Hello,
As SailFish OS 2.0 is out now and normally (non-Android OS's) let you upgrade to the latest version OTA does this mean that if you have SailFish OS installed as per the guide does it automatically update to 2.0?
Basically I'm looking for an alternative, up to date OS for my aging LG Nexus 4 as with the release of Android M (pretty soon) support for it will stop.

I don't this you can since Sailfish OS is only compatible with Novathor Chipsets and is Meego based OS, and when the first port of Sailfish to any android device it will be able to port sailfish to other devices...
Would it be possible to port android 7 to the s6 edge+?
just saw the beta is out here
http://www.sammobile.com/2016/11/04/samsung-starts-android-nougat-beta-test-galaxy-s7-edge-uk/
The beta isn't out there, the beta tester app exists but it does nothing, only shows an error when opening. I doubt that porting an Android version that isn't released for this device is possible due to driver issues etc, until a beta comes out for this device, at least (example is the lack of any Samsung based ported ROMs over 4.4 Kitkat for the Galaxy S3, 4.4 was the last official version from Samsung for the S3, and porting 5.0+ ROMs isn't possible because of that). And it wouldn't be worth it anyway, because in a few weeks the beta will come to this device too :good:
Could we please have some devs working on Android Oreo for SM-T530 using the AOSP (like sub77 :good. It would be very nice to have the latest version of Android on tab 4 since the update isn't going to come out through a Samsung OTA. Me and the rest of the community that uses the tab 4 would be very happy if it came out .
will there ever be a majos os update officially in sm-t285? it is still stuck in android 5.1.1 lollipop when other A series tablets are already in higher android version . Even sm-t585 got official android 8.
So are we sm-t285 users gonna stuck in this lollipop rom for always? Won't it ever get any official update??
i want to say thanks to sir "jedld" for his awesome works of making custom roms (CM 13 and LineageOS 14.1) for this tablet sm-t285..?? i hope he sees this..?
Hello, Recently i heard that theres this version of android for entry/low end devices so I think its possible to make a port of android oreo go edition the Samsung galaxy tab 4 7.0 series.
Did anything ever come about from your endeavors? I have a T230NU and it's basically a paperweight without android 5.0 or higher.
