Hi there. I was note 3 owner untill i broke it. Now i own the N4. Sooo... my question is do i gonna trigger the knox if i flash stock FW with odin?
Noting important.. anywas this days im rooting my device, im just curious about that thing.
Ah.. and where can i found CMW Recovery?
Advance thx for cooperation.
Life is short, root your device!
Flashing stock rom with Odin won't trip Knox.
Installing CWM Recovery and/or rooting will.

Like @spexwood said, flashing stock official fimware with Odin won't trip Knox.
You can find CWM Advanced Edition here for the Snapdragron N910F, or here for the Exynos versions; but I suggest you to flash TWRP. Just find the right version for your device here.
If you need any help don't hesitate to create a new thread in the Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting section.

Hi all!
I've bought a new S4 (i9505) and fortunately I don't have knox on my device...
Now I'd like to install the last 4.3 GE and may be the CM 10.2 when in stable state.
My first question is: if I flash the recovery (CWM or ... ?) and then the GE and/or CM ROM the knox will not installed right? I'll only need Triangleaway app to reset counter?
Second: if I get trouble and I'll need to flash back to stock for warrenty, can I flash the actual stock ROM via kies and bypass the know problems?
Third: I saaw that there's not only one post for the GE ROM... where can I find the last standard GE release flashable via recovery?
Thanks!
You should read the forums more before you start doing anything. It will save you lots of trouble in the future. I know its a lot of information in this forum, but read read read before you start doing things to your expensive phone.
If you stay away from knox enabled stock roms, you will be fine. That is with stock roms that also flash bootloaders. My advice would be to stay away from flashing stock roms in general and look for a custom rom that suits your needs.
Don't use kies, but just use Odin if you want to get back to stock.

Thanks! I've really appreciate your help!
I've read a lot of posts but is not simple to understand all and/or read all the messages, so apollogise if me and someane else write down a new post hoping someone point us to right thread.
Well... I've understood that ODIN is my friend and I'm downloading from sammobile my current stock ROM without knox so I'll be able to reflash stock ROM if necessary keeping my S4 far from knox.
Now.... someone con point me to the last 4.3 GE ROM because I still can't understand wich is the cleanest (similar to the real GE) and stable ROM to flash...
Thanks guys!
Hi,
As I'm new to samsung devices - but not to flashing custom ROMs - I need to ask you guys a couple of questions before i start flashing away!
I'm currently on N9005 NB7 4.4.2 KK - Stock. I'm very confused by the different FW versions that are out there - my version info shows the following:
AP: ...XXUENB7
CP: ...XXUENB1
CSC: ..DBTENB2
do i need to upgrade these in some way before flashing a ROM that is labeled as NC2? - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2613305
If no - would i just go ahaed and CF Root my N3 with Odin, install CWM with Odin, do a EFS Backup, Titanium backup all my stuff, then flash away?
I don't really care about KNOX, I'm coming from the ONE X so I'm familiar with the concept of not having warranty...
Thanks guys,
Alex

Yea would have done it that way. Thanks!
If you don't f care about root you should be able to flash the latest stock rom over yours with PC ODIN. Just be aware that some carrier roms seem to need a pit file...
[redacted] question was in regards to ATT variant. Please kindly remove thread

hello everyone! today I just got my Note 3 N900a. with 4.4.2 KK today.I would like to root but I don't really know where to start as I don't want to brick this device. my G Pro is rooted and custom flashed but this is my first time dealing with Knox. so I have a few questions before I dive in:
1. Will Kingo root my Note 3 and not trip knox or UVDLV work better?..what about CF-Autoroot?.I heard sammy caught on so it might not work..but I saw that it will work but still trip knox? i'm rather confused here.. My AP is N900AUCUCNC2.
2. IF I DO GET ROOT PRIVILEGES. I know that I can't flash a custom recovery and there is an ongoing bounty to unlock the bootloader. So is it safe to use safetrap and will it affect knox? Or will safestrap remove my Recovery? (On my old S4 I did the mistake of Goomanagering a recovery and wiped my stock recovery but It still worked fine haha..just couldn't update or it would go into ODIN loop..which I could get out of) I will probably want to flash a custom de-bloated KK TW ROM if I do get the chance. I used safestrap on my old Razr M but is it different now? I sound like a total idiot right now but before the Note 3 I pretty much am a confident android power user but what scares me is that while I was using my G Pro, my friend from work had a Note 3 and he bricked it and now he's stuck using his Note 2. I don't want to make a critical mistake. If a more experienced user could guide me and show me what my options are or what I have to work with I would love you forever! XD

Best answer I can give you is to check in HERE at the ATT Note 3 forum and ask, since this is the international forum for the N900/N9005 we have limited to no knowledge of other models.
oh schitt.....can someone delete this thread..my apologies
Hi all,
A few months ago I put CM11 onto my i9505 using the Cyanogenmod Installer. I am due an upgrade on Thursday and am looking to sell my S4, but before I do i'd like to ideally return it back to standard firmware. When looking into this I read about the Knox fuse, and it turns out I tripped it, it's reading 0x1.
I'm running CM11 4.4.4 at the moment. Can I still flash the O2U 4.4.2 firmware via odin with the relevant PDA and CSC? If so, and it'll work fine, what are the future implications? I've read a few things and i'm a bit confused on the matter. I know I can't revert the blown Knox fuse.
I've downloaded this and Odin. http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/26795/I9505XXUFNB9_I9505O2UFNA2_O2U/
I have experience with custom ROMs and Odin but haven't tinkered for a long time, last phone I flashed (bar putting CM11 on this) was an S2.
Thanks in advance,
Matt.
Jup just flash. No future implications. Just that Knox is tripped, that's all.
Great, thanks!
Should I just literally flash that package i've downloaded from CM11 4.4.4 rooted, or do I need to do anything first?
I've backed up my important data from the internal memory.
Always perform a full wipe from the custom recovery before flashing.
Thanks for the advice. All back to stock and ready to sell... just as easy as it was on the S2 all those years ago! Thanks again
Hi,
My cousin owns a Galaxy s4 i9505 LTE and he wanted to root it. Since i was using custom rom on my S3 i9300, He asked me to root his phone and i told him that the knox security will mess things up. Anyway i rooted it with CF Autoroot and root was successful but the phone started restaring periodically and he wanted me to restore it back to stock rom (Unroot). He bought it from UAE and the build version was I9505XXUGNH8. Since we didn't find any firmware for UAE from sammy site, he searched the google and found a link (samfirmware) and downloaded the firmware. Then i flashed it via odin. All is good.
Now he want to root it again but the SElinux status says Enforced. Tried towel root, kingoroot and other stuffs.. No hope. The Knox says 0x0 and knox void is 0x1. Android version is 4.4.2. please help me to root this phone.
Thanks in advance...
Use cf auto root. It's the only root method that works.
Afterwards make sure to delete everything knox related. There are plenty of guides out here that tell what to delete.
Thanks for the help.. and if you don't mind, can you please tell me where to find those threads about deleting knoz files and what should i do to get a custom recovery in i9505?????
