Okay so i unrooted and relocked the device and the problem remains, but if i turn off the wifi in settings just for a sec and turn it on again the device gains connectivity. has anybody experenced this on there nexus 7 before... ??? any help advice would be greatly appreciated thanking in advance...
Do you have other devices connecting successfully to your wifi? I had a similar problem and it turned out my router's wifi was failing. A new router fixed it.
Someone please help me out of this ! Have been trying to correct it for a while! Nothing seems to work out for me. Thought of posting it on XDA. I hope u guys help me asap... \\\\first time on XDA/////
So the problem is: I have an android phone MOTOROLA FIRE XT530. I have got wifi , belkin router in my home , which i use to connect my laptop and cell phone to browse on internet! There is no problem in browsing from laptop indicating there is no problem with my wifi settings or anythng related to wifi!
BUT, on my phone, when i turn wifi 'ON' , the wifi works for 2-3 minutes then it automatically disconnects and then instantly reconnects itself! I dont really have problem with this thng but the other day i was upgrading my swype to swype beta and had to download this application but the app is too large sized that in the middle of the downloading my wifi went off thereby stopping the download(n sadly its non resumable). I am a huge fan of swype and have been using it for quite a while now. I want it upgraded at any cost!
I know this wifi turn on/off problem is faced by many but this is quite a headache nw! I have come to know about 'POWER SAVING MODE' n stuff, but sadly i can't even get to that menu coz i dont know how to!
Someone plz plz plz , help me as i am stuck with it from a long tym nw! anticipating early n useful replys :fingers-crossed:

Open app drawer>>Settings>>Wireless and Network>>Wi-Fi settings>>(now tap first soft key to see options)>>select advanced.
Now just tap on Wi-Fi sleep than tap on "Never"
Actually as the screen turns off wifi too turns off with that.
Hope it fixes your issue.

Try data reset. If that doesn't work, the issue is with router.

Sometimes I too have similar problem with my xperia. But the problem disappear after rebooting the phone and/or router.
I think it related to your phone's uptime. As the more the uptime, the memory tends to be fragmented and it has impact to wifi drivers (?).
it happens regardless of the never option

I think the issue is with wireless N and if you have a belking router it may be an issue ...dumb ur router down to only b/g and this should change the outcome

Guys hang on looks like a found a solution to this crap.
I carefully observed what happened when my wifi turned off automatically. My phone flashed a message "Get IP address fail, please check wifi password or wifi app status"..
I thought of making my wifi setting from dynamic to static. I used "ipconfig/all" in my cmd to get the details for setting up static ip. i rebooted both my phone and router. And bang!!! It has not been showing the problem now.! I've been using it for 10 minutes now at a stretch ( for the first time).. Am happy and hope that it doesnt recur. Will let u guys know , if the prob comes back!

Hi folks,
my device is sometime unexpectedly rebooting, this happens like once every month, so it's not very often. Still it's annoying me. So after it reboots, it wants to send me an email with a bugreport. I looked at it but it doesn't say much to me. Hopefully someone can help me with this?
I also have a bigger issue with my home wifi, I can't connect to it with my Nexus, mobile phone is working fine though. I think the corresponding line here is: "wpa_supplicant: wlan0: CTRL-EVENT-ASSOC-REJECT". This is really a problem because the tablet is kinda useless to me without network connectivity at all. I've worked around by setting up another Acess Point with openWRT, acting as client bridge to the main wifi network. The Device is Nexus 7 8GB with Android 4.2 if it helps. Sorry for my bad english & thanks in advance.
regards Tou
rebooting around once a month?
first how can you notice that,
second its normal... yes... no device is perfect...
with your Wifi, i had the same problem, but with my PC,
i cant connect at all!
its in the WIfi Settings,
Tweak with your router settings, restart the router first before all...
If you're using 4.2 or 4.2.1, the reboot is a known issue on Google's end, and I'd consider myself lucky to only have it once a month.
If rooted, you can delete bugmailer.sh from system/bin to stop the bug reports.

Hi guys,
I had reset my Fire Hd 10 (2017) to do a new installation.
However, after the reset, it remains stuck at Connect to WiFi page. I'm not able to select any wifi even after refreshing. Had tried a few wifi to connect to, all turns out negative. Not able to detect. The wifis work cause my other devices are able to connect to it.
Appreciate all advice on how to resolve this issue.
Thanks!

So, you mean, the buttons are completely unresponsive? Or, you mean, the Wi-Fi networks are not being displayed?

Might be a faulty antenna. If it's within 30 days of purchase, return it and Amazon will send you a new device.

Hi, that was my problem too!
Returned the device to amazon, now works with the New one!
Recently encountered problem with wifi connection. After some time, the wifi were lost and there is a exlamation mark near wifi logo. This can be solved by reboot but only last less than 20 mins, and the problems again. Tried using the static IP method and CaptiveMgr/Noisyfox/NoExclamation method, still cannot fix the problem.

You cam reset your Fire tablet into factory defaults may resolve the Wi-Fi networks.
The Wi-Fi networks in other devices are fine or have a problem?

I have set the tablet into factory defaults, and the problem temporarily solved. However, sometimes, it still not working, I need to restart the tablet, do you think this is cause by the VPN app I use?
