I'm kinda bored with this phone - G4 General

The subject basically says what I am thinking. This is a great phone, don't get me wrong, but it's kind of boring.
I was looking at the fingerprint scanner on the $6 and it looks pretty cool, especially how it logs you into websites with it's browser.
Anyone else bored with this phone?

That's cool and all but I never used the fingerprint scanner. I have both devices. And what I prefer over the S6 is of course the changeable battery and also the SD card. Plus the fact that this phone has more potential for development. CM and bliss pop will be here any day. The S6 hasn't had much action in that division.
The LG UI is a nice change from touchwiz has been my main UI since the S2. I think I'm about to sell my S6.

Lol All good.

I'm betting this is not the first time you've become bored with your phone. I know for me, I get bored with every phone I own after a few months with them. Some quicker than others. The Nexus line of phones seem to keep me interested the longest. I get a new phone every 6 months and still get bored

Lol. Right now I prefer the G4. Again this is my opinion after using Samsung phones for so long. Do you want my S6 ? [emoji14]

nice with a change to G4, and as other says, LG's UI is much better than TW.
Now i just wait for bliss, CM to arrive! soon the fun will begin!

Nope, not at all. I hate fingerprint scanners, as I am not willing to give any more personal information to the rest of the world as I am already am by using a smartphone. For what benefit? There is a plethora of other ways to unlock your phone and since 5.1 they work great for me. The LG G4 has what I want from a phone, a great screen, great camera and a removable battery and sd card slot.
Especially the battery and the missing sd card slot is a deal breaker for me. So the S6 was never really an option. Although the leather option really looks nice and works in day to day use, while glass on a phone is a very dumb idea. I can not count how many times I did replace the back of my girl friends Sony Z3.
LG has of course some things to fix, but the overall concept of the phone is great. Samsung? Not so much!

I want to love my LGG4 but I am having the occasional vertical screen split issue and I am hesitating to get a refurb replacement with my TEP. If I were to trade it in (if even possible) I would go with the Note 5. My kid just got one and it is nice. Real nice! ...and no issues so far!

I came across your thread while surfing.. I am a G2 user from past 1 and half year. You know what I am still not bored with it. Infact I got bored with my nexus 4 in same amount of time just because of plain boring vanilla android. [emoji12]
Just love my G2. Running Cloudy 3.3 rom which is a G4 port.. Loving it.
Thinking to upgrade to G4 just for the dual Sim and SD slot.
Regarding s6 it's battery ? life is not that good.
You have a great phone man just love it. [emoji4]

Im one to switch phones every 6 months but this is my first Lg phone and so far its been a great experience. The camera is just ridiculous and the ui dosent bother me near as much as touchwiz. Im happy with my nexus 6 and g4, ill be certain to get the g5 next year if its a huge upgrade.

I absolutely love this phone. The aspect of having removable battery and an sd card slot was the reason I bought this phone and has not regretted it. Now the only thing missing is an unlockable bootloader. But a least we have root for now so I m quite satisfied.

As card slot, removable battery, amazing display and camera front facing and rear, really selfies look much better on this phone. Also feels much better in the hand than any of the s6 line, also love the minimally intrusive ux ui, closest thing to stock you can get on any of the flagships, exception of moto pure.
Fingerprint scanner can't replace the bennifits of this phone.

You're right.
I think it tells a lot about the instability of some people, not just with phones but with everything in general. Some don't know how to be content .
I used to desire wanting a phone and other things so bad and then when I get that thing I felt "bored" after a while and then realized that this will happen with EVERY phone/laptop/car/technology/house/location/etc..
We just have to learn to be content and not let a phone/everything earthly thing be our idol.
See the benefit in what we have and look forward to living our lives.
That fingerprint on the S6 will make the OP "bored" after a while too.
If you're not happy with something because it is defective or too large / too small for you, that's a different issue.
G4 is great but I find it a bit too big because of the bottom bezel preventing me from holding it sometimes. But I still enjoy the phone a lot when I use it.

