cycle through my saved ringtones. Very annoying as I have to physically open Google Play Music on the phone and start my selected playlist manually.
Is there any way around this? Play Music is the default player for all music types I have on the phone but that doesn't seem to matter either.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
Remove it using titanium back app but u need to root first.

That's the problem. If I root I lose Sky Go so not an option.
Most of the album art on the stock music app are fine but there's 4 I came across that have album covers that don't match with the music. They were there when I downloaded the song but I didn't care about them since I was using Poweramp but I wanted to switch to stock for the air gestures and adapt sound. Anyways... I tried transferring the 4 songs to my computer to edit the tags using an mp3 tag editor and transferred them back on my phone and it didn't work. I also tried deleting the songs from my phone and putting the album art-less songs back. The same artworks still remain. I also used a couple of tag editors from the play store. Still no luck. Any ideas how I can remove these annoying artwork from my music player? Thanks in advance!

I had the same problem. You need to force start android's media scanner. Unfortunately, you can't do that manually without an external app, like that one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.addz.mediascanner
If that doesn't work, go to app manager and clear "Media Storage" data, then run this app again.
So if you use the Swipe lockscreen there are options to use wake-up commands while the screen is on but locked. One of these is to play music. I was wondering if it were possible to change the music player to Google Play Music instead of the default Samsung Music player.

Have you tried disabling the stock music app and then seeing if it activates Play Music?

Yeah if I freeze the app and try the command it reboots the phone.
Bump. Anyone have any ideas about this?
