Respected XDA-Developers,
I want to ask you guys that how can i change the ENFORCING KERNEL TO PERMISSIVE KERNEL.
I am using SM-N910C with lollipop 5.0.1 , i have seen ADAM KERNEL and other kernels also and i found out that they have private mode and S health problems, so i need to ask can i get the kernel which don't have any changes except the change of permissive kernel.
Or anyone can tell me how to i change it my self, because i tried changing it with SEModechanger.apk but it doesn't work.
so please guys anyone can help me out?

How to UV with PA rom and FK kernel?

Hi guys, I really want to undervolt my Nexus 4 to slightly improve battery life and reduce heating temperatures but I can't seem to do so. I've tried trickster MOD and system tuner from the appstore but I can't, well I can but after a reboot, it just goes back to stock settings. Maybe the paid Franco Kernel updater app may allow me to do so? I am running the latest PA rom and Franco Kernel r188. Please help?
Yes you have to use the paid Franco kernel updater app to do that. I actually don't know any other way.

[HOW TO] Disabling SELinux [PERFORMANCE]

Hey guys I learned something and I want to share you!
Disabling selinux incredibly smooths our monster! I tested on cm11 but I belive that effects on every rom good.
Before disabling selinux learn what is it in this link http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Security-Enhanced_Linux
So here is the deal;
Paste on terminal: "setenforce 0" without quotes.
And thats it! Enjoy your smooth phone

Certainly sounds like it after skimming that wiki link
Any idea how to really disable it. Setenforce only set it to permissive.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

You can't completely disable SELinux, you'd have to recompile the kernel without support for it and remove all hooks from Android. Both of which are pretty stupid things to do, as SELinux is integral to Android's security model in recent versions, but oh well...
Thanks.
Desktop Linux distributions do give you the option (by editing a single file) that's why I was so confused...
Well,... NSA can't be trusted..

If you are running the stock Samsung MM 6.0.1 firmware and you want to root
all you need to do is to flash the proper rooting kernel after you have odin flashed
the official stock Samsung mm 6.0.1 firmware.
Here is a link where you can download the "AudaxPlus M Kernel v1.1", it is pre-rooted:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63161175&postcount=1
Look for the KERNEL download link.
Once you have flashed the rooting kernel successfully your phone will be rooted.
You will need to odin flash twrp or philz recovery before
you can flash any custom roms or flashable zip files.
Good luck,
Have a great day!
So your saying the kernel will root my phone?
And if i want audax 2.2 rom, what do i need to flash after the kernel?
Can you please direct me to a link that will fit?
Thanks...

Hey, carefully follow MM SkyHigh kernel thread in Original android development forum. I have rooted my G928C several times with it.

Moto G4 plus(athene) dosen't support loop device.

Hello xda,
I have Moto G4 Plus rooted with unofficial LinageOS ROM installed. While installing kali linux using linux deploy i found Moto G4 Plus isn't supported to loop device. Is there any method to update as loop device? Or any other supported Kernel/ROM that supports Loop device enable?
sorry for bad english. but i know you can understand my problem.
Thanks in advance
Have a good day
Sorry for replying such an old post, but I'd like to know the same. Is there anyone to answer what the OP asked?
In my case I'm using stock rom rooted and with ElementalX kernel.

ElementalX kernel should support it - look at flar2's posts from the ElementalX thread.

I tested my device with the app "Loop device checker" and it returned a negative on that:
