What is the best Ad Block for Rooted Pure? - X Style (Pure) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've been trying to find an Adblock for my Moto X Pure that blocks internet and youtube ad. What is the best one? I searched and it said Adaway was the best, but youtube still comes up with ads

Motorola RAZR System APP Dump <Link Inside>

http://www.hightechdaily.co.uk/2011...droid-razr-system-dump-available-to-grab-now/
check out the file here, might be of some use to the developers. There are some new proprietary Motorola applications like a built-in tasker type application which could be useful to be integrated into some ROM's.
Didn't want to post this in the development section.
yep im totally amazed by that tasker like app, hardly can believe motorola did that and ye would be a geat feature if its possible to be integrated into custom roms for the atrix
broken link?
sorry dont know how that happened. fixed the link.

XDA banner ads

Maybe it just means my PC ad blocker is working, but the XDA forum on my PC is great. No ads.
On my Android cell phone, however, banner ads and inline ads make this forum pretty much unusable. Stock browser.
Half the time when the banner ad refreshes, the forum scrolls back to the top, so there I am clicking like crazy, trying to scroll down. And if I ever accidentally click one of those ads - heaven help me trying to get back to the forum. Those suckers don't let go.
Talk about killing the goose that laid the golden egg...
Why not try the XDA Android app or Tapatalk? I find both of those options much better than trying to browse the forums via any browser.
Q&A, by the way.
What does this have to do with the Nexus 7? It shouldn't be in this forum at all.
Well it is this particular forum that is unreadable...
Im assuming this is a question on how to get rid of ads or what do to... so Im moving this to the Q&A forum.
Also, try an ad blocker solution for your phone... or try Google Chrome and see if it still happens... or try the XDA app.

Galaxy Tab 10.1 NOOB!

Hello,
I bought a Galaxy Tab GT-P7510 (Android 3.1) because I thought I was getting a good deal and not going to pay Mac prices...
Also, I like Google and their direction.
Hoping for a bit of help.
Here we go:
1) I have a Nokia N8 (yes, still a fan) which only produces Ad Hoc Networks which I was hoping to tether my Tab to. But Android does not support.
Found a site which helps and is quite clear. //androidtablethacks.com/android-tablet-hacks/how-to-enable-adhoc-wifi-on-android-tablets
of course my device is not rooted.
Looked on the app store for rooting programs - could find none for this tablet - anyone know of one I can use?? z4root did not show up in my market. Guess it does not work on the tablet?
2) Tried to install Samsung App right out of the box - it downloads but tells me install failed....Tab setting set to Allow installation of non-Market apps. I could not find in the Market. Help?
3) Why can't I find the - {minus sign}?
4) Am I able to download a Market app to my computer - then drop it on my Tablet and 'execute' it?
Ok, I expect to take my share of NOOB flak. Apologies in advance. Hope to get smart enough to eventually help some other people....
Thanks!
PS how many of you get the Captcha on the first go?
V
My friend...no one post can give you everything you need. You have MUCH reading to do...just letting you know in advance. If people just answered questions like yours you would not learn anything...and that's not me being rude, that is the honest truth.
You will find all the information you need to root your tablet on this forum. Check the Q&A and Dev sections for easy to follow guides for your wifi tab. READ VERY CAREFULLY AND DO NOT DO ANYTHING UNTIL YOU ARE POSITIVE YOU HAVE IT RIGHT. The questions you are asking have been asked six bazillion times in this forum...don't think your questions are unique. That's rule #1.
Once you are rooted there are lots of tether options and yes you can write apks (apps) from your computer directly to your tab and install. That's what that Unknown Sources thing does.
Be persistent and patient at the same time...and another piece of advice....most that read a subject line like yours will not even open your post.
Good luck to you! Come back to this thread in a month, bump it and let us know where you're at!
Are you sure you have a Galaxy Tab? It comes with the Market (now called Google Play) installed already. As as far as rooting goes, do a search. There are several helpful guides posted.
The minus sign is on the keyboard next to the plus sign.
CAPTCHA is normal-all new members have to deal with it for their first couple of dozen posts.
Applications>Security is where you'll find the Allow installation of non-market apps check box. That said, the Samsung app store sucks.
Read your user manual and all the helpful stickies here. Tons of useful info to be found!

Imminent Update to 5.0

of course you're the first who found it
Who the hell gives THANKS to the original post? That only increases the ammount of Lollipop threads just to receive THANKS for things that we all already know.. Such a shame to see another L thread. Anyway we can continue here guys, a temporal site for L talking, unless some guy posting frog memes gets to close that thread too.