Because hammer is a simple tool. You don't use it everyday, you don't take it everywhere with you (showing to others is also important lol)
Sometimes you can feel better with phone that runs worse but look better and vice versa. I used note 4 for 2 weeks. I loved it despite the speed not being that great. But it had some serious issues with 3g signal and mobile data was very slow, often no connection at all while traveling. (shiny metal frame also looked ugly after 2 weeks)
I switched to Z3. Great phone in almost every aspect. But it became boring in its perfection of every day usage. However camera was a lot better on Note 4 I knew it and missed it when looking at photos and videos (especially in low light).
I feel like I was always looking for phone that has everything. Yesterday I used S6 edge plus for a while and I'm impressed so far. Looks amazing, camera is superb in auto and also has every manual options that g4 has (normal s6 has no shutter speed control, but I wanted to learn how to play with night shots). Speed and battery life is easily fixed (but so far looked good) with debloating software. But guys the price xD.
I tried to summarize it but it's hard, because I considered Z3 as the best phone I've ever used and everything changed in one day when the back glass cracked itself and Sony didn't want to repair it under warranty. Btw. Sony claims that their phones are no longer waterproof and you shouldn't take them underwater.

I just miss SMemo and the Samsung camera software. If this phone had all the incredible camera options along with it's high def camera and the unmatched SMemo, this phone would be the best available without question.

bought the s4 and i tried the 5s for the past 2 weeks, both phones did not make me as excited/ kiddish as the note 3.
You will love the look and feel of this phone. The weight is perfect so it doesn't feel like a brick (LG Pro), speed is fast so it doesn't get the lag (S4), big without being too big with bezels (Sony Xperia Z Ultra), OS is complete butter so it is fast (Moto X), while it lacks the external speakers (HTC One) it makes up for it with better sound quality when using head phones. Camera is excellent and video doesn't have focus issues (LG G2). Hope that explains it a little better and compares it with every new phone out right now. I have owned all the phones and didn't mention the Lumia 1020 (great camera, terrible battery and OS missing apps), Xperia Z (love the waterproof but camera terrible, Xperia ZL, same as Z, S4 Active had excellent screen and all around better than the Sony Z line for me. iPhone 5s was same as 5 for me even tho I did like the fingerprint unlock and faster burst mode camera (but not worth the upgrade IMO). Have a good day.

I am. I've been watching people in the international N3 post what an "incremental" upgrade the N3 is over the N2. It's night and day. The look, feel, updated Samsung apps, the fluidity. I'm pretty happy. I haven't gotten it all set up yet and will post something more detailed once I do. I'm coming from an international N2 and was terrified what AT&T would do to their version. All of their apps can be disabled except for the Mobile Hotspot app which I'll need anyway. And I haven't found anything missing yet except the ability to disable the Mobile Data connection. So far so good.
Where are you guys getting the phone from? AT&T says I have to wait until tomorrow.

Well. So far so good. It's a whole new world for me. I left Sprint for At&T after being with them for years. I'm on my first real Samsung phone after having every HTC since the Hero. I'm liking this phone a lot so far...but I do hope root access is gained eventually. There is a lot of carrier bloatware crap on this phone I'd like to ditch.
Happy new phone day everyone! Woohoo, am I psyched to play with my new phone. Now if work would just stop getting in the way of me having fun....and there was a custom recovery and root access...that'll come in time though, I'm sure.

I was amazed how light it is for the size, and the screen really pops. I look back at all the hand wringing about the PenTile display and realize how silly it was. Looks incredible.

Moto X the PERFECT phone!

