Keyboard lag anyone? - Galaxy S6 Edge+ Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I would say this device is mostly lag free, but the keyboard, and any other keyboard, seems to lag quite a bit on it. It's slow to show suggested words, the letter pop-ups are delayed and often hang for several touches after, and it just feels overall sluggish. Anyone else experienced this? I have reset it once already.

I'm also experiencing keyboard lag, when I want to type something it needs about 5 seconds sometimes when i'm texting someone, also when I try to switch to emoji it lags
Any fixes yet?

[Q] Screen Jittering When Scrolling

Hi. I've recently noticed more screen jittering and periodic flickers when I'm scrolling. I tend to keep my thumb on the screen and slowly scroll when I'm reading. The problem isn't as bad if I just tap quickly to scroll, but if I do it slowly, text is shaky or almost shimmering.
Anybody else get this effect when scrolling? Opinions on whether this sounds hardware or software related?

Thanks.
depends if you are talking about the home screen or in applications...regardless it is a software issue.
You didn't mention if you have a microsd card installed and how full it is.
Secondly, this is known to happen immediately after reset, and is somewhat normal.
Background apps might also affect performance.

Does the home button lag?

I've used the AT&T GSII and remember that there was a little lag from when I press the home button to when it would actually take me home. There was alot of people on the forum that experimented the same thing, but there was eventually a fix for it.
Even though I haven't seen anyone reporting that issue in the Note's forum, does anyone here that owns the device experience the lag?
No, there is no lag on the device at all, silky smooth.
I'm the owner of one and it's buttery smooth, just watch out for apps that could cause lag or instability.
Users complaining about lag/slowdowns is usually down to a bad app.
Yes, sometimes there's a 1-2 sec delay, usually when the phone's been in deep sleep for a while. No different from the SGS2 and doesn't bother me anyways.
No doubt someone will introduce the same delay fix (which boils down to disabling double-tap Home for Voice Talk).

Yes. Same home screen delay exists. It's probably due to voice commands app. After you press the home button, it waits to check whether you press it again to launch the app. Only when it doesn't receive the second press in the given time frame, it takes you home.
That said, I guess they have reduced the time delay permissible between two taps, so it doesn't delay as much as the sgsii.
I've noticed this...
That bothered me on the GSII and somewhat bothers me on the Note. Anybody have a link for the discussion on fixing it on the GSII?

GT-I9500 Bug - Lock-screen appears for a split second

Hello everyone,
I've been having this problem ever since I bought my phone 6 weeks ago.
I'm currently running XXUBMEA rooted stock ROM. And I've had this bug even before updating.
I searched the forums here but couldn't find anyone complaining about it, although I know a friend or mine who has the phone and is also facing it.
Sometimes the Lock-screen appears for a split second, during that, the brightness also goes to max. If it happens while I'm typing somewhere, the keyboard disappears, and I have to tap on the text box to make it appear again.
Also, sometimes it happens when I'm playing a game in landscape mode, the screen rotates to portrait just less than a second, and returns to normal.
It's very annoying, it happens to me daily, I'd say about 5-7 times.
Anyone else facing this?

Lag and Random screen flashing.

Lately my girlfriend has been having issues with her GS7 edge, she has the screen timeout for 1 minute yet the screen turns off randomly when she's scrolling or texting or just about anything.
Also when she has her phone face down laying on her she notices the screen flashes blue.
And just the lag on the phone, she tells me when she's messaging a lot her phone lags. When she unlocks her phone weather its using her fingerprint or the pattern to unlock it. So I suggested her waiting for a minute before she answers back and it does improve it but is that something she's going to have to do for now on or is there something to fix these things.... I know it's touch wiz and there is always lag when you are dealing with it but I don't really know since I've always used Nexus devices.

OP5 system update now touchscreen issues

I only got the phone today but noticed there was a system update as soon as I got to the home screen after setting it up, now can't help but feel there's some jittery touch latency issues at random, hard to explain but depending on what your scrolling on sometimes screen lag, hardly noticeable I have a good eye for it, anyone else notice this ?
