Stock lollipop ROM? I didn't notice any difference. LG camera app does a better job than google camera though, which can't seem to do 60fps.

Good camera app for Find5

Hi all.
I'm searching a good camera app for find 5. I'm on X909EN_13_130719 firmware, the latest stock ROM and using the stock camera app.
Can someone suggest me a good camera app for Find 5?
Thanks in advance,
Fabrizio
I'm a fan of stock cameras myself.. Focal for CM is quite a nice camera app if your running AOSP but still in beta and incompatible with stock firmware.

Which ones have you tried? I used one awhile back called Vignette . There's also the photosphere camera app floating around. If you just search 4.2 camera you'll find it! Good luck.

STOCK camera apk?

can someone with the ATT version or the stock international version post the camera.apk they use? i want to see if it's any better than the one that comes with the verizon version. i know they look different, but i'm really disappointed with how videos come out on this thing, and i'm starting to wonder if it's the APK itself or if the sensor/camera just suck on this phone.
Videos don't seem to focus very quickly and aren't of exceptional quality but they aren't bad by any stretch of the imagination with the art version. Regular pictures come out good but not great as well. Focusing is slow and the live display is really laggy.

This is a well known problem with Defy after CM9. It is due to the locked bootloader and old camera libs.

The camera problem exists for CM9 and above. The camera quality will be best in gingerbread based ROMs.

One more thing. Video recording, too, has noticeable decrease in quality along with decrease in frame rate. But it's quite okay to use. A 720p patch is also available for stock GB based ROMs and lately in CM10 and above too, but the quality is the best in GB ROMs.

if any app is quite better to take good pictures in CM10

4.2 Camera OR 4.4 Camera?

As for my perspective, when I managed to switch into 4.4 Kitkat OS via OTA download of LG, I would say I am satisfied with the quality of 4.2 Jelly Bean OS version than the 4.4 Kitkat OS. I don't have a clue but did LG have changed something with the settings or quality of the camera in Kitkat version? Please Let me know

i have same problem with camera after 4.4 update :S
You have issues with camera after update to KK? Interesting, i'm on ls980, and the kk update improved camera 100 times better. I have Parkinson's so the ois was a feature I looked. Kk camera takes great pictures now, where it took forever to focus before and quick click of the shutter would give junky pictures before.

No I did not. I'm afraid to.
camera is fine in main app, but using video calling with wechat and hangouts and tango is very very bad, this wasn't the case before the update? what do i do here , i didn't root the phone, stock everything stock
We have to report it on LG since some of the owners of G2 are fret to do such rooting right?!

that's rooting in process.. I'm afraid doing that again.
Ah, yes, so it is... well, that is the only thing I could suggest. I will soon get 2 D802 units, one for me and one for my girlfriend. I am not too bothered with the camera but my girlfriend is very fussy about it. So I will attempt this update on hers and see how her camera performs vs mine and let u know
Would that be possible to root your phone just for the camera app?

If I only knew.... Hordor... Hordor.. Hordor
Well, you could try asking xdabbeb, but I believe he's tried it before. There is however, a stock camera apk which works very well with AOSP.
I too look forward to seeing the G3 cam ported to AOSP. One of the major things I miss from those roms
+1 searching for the G3 camera app...
The particular feature I am after (maybe someone knows another way to get it?) is the result you get in the gallery, so to speak, from using burst mode. The G3 cam and gallery app have each set of burst photos clumped together almost like a little short slide show. It allows you to select and save the ones that you would like to keep and easily discard the rest.
Any ideas?

i wasn't overly impressed with it. Focal Beta on the app store is probably one of the better ones right now