I am unequivocally saying that after many many phones from the G1 and iphone to all the galaxy's , HTC one all the nexus phones and some nokia lumia's the MOTO X is the best phone I have ever had!
Size= awesome screen to phone size ratio
Screen= Those who complain are nitpicking it is totally indistinguishable from a 1080p without a magnifying glass
Hardware= great quality and build...GO USA
Software= Incredible blend of stock with motorolas great features, I use every single one from Moto Assist, touchless, Moto connect on chrome and especially the awesome Active notifications.
Ergonomics= Best in hand feeling of any phone I have ever had
Camera= My camera is actually pretty stellar I have posted some pics on here shots are crisp and clear. ( Also use the twist to launch quite frequently )
Microphones= easily the best and most clear sounds when on the phone. Speaker phone is really really good also
I have no desire to root and love this phone just the way it is!
Any questions just shoot!
Definitely an awesome phone. Camera is good (thanks to the update) but still not quite as good as the GS4 in my opinion, very close though! The only real thing that keeps it from being perfect for me is the non-unlockable bootloader and thus lack of roms/dev community. While rooting and Xposed Framework is nice (although no longer possible after the software update), I found that it lagged the phone a bit.Coming from a GNex, I'm also gonna miss constantly having the latest software. All that said, as a Verizon user who doesn't want to give up their service... I find this to be the best phone on their network.

Bootloader is a non-issue for me- this phone definitely does not need a custom ROM. I really don't see how it can be improved at all. I use Xposed and at least on my phone, there is ZERO lag. Indistinguishable from bone stock. Even if we had an unlockable bootloader and 1000 ROMs to choose from, I wouldn't even consider flashing one. And I used to flash a new ROM every week on all my other phones. First phone I've ever had where I didn't want to flash.

Agreed. I feel like this is what Google had in mind all along. This is Android the way it's supposed to be.
I have to agree. It feels premium refined and beer functional
I'm with you guys. This phone is so amazing as stock, I have had this phone for over a month now and I am still positively in love with it. I took the update without hesitation, knowing I would lose the ability to root. Every other phone I've had was rooted and completely reconfigured the day I bought it... I am now enjoying a completely different side of Android.
Everything from performance to stability, comfort to battery life is stellar.
I took my wife and kids to the Star Wars yesterday, the twist to launch camera feature was awesome! Couldn't use flash there and many of the photos came out great... I got more, good, photos than my wife did on her Nikon DSLR camera. I was very pleased at the cameras performance in low light levels.

Oh, and while everyone was fumbling with their phones unlocking the screen or looking for camera icon, I took it out of my pocket, turned it on with twist motion without moving my arm or taking my eyes off of the stage, and took 8 shots by holding the screen, and slid the phone back into my pocket like a bad ass. Compared to some phones, iPhone 5 and sgs4, this camera is kinda weak. That being said, I'll gladly take the trade off for easy and fast launch and quick photos that still look more than good enough for me.
I think some people just expect professional quality photos from their smart phones these days... Some phones do... But to the majority of us, this phone takes photos well enough.
And I agree, some people will ***** regardless... If it wasn't the camera it would be something else.

So true
Camera is good enough, I spend about a couple minutes on all my photos and touch them up with snapseed. I don't mind and it's definitely worth the trade off for active notifications and touchless control. It's fun and easy to do and when the photo is done it gives it more personality. (Then a well focused sharp shot)

