I can't seem to find an answer...I tried posting on the JDC Team thread but it goes so fast, I think it has been passed over.
I am having a problem with Bluetooth. Within the last couple days (not sure when it actually happened) I can no longer activate the Bluetooth toggle. When I try it, it thinks for a second or two and then nothing...if I reboot and try and activate it, it moves to the on position but within 10 seconds it switches back off.
Is this a new problem? What is weird is on my wife's phone it is working fine. I am using the jflte version of the Optimized CM 12.1 by JDC Team..
If this is a known problem, please advise what I can do to fix as I want to be able to use the Bluetooth in the car.
Thanks in advance.

I don't think so. My bluetooth was perfect and fine with touchwiz 4.4.2 GNG8 rom. Now with CM12.1 "optimized" is not usable at all.
I still need to find any alternative rom because it's a big issue for me.

I reasearched a bit on this topic.
I flashed XXUHOD7 bootloader and modem and now bluetooth it's not crashing anymore:

I'll try it with my helmet headset tomorrow and I'll let you know.
Did you fix your Bluetooth with the new bootloader and modem?

I had a similar problem where I would try and turn on my bluetooth, and it would immediately switch off, almost like it couldn't find the hardware.
I fixed it by disabling System Profiles in Settings. The currently active profile said "turn bluetooth off", which I think was disabling it. Rebooted with no profiles and bluetooth seems to be fine.

So apparently the choppy bluetooth audio issue is on the Note 4. Has anyone found or know of a solution to the problem? It pretty much only happens when playing games.
Are you using Wanam Exposed?
Yes indeed.
This problem is covered in other threads. Start by disabling exposed then go read up on the rooting thread.
I consider myself to be a thorough user of google search and also did a thorough search through xda, and found no indication this is linked to wanam. If you really wanted to help you could posted a link to where I could read up on this, instead of giving a general statement. You disposition is the reason why there are many posts on forums asking questions about things. If you cant given a confident answer, I would suggest not getting involved. But thanks at least on helping pin pointing this to wanam at least, assuming that is the case. So excuse me while I go do some searching for bluetooth issues and wanam.
So sorry I couldn't spoon feed you the answer. Good luck.

Oops, copy and paste fail there, disregard.
I hate wasting space and time on pointless things and also jumping to conclusions, but its obvious you have nothing to offer except smart butt comments lacking the smart part. I hate being short, but your link lead to the auto root thread saying dont install xposed because of shealth issues which were resolved with another xsposed module already. Even did a search through the whole thread for bluetooth, which yeilded no results. Even did a google search for choppy bluetooth and wanam and it brought me to this post I created. So do the forum a favor and stop wasting space with useless statements about things you dont know. Thanks.
The choppy Bluetooth has nothing to do with exposed. Having the same issues with non-rooted device. No solution though, sorry.

I'm not having any issues from either a Bluetooth headset or Bluetooth speakers. I'm rooted and user Xposed. Exynos version.
Sent from my SM-N910U
Yeah i guess it could be either related to being rooted or having xposed intalled. I contacted the developer of the rom I am using, which is dynamic kat. He is working with me now to find a resolution. Sad thing is I had the same problem with my note 3 running stock rom with xposed and root too.
BTW, the issues only kick in when playing any of the games I have installed.
It's a chronic issue with Samsung Phones (I had it on S3 even). Most common cause is phone going to sleep when the screen is off. That's obvious not the case with you, since you are playing games when it happens. One suggestion I saw that might work is turning WiFi off.
Same problem for me. Non rooted. I noticed it more using Deezer.
I found a fix. Does this happen when screen is off? When I changed kernel CPU Governor to ondemand, all Bluetooth choppiness has disappeared.

Will try with screen off. From memory my screen was on.
Where do u change this setting? Is this a root only change?
No issue for me stock on T-Mobile. I have noticed a very small chop - not even a chop, more like a slight immediate skip in the audio - randomly and very infrequently. I've been using a bluetooth speaker and my car's Uconnect system for several hours with this phone.
Just to keep things clear, I dont want to get this thread cluttered with random things that may not apply. But I have owned over 10 samsung devices and never had this problem until I rooted and installed xposed on my note 3 and 4. So I am sure it is because of either xposed or root. I doubt it is root. I will try going through different xposed modules to see if I can find the root cause. Also as I stated originally this only happens when playing games and only games. Not when the screen is off or playing any thing by audio other than games. If you have connection issues I would suggest making sure your bluetooth device is fully charged and there is no obstructions in the signal. Most bluetooth devices work best within 25 feet line of sight and keep in mind not all bluetooth devices are built the same. Some get less than 10 feet till they start having connection issues.
Same issue here...
On a completely stock 910U, no root - I get very intermittent Bluetooth connections to my car stereo. (My old S4 was / is perfect).
I also get intermittent function with my Fitbit. Most of the time the phone call notifications don't come through to the fitbit with the Note 4.
Very frustrating - both are key functionality for me.
If it looks like this is a phone issue then I'll probably return it and go back to my S4 until it's properly fixed - I am not interested in workaround with root or custom ROMs.
Cheers - N

Did you find a solution?
Unfortunetly no. Only way to prevent it is running stock at this point. Not sure whats causing the issue, whethet it is root, custom rom, xposed, or any xposed modules. Maybe someone will eventually post a sound fix. I have heard of developers fixing it in their custom roms. But no posting of how the fix is created.

