If you are running the stock Samsung MM 6.0.1 firmware and you want to root
all you need to do is to flash the proper rooting kernel after you have odin flashed
the official stock Samsung mm 6.0.1 firmware.
Here is a link where you can download the "AudaxPlus M Kernel v1.1", it is pre-rooted:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63161175&postcount=1
Look for the KERNEL download link.
Once you have flashed the rooting kernel successfully your phone will be rooted.
You will need to odin flash twrp or philz recovery before
you can flash any custom roms or flashable zip files.
Good luck,
Have a great day!
So your saying the kernel will root my phone?
And if i want audax 2.2 rom, what do i need to flash after the kernel?
Can you please direct me to a link that will fit?
Thanks...

You have the OTA 5.1.1 update?!
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Did anything get figured out with this? I'm bricked too and can't do anything about it because the 5.1.1 firmware isn't out and I can't figure anything else out to fix it.
I was able to acquire the following files...

"lightbox_next": "Next",

Flashing these finally brought this hopeless nightmare to an end.
I had the Kingsroot + SuperSUME = FAIL brick condition and this saved the device (it wasn't even my device, I was fixing it for a friend). Let me know if anyone is interested.
I have with my a Note 4 variant (SM-N910F) which got bricked after trying to flash a custom rom. Is it possible to return to stock rom or do I have with me just an expensive rock?
Here's a screenshot of what is displayed when the device is powered on:

Thanks for the prompt response. Never used Odin or a flashed a Samsung phone before
If flashing the single stock tar doesnt work, try using "samfirm" to download the latest rom in binary format so that you can repartition the phone with odin.
Just download the file and extract it to get 3-4 seperate tar files.
Select the files according to the tabs in odin (compare the prefixes of the files with the file selection tabs of odin).
This must do the job.
Must be missing something obvious. :crying:
My phone refuses to boot after installing rom with twrp 3.1.1 or 3.0.1, tried CM 12.1 slim rom 7.1.1
Says:
kernel is not seandroid enforcing
Samsung galaxy J5 powered by android
2 - 3 line of 1 pixel high random colors
then the logo start to some ugly fade to black/brown and nothing else happens.
Flashing back with odin to samsung stock rom 6.01 & everything is working again.
Any pointers? thank you!

You can flash ROMs that support Marshmallow bootloader, you got these issues because the ROMs you tried to flash are supposed to work with Lollipop bootloader. Always read OP in topics, as this kind of info is stated there.
I'm not sure but few roms say "ROM Firmware Required: MM or LP bootloader". I i'm getting the same issue with CM 13 MM.
I will test a downgrade to bootloader for 5.1.1 & try to install CM12.1, see how that works out! THANKS for the pointer!
Can't realy find a LP bootloader for the J500FN either.

YES THIS REALLY WORKS ON BOTH LOLLIPOP AND MARSHMALLOW BOOTLOADERS.
fixed by downgrade & upgrade; thx!
I've been looking for the firmware for this device for a long time and I can't find it, I need your help please. What I can do? Or do you know any custom rom? The stock rom would help me a lot, thanks... :C

I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 G930AUCUBCTB1 purchased in Colombia, I need help! I've upgrade it to 8.0 and the phone has signal, detects the sim but Emergency calls only. I want to downgrade to 6.0 but I cannot find the proper firmware that works. Any help?