Not realy, the test reports are mixed and various. Batterylife isn`t good, almost no apps are optimized for the screen resolution allthough its very good and the software features though much flatter than on the G2 is still pretty scattered all around the board and not easy to find.
to be honest the IP67 for me was a deal-breaker and I wouldn't change to another phone... I live in Ireland where rains 90% of time.. so using my phone outside while its raining without breaking the phone, is pretty damn important to me... And the phone itself is such a great surprise to me that the only device i am willing to buy next is Note 4 ))
I was considering it but then I realised there is no reason to.
1. Doesn't perform as well in gaming
2. Mixed reviews regarding battery life
3. Heating issues which leads to auto brightness issues
4. Personal opinion, but I have small hands
5. Animations stutter and frequent launcher redraws.
Nope, the knock code feature seems pretty cool but that's about it. I'm ashamed to say I'm actually waiting for the iPhone 6
Sent from my SM-G900F using XDA Free mobile app
I bought a LG G3 before trading it in for the S5. The phone is beautiful but the lack of a physical home button was annoying and the knock feature didn't always work. The screen was dim and battery life was terrible. I came from an iphone so using the G3 made me want to go back but I decided to try out the S5 first and have loved it with no thought of going back to the iphone
I was considering the Lg G3, HTC m8, or the S5 as an update from my S3, and at first the G3 seemed to be a clear choice. However the more I looked into it the more I read that I didn't like, I'm sure its a good phone, but there seem to be a lot of issues that could occur.
Seeing as I'm going to be getting my contract online, I don't want to have to be returning a phone back and forth by post.
I tried all 3 in a shop recently and I was surprised to find that I was more impressed with the screen on the S5 than the G3, and I really didn't like the feel of the M8 at all ( despite what every review says!). Also I really like the whole custom ROM scene that comes with the galaxy.
So I've just ordered my S5 and I really cant wait!

Good choice mate, the S5 is handsdown the best S device so far. Its fast and snappy, no lags whatsoever, good screen and the only disadvantages are the storage (32GB would be nice) and the speaker that could be a bit louder (can be fixed though with a mod).
In my opinion I think the m8 is snappier and the speaker on the s5 isn't even comparable.
The screen I agree with you, it's fantastic.

The g3 doesn't come out until august where I live. When I was going through my upgrade choices, the g3 (despite the wait) was my choice. (Based on what I'd seen from the g2). But, the s5 kept daunting on me although I didn't really want another Samsung device (had an s3 prior).
I don't know though, from the reviews I'd read, I seen the only thing people were complaining about was the design. That really didn't bug me at all and I was quite happy to see the s5 still in plastic. I had an aluminium case for my s3 that's been scratched and whatnot over time so a metal phone really doesn't suit my needs.
I did regret my decision before I got my s5, but haven't really regretted it since its arrival.
I'm quite pleased with the fingerprint scanning thing and now couldn't see myself going without it.
On the downside, Samsung have scarred some of the devs with secure bootloaders and Knox, so there's still little variety in rom selection.
When I got this phone, the one thing I really wanted (and have been waiting for) is a google play edition rom.

I jave always liked Touchwiz since when I got the Galaxy S2. Then I got the S3 and now S5. I was really tired of the on the Galaxy S3. The S3 was the best phone I've ever head but that lag sometimes was so bad it would make me mad. The Galaxy S5 has everything I want.
A lag free Touchwiz experience, exellent and long battery life, an amazing AMOLED display (I love AMOLED displays) and it is water resistant. I've recorded videos even deeper than 1 meter a lot of times and the phone is completely fine.

How are you all enjoying your phones?

Looking for people who have had it for a month+. Is it already lagging or getting any worse for you? What do you like or dislike about it? Currently using a 6p and I held an s7 edge and liked it a lot but I'm unsure if I want to purchase it.
Also if you switched from a 6p your opinion would be a huge deal breaker. I am rooted running pn and some xposed modules that I might potentially miss being on the s7 edge.