First of all, sorry for my english, as i'm typing this on my pc, that does not have auto correct.
I was a proud owner of a nexus 4 since a while back. I bought a nexus 5 and gave my N4 to my father. Before i give it to him, i installed the factory image 5.0.2. It worked fine for 1 week and then the trouble began.
He complained with me that he was without signal during the day. I went to check and although it showed full signal most of the time, he as unable to send or receive text or calls.
I went on a hunt for the problem. The firts thing i've done was changing the radio modes. In 2g only, it works just fine. Calls, text and data work fine.
On WCDMA only none of this works, Sometimes it even shows signal and all, but it rarely can receive or make calls. Almost never works.
I changed basebands, tried all the ones. Changed the android version and even tried with ubuntu touch. The result is the same. The only way that you can trust the fone is in GSM only.
Nothing special occured with the N4 in his ownership. Didin't drawned the phone, didnt throw him on the ground. nothing.
It's impossible to even sell the phone this way.
So, my friends, any of you has seen something similar to this behaviour ? Some of you have any tips for me ?
I saw that there is a antenna module alongside the speaker, but i don't know if it's really relevant to this case.
Also gps works, bluetooth and wifi.
Any help will be welcome.

Hi guys,
My GPS is not working so much well, at all.
I'm on NuclearROM right now but I'm kind sure that the problem was there also with other roms and ZUI as well.
If I use the GPS on High Precision mode apps like gpmas or PokemonGO manage to recognize my position, but It's not a live tracking, It updates the position every tot seconds and the result is like a huge jump of position, not a tracking. (I can suppose that the phone use only wifi/3g to track my position?"
If I use the only GPS mode apps can't recognize my position, at all, gmaps and PokemonGO don't know where I am.
So... Anyone had this issue? Is my GPS broken or what?
Thanks.

Hey guys,
So Ive tried firmware 3.5.8, 3.5.6, 3.1.0 with either 7.1.1 custom roms or also stock. All combinations still result in constant wifi drops, not network drops anymore since I used mini gapps to avoid google contact.
Any advice on how I can fix this or do you think it is a hardware issue?

This is a real issue and it does exist even on 3.6.0 firmware with 7.1.2 custom ROMs
Unfortunately nothing can be done unless we have all of the blobs which oneplus will never release anyways

Most people including me don't even notice this. So far I have only been actually able to catch this behavior in logs and right now Google connectivity services seems to be the culprit however removing that app doesn't fix the drops either
---------- Post added at 11:18 ---------- Previous post was at 11:16 ----------
If you have an old router you'll be able to notice the drops more easily (what is happening to you right now). People with newer routers seem to not be affected by the problem (or at least they claim not to be, they actually are and aren't noticing it)

We are missing some blobs only oneplus could provide, which could only happen if N drops for op2

For me it works good so far, everything except the HW-Overlay. I have to disable it to prevent severe screen tearing in 3D apps.
Unfortunately I have no idea how to contact the developer Quallenauge to report this issue.
I've just flashed

Here are some bugs I've found:
- LTE+ is not working anymore
- Some translation is still missing
I will keep you up with informations. But so far its working good.
Media sound output through the speaker fails from time to time and a reboot fixes it. SafetyNet fails (CTS profile). Beside that, quite stable at the moment.

It seems that my phone got some problem.
Maybe its about Afwall or the firmware.
I've just flashed: lineage-17.1-20201024-nightly-bardockpro-signed.zip
And now the phone randomly reboot.
And when I'm calling someone with the german carrier O2 after 5-10 minutes, the call is terminated and all connections get lost for one second.
Then everything comes back again.

Hi,
yep, I faced exactly the same:
I have flashed the same ZIP and my phone started to reboot randomly.
I hope it is a bug in the build, I'll try one of the recent builds. Lets see and hope.
Hi, I've got the same problem with interruption of phone calls after 5-20 minutes with Vodafone an Telekom as well. The connection is lost for one second on SIM 1 and tested also on SIM 2. The problem exists since about 3-4 months. I' ve updated Lineage 17.1 almost every weekend, but the problem still exists. I reported the bug already 2 weeks ago on GitLab, but no one of the developers read the report so far ... The phone also reboots randomly, mainly while using internet functions as mentioned in the previous post. The phone is still great, so I hope those things will be fixed.
I have re-installed it using lineage-17.1-20201114-nightly-bardockpro-signed.
No reboot loop anymore.
Updated to a newer build, still ok.

No,the problem is still present.
It's totaly random.
Sometimes it appears after 1 min., sometimes after 20 min.
Maybe some problem with the old baseband firmware ? I don't know.

Hi, my phone calls get interrupted randomly as well. Running 17.1-20201219-NIGHTLY-bardockpro. I read @danemyte 's gitlab issue. I don't know if my contacts put down the receiver too quickly but mine didn't seem to try and re-establish the connection after a moment. All I could do was redial. It happens in about every phone call, it happened 3 times in a 45 minutes call.
All the rest works well without any issues and I am still really happy with the phone so I also hope it will be fixed. Can I provide any helpful information? My log looks quite cluttered with information. Do you apply any filters before posting logs?

Hi, my phone calls get interrupted randomly as well. Running 17.1-20201219-NIGHTLY-bardockpro. I read @danemyte 's gitlab issue. I don't know if my contacts put down the receiver too quickly but mine didn't seem to try and re-establish the connection after a moment. All I could do was redial. It happens in about every phone call, it happened 3 times in a 45 minutes call.

Hi, I also have to redial the contact after the connection interrupts. I also don't know how to filter the log. I wished someone one Gitlab would read the issue and could work on it. I'm also happy with the phone. Anyway, from time to time it reboots randomly, but it's getting better after every update.
Dear All, I send an Email with an request to solve the problem to some developers/reviewers directly per mail, which are named here: https://review.lineageos.org/c/LineageOS/android_lineage-sdk/+/298359/
