[Q] question before updating firmware!

hi,
im using this http://droidviews.com/2013/how-to-install-latest-official-firmware-on-samsung-galaxy-s4-all-models/
to udpate my s4 firm ware for app2sd and other stuff but
when i connect my phone to pc whit kies says CSC in THR that i read is iran!
andorid version 4.22 moddel number i9500
base band version I9500XXUAMDK
Build number JDQ39.I9500XXXUAMDK
can i sue this ?
and can i change my csc to get the firmware update?

I guess the easy way will be get the firmware from the link and flash it using Odin 3.07 it wont affect the warranty etc

the update is not avaible here in iran
when i go to about>>update i see no updates! thats why!

Yes i too saw that for u havent got an update yet u myte have to wait may be
And yes u can flash latest country firmware will work just make sure u its for I9500

Yes u can flash other country firmware and still use ur sim card without issue
And after flashing the firmware u can root the best method is CF-AUTO ROOT
And just to be safe take a backup of EFS folder

No thats the only option we get u ll have to use that only it does gve a good speed max it will take a 1.30 hour for download

No you won't be able to unroot for that also u need to put stock firmware and again reset the device from ur phone that will be complete stock without issue

Ya it has but mostly u ll still have custom on ur device status which will not allow u to have OTA

One more question... my phone is rooted... will i be able to take the update ? if yes root will dissapear ? if yes im not gonna update because to root Sp u have to flash a previous kernel & then the newer and the newer now is 245... there's not released 254 for root

if your on the previous update that is 2.245 and rooted than yes.. you can update.. otherwise you cant.. and ofcourse your root will disappear.. but in one or two day.. somebody will come up with a rooting technique.. you can root then..

This is the UK. yes with ODIN if you want the other you know KIES and OTA. No need root.
After should see the tutorial to flash with odin ... I just share them as you ask me the latest official version for g900f

How does Samsung firmware naming schemes go? I am finding it very difficult to find out which firmware is the latest one just by looking at their code. Mine is a 900I and the android build has last few letters/numbers as ANE3. However baseband is only ANE2. The kernel was also built in May 17th, so am i on the latest firmware?

yes I think we have located a region and the last date. we can not have all the ANE2 for G900 ***

first you need to subcribe to samfirmeware , there you can get any firmeware you desire.
just look for firmware en type you device number. and tou wil see the files to download and how with odin,:good::good:

yes al happen with odin . and you need only the firmware from sammobile.com/firmwares/ . the one you need for you country.
no need for any csc, because its al inside the firmware.

when you type you version phone, like n910f or c orwhat ever.
you clik it then you see your country and firmware that belong to.

I mean, the warranty is on the phone itself, not the operating system on the phone. it doesnt make sense to me that a warranty would expire because the phone upgraded itself.

No guarantees it will flash properly. It depends on the size of the hidden partition. I would wait for a debranded firmware like BTU or XEU.

Bro did u flash complete firmware or skipped CSC??
Can the firmware be flashed over 925I model?? Since the hardware is same I guess it shouldn't be a problem??

This morning I just received the 7 OTA on my device and is installing as we speak. It's aprox 200MB smaller than on the S7e (i'm on S6e).

For anyone interested.. I flashed this last night.. but it FAILED on hidden partition... had to emergency repair it. I'm using g925f in the UK on Vodafone..

I've installed it from Sammobile but it does not run saying "unauthorised"

Flash it with Odin. Why would you install TWRP for the purpose of updating to Nougat Official?
Does not make sense. Hence, good luck and happy flashing official OS 7.

No one can confirm for the moment.
But there are already reports saying that they flash TWRP and Magisk for root then installed Magisk Manager from Play Store.