I switched from a Note 3 last month (VZW S7E Gold, pre-order, received March 9). I thought I would miss the larger screen, the stylus, IR blaster, but I'm liking it more than I thought I would. It just feels so much better in the hand and in my pocket. Even the screen is nicer to look at. The pictures, no comparison, so much better.
One thing I've noticed is the LACK of lag. I haven't restarted the phone in almost 2 full weeks and there's absolutely no lag whatsoever. My Note 3 would need a reboot every couple of days for a refresh due to lagginess. Now I'm trying to see how long I can go without a reboot. Battery life has been great. I use it to tether at work a lot (get around the work filter) so I can't speak for the screen-on time as the tethering uses a lot of the battery, but I did get over 4 hours SOT at one time. I did have the SD notification issue, but it went away on its own, hoping it doesn't come back. The kids and I have also been using the Gear VR and we all love it, no overheating issues, no bugs, it just works.
Other than the VR stuff, I have no games, mainly use it for internet, tethering, navigation/Android Auto, Samsung Pay (love that!), XDA, etc.
So other than the worry about the SD notification I have no down-side. I do travel a bit, for work and with the family, so that will be another test as I'm out and about around the country to see how it holds up, but I'm confident it's a keeper. At first I just got it to hold me over until the Note 6, but now I don't feel the need for the bigger screen anymore.
Edited to add: Forgot to mention, I was rooted and yes, xposed was nice and there are some modules I could use back, but nothing that makes me want to go back. The pros outweigh the cons for me.
I've had it since March 9th (couple days before launch) and I absolutely love it. I do sometimes feel like there are a couple small cons, but by and large I love this phone. I came from a S6 previously and it's just different enough to have me obsessed with it.
The thing I'm really surprised about is how much I enjoy the gear s2. It works really well with the phone. I had full intentions of selling it. Now it's part of my arsenal. Answering a call in the car while using it is definitely clutch.

What is this notification you're talking about? Yeah I definitely wish I would have gone for the vr and phone deal but I missed it. Yeah rooting can sometimes be a huge pain to deal with.

I got the gear s2 free (totally wouldn't have bought it either hahaha). The battery is superb. I'm a power user, forums, social media, websites, reddit, camera, camera, camera, etc. Lol
I usually take off the charger at 4 to 5am and only rarely make it to about 11pm with less than 10% know that's a YouTube, camera heavy day). Battery life is night and day to the S6.

There quite a number of posts about it. It's a persistent notification of the SD card being ready for photos and videos. It's apparently a regular mounting/dismounting issue, but no word/proof if it's hardware or software related. Very sporadic and hard to pinpoint the cause or solution. Mine just went away. Seems to be more prevalent on first batch models. Not much lately on it.

Came from a 6p running PN and xposed as well and I have had the SGS7e for about a month. Being perfectly honest I haven't picked up my Nexus since then. I originally switched from the SGS6e to the 6p strictly because of the lack of development and rooting, swore I would never go back to Sammy, I still kind of hate them for allowing the carriers to bully them into locking down these phones but it is what is. Now after being able to do what I want for a while on my Nexus 6p, and loving it, I ran into the situation where I had to switch from AT&T to Verizon due to signal issues (I work in the hospital). I was able to get 2 SGS7e's on a BOGO deal so figured I'd give it a shot, and again haven't really looked back. Yes the TouchWiz interface still socks a bit, the lag is definitely a lot less now, hardly ever honestly, but still not like the 6p on PN... you just can't make that combo lag, always crisp and smooth! There are more adjustments/settings you can make to TouchWiz now so I don't totally miss exposed, but again everyone uses different modules so my experience may be different then yours, I mainly used exposed for visual tweaks etc... This phone will probably never see root so that is something I have to live with, but I will probably sell my 6p on Swappa and save the money towards the next nexus in case I get sick of no root. But for now the SGS7E works for me, I don't have a ton of time to root and tweak and figure out issues right now, the size is just right (the 6p is a tad bigger than I prefer), the interface is improved on the edge, more little niches to tinker with, the Camera is definitely better, and overall I just like using it better now. But again the 6p is no slouch, crisper/quicker/cleaner running for the most part and all the roms and tweaks you can ask for lol. Decisions, decisions lol its a great dilemma to be stuck in!!

