[HELP!] Mini USB Pushed In

Hello,
I wonder if anyone can help me...
I went to plug in my Mini USB charger into the Wizard last night to find the actual port had been pushed in, so i can no longer charge it... is this is a common fault and how can I fix this?
Any suggestions, or advice would be great!

I got the same problem
T Mobile refused to repair it but have sent me a new one
I am still wanting to repair the phone so my dad can have it....
Where can i get a new USB port from without sending it off to anyone to fix it...

Usb problem pls help

I have an x10i and until yesterday i had no problems with it. I cannot connect my phone to the pc and it only charges after 7 seconds from connecting it to the usb. When i connect it to the pc it takes 7 seconds and then shows that it charges but i dont have anything in the notification bar about mounting the usb.
I tried connecting it to another computer but its the same and i cannot flash it using pc companion nor seus cuz it cant be identified even in flash mod.
Ps. The pc does not show any notification that it is connected. Pls help and if this thrad is already there please tell me because i searched and couldn't find it.

Try running usbdeview and remove anything related to semc. Take your batter out for 10 seconds, put it back in, switch on the phone and reconnect.

Sory for being a noob but where is semc. Is it on the mobile? Or should i remove it from the pc?

On the computer, download and run the run program, it's pretty self explanatory.

I think your micro usb is broken. Mine does exactly the same thing. It is only connecting on the two prongs that charge and not the two for data transfer. There is no fix I am getting a replacement as thousands of others have done as this is a common problem. See this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=777721

Hd2 cable problems.

Hey guys my original hd2 cable broke....I bought a new one branded by Motorola....but eveytine I connect it to the PC...the PC don't detect it like it use to....it says problem with device...device cannot install correctly....I'm pretty sure is the cable.....but is there anyway around this?......thank u guys

hi, maybe dust in the usb port of the HD2? i had this once and the cable didnt connect... try it with a toothpick

I am using blackberry one. Works great!

Just get or borrow another cable to confirm your suspicion.

You must test if cable is for charging only or it can accept data transfers.
Test with a multimeter if all pins form one side are shortcutted with the corresponding one on the other side. If only side pins are connected and not the central pins, the cable is only for charging mode.

Hi, I have T-Mobile HTC HD2 US with Typhoon cyangenmod v3.3.2[2.3.4]. Everything was going perfect for a week or so. Whenever i connect one end of USB cable to my phone & other one to PC, It only charges the phone but i can't access my phone through it. However, in the first week when i connected USB cable, My phone always pops out a msg like (USB connected) Turn on USB or Turn off USB. But i can't see this option anymore And i am really pissed off.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Check if you have USB Debugging enabled into settings-applications-development

Hello, struggling to find anything similar to the issue I am having, sure one of you more tech savvy folk could help.
My car a 10 plate golf has a built in media port through which I can charge and use my media devices, however since receiving my S3 I cannot get it to work. The in car system display states 'media device not recognised.'
To work around this I bought an aux jack to jack and plugged in to it that way and this works fine whilst the phone is disconnected. However when I connect the phone to the usb to charge, it automatically defaults to media device not recognised and disconnects the aux.
My old phone had the same issue (HTC desire) however this could be set to usb charge only which would prevent the car system from trying to use it as a media device simply providing charge.
However, I do not appear to have this option on my shiny S3.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I could work around this? I do not really want to charge the phone using the cigarette lighter socket as this has fried other devices in the past.

Hi, just so you know this isnt the S3 forum, it is the galaxy 3 forum, however I know the problem you are referring to and it happens because "charge only" support was removed from ICS onwards unfortunately. There are apps out there designed to get around this, so far Ive not actually found one that works. I would suggest posting your question in the S3 Section and the general android section as you are more likely to get an answer as and when someone comes up with a fix. hope that answers your question, sorry I couldnt be more help.

Does anyone know where i can find a replacement usb flex cable that will work for my phone? (Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition - GT-I9505G)
It charges but won't connect via USB data. Any help would be much appreciated.

Make sure that isn't PC or USB cable problem (try another PC/cable if possible). If nothing changes try to factory reset or reflash factory image
If still not working and you're sure that your USB connector it's broken, you can buy the replacement on eBay, search for "galaxy s4 usb flex" or "galaxy s4 daughterboard"
You can use component from i9505/i9505g/i9507/i9508 and US/Canada etc variants. I'm not sure about i9500 component.

Sorry to reply so late it was my cable got a new one from the dollar store of all places and it works now. I now know I have at least 2 cables that can only charge now.