Came from a rooted S6, but I really only rooted it (and stopped updates) to manage the battery life and keep tethering. After having the S7 Edge for slightly less than a month, I can say I almost don't miss root. No, actually, I can't see a reason I *need* root on this phone. I'd do it if I could, but it's just not needed. I don't even run any of the disabling apps. I've manually turned off a few Verizon bloat apps though.
Lag is non-existent, battery life has settled nicely. I can get an entire day and then some, with about 4 hours screen time. I have the always on screen off, as I don't need a clock and that's pretty much all it's good for right now. I have Google Now voice off as well. Other than that I'm running all the usual battery hogs. I do have aggressive doze set in Greenify. I forgot to put the phone on the charger last night after a full day of use, including some photos, Facebook, some light gaming and a few phone calls. This morning I woke up and it still had 41%. I'm pretty happy.
This is also the lightest, most useful Touchwiz Samsung has ever done. I feel like it kind of improves stock Android, tbh.

Your last sentence is something that strikes a tone with me. I think some android fans find it popular to spew touch wiz hate. I get it, look at my signature, I've been with Android since Nexus and stock were one in the same.
Vanilla Android is fast and clean and beautiful. Buy by no means is it perfect or the best user experience.
TouchWiz is not perfect, it's not better or worse. It just has some enhancements that I think people always neglect. Samsung was supporting USB OTG and had split screen multitasking before anyone. Now it will finally be in Android. That's just one example. My point is this phone gets to that final level that a skinned phone can match or really surpass a Nexus in functionality, despite the popular concensus. It's a stellar phone, not just hype.

I gave up unlimited when I realized that we just weren't using more than 2-3GB a month, like, ever. I was paying a lot for something I just never used. I took the money and upgraded my home internet instead, where I use more data than freaking Google

Totally agree. It's the very first time since the OG Droid that I am 99.975% okay without root. I'd love to be able to write to the hosts file and not use one of the VPN-style ad blockers. That is the one thing I miss now. And I'm not even that bothered by the ads.
Really love this phone.
I have this edge and g5. G5 way smoother s7edge lags

Yes it's called an AOL (assumption of liability) someone pays you whatever amount you want to sell the plan for and you both call in and they assume the contract and or line. They must pass the credit check of course and Verizon has their own AOL department

Concerns? Dislikes? Buyer's Remorse?

Anyone disappointed in a few things like I am?
1. Regardless of how you feel, Verizon removing things and adding even more bloatware is beyond nasty. It's low.
2. The battery life is average at best.
3. There is lags. It's there. Apps open slow, typical Samsung UI stuff. It'll never change.
4. I just don't like the edge. It offers nothing and makes hitting a button close to it awkward. Not to mention cases are just bleh due to trying to fit around it.
5. The S-pen has a smaller tip, but I find it less responsive than it used to be.
6. New theme store is meh. Themes I purchased on my s6 aren't there. I think this feature will improve though.
I like the phone, but it definitely doesn't wow me like the Note 3 and Note 4.

Biggest issue: No AdBlock. Jesus, how do people use the internet without adblock

I use Adguard on occasion as it sometimes bogs down the phone. Love/hate relationship with it.
Well, I get way better battery life than any phone I've ever owned. I end almost every day at 50% and I used to charge by 6pm. Apps open faster than any phone I've ever had and have no lag so far. I love the edge for quick weather and sports scores. I don't love finding a screen protector and case that play nice together. The s-pen seems WAY better to me. I don't use the theme store so I can't comment there. So far, I adore this phone.

Apparently you guys have never had a Nexus. This phone is good, but it does have lag issues that it just shouldn't have in 2016.
And when I say edge, I dont mean edges apps. You don't need to have an edge screen to use the apps you mentioned. They would work just fine if not better on a flat screen like the quick tools Samsung used to use
Not being a jerk, but every phone that gets released, people make wild claims like " 8 day battery life, fastest phone in the world" blah blah. To be fair, there is always someone who makes a thread like this as well. I'm that someone this time.
I like the phone, but it really isn't the holy grail it was made out to be... I feel like it needs an update to clean some stuff up

I like the phone but I don't think it's a huge upgrade over my s7e. I think I'm going to return it and just keep my s7e. Kind of sick of Verizon for removing helpful features from this phone that were meant to be there.

Had a Nexus 6. This blows the doors off of it speed wise. I can actually open the camera and take a picture, answer a phone call, and not have the unlock screen take about 15 seconds to actually unlock.
Makes me wonder if I had a bad device all along. It wasn't like that at first though. Somewhere after 6.0 it slowed down and never recovered regardless of factory resetting.

Concerns:
Future updates, but I knew what I was getting into.
The durability of GG5, but the whole issue may be overblown...time will tell.
Dislikes:
The screen protector I bought. There is already dust under it. Not to mention it must have lifted off the center, as I miss keys all the time. I will sit tight for a while on it and see what else comes out over the next month or so.
Samsung Keyboard - I like Google Keyboard for typing, Samsung S-Pen input for writing, and Google Voice Keyboard. No way to get this combo easily.
Price was steep for this phone, but you get what you pay for. I wanted premium, and got premium.
Buyer's Remorse
Nope. None.
I miss the Ascending Ringtone Volume setting. I can't find it in VZN Note 7. All the good basic ring tones are gone, too.
Someone PLEASE unlock the boot loader on this phone.
Really wasn't expecting to see the different ui was actually looking forward to the new one as this phone was supposed to have the grace ui , so very disappointed in that as it was a feature that was a factor in my buying it its more or less the s7 rebuilt as a note with edge panels, so Im annoyed there. I also don't like the fact that I had to make a custom shortcut for the Samsung cloud service when that was also a feature which was a deciding factor for getting this phone , all in all don't get me wrong the phone is beautiful it runs like a dream its screen is fantastic etc. but I really disagree with the feature removal , the device maintenance app , and the difference in ui these are things that were supposed to make this phone unique and there not there , I mean I really like it but im annoyed at the same time if that makes sense lol. What really sucks is I gave my s7 to my wife and shes ecstatic about it so I cant really return it now cause shes now one with the s7. That and i traded in her old phone.
I agree DBCAB. I don't know what is different in the UI aside from a slightly different settings menu. Is there more?
I am also sick of Verizon. There is just no other carrier with a signal here. They're the reason I went Nexus and tried an iPhone. You never know what features they're going to remove or bloat they're going to force when it comes the all other Android phones.
Sent from my SM-N930V using XDA-Developers mobile app
I'm not thrilled about Verizon, the way they tamper with what is already a somewhat compromised ROM is vile. Their latest security update had crapware in it. What more can you say?
The phone is amazing, imo. It absolutely kills the Note 4 which I had, it's not even comparable. I'm using a Nexus 6P, I swore on all that is holy I would never use a locked up Samsung phone again and I can barely put this down. It looks better than any phone I've ever seen, the software is actually...dare I say it, useful? Even the damn iris scanner works well. It's not laggy (yet), and I'm getting better battery than my Nexus. I missed the stylus. I don't know if I can bear a locked down phone, but this is the only one I've tried that makes me think about it A LOT.
My only dislike is how gdamn hard I have to work against Verizon and Samsung to get the most out of it. Sneaking to get Samsung Cloud, downloading an older, superior version of SNote with full capability (wtf is that about?!). Otherwise, wow, quite a phone and I was prepared to hate it loudly.

Just the standard yahoo sports one. When you click on the little gear symbol to customize the edge screens you want, Yahoo is literally the first one I can select. It's pretty basic but I like it for my baseball scores at a glance.

The $900 price tag got to me along with the edge screen so I returned mine for a Galaxy J3 lol. Seriously the Note 7 is nice but between what Verizon dose and the limited choice of screen protectors that stick and cases that do not peal them off made me return the device. I'm looking to ditch Verizon all together so I opted for the cheapest smartphone they had in stock to fulfill my device payment agreement. Surprisingly the J3 isn't all that bad for what I do on the phone.

I wouldn't expect early cases and screen protectors to be perfect til people got a chance to beat on them. I still ordered them though and just got them in today, at least get some protection.
