Since I updated to 5.1.1 I can't install or update amazon apps I have ticked the allowed in security settings.
Any ideas I tried wipe cache didn't work.

Hi all,
I rooted my N7 with NRT. Now when trying to purchase apps at Google play it says that Google Authenticator, Angry Birds, Jump Desktop and some other apps are incompatible with Asus Nexus 7.
Coincidence or a problem when rooting? I did not install custom ROM.
Edit: problem is apparently due to changing dpi and not clearing Play-store cache after reverting setting to default value.
Update: I cleared the cache and data for Google Play and it did not solve the problem any suggestions?

I managed to solve the issue by first deleting the cache and data, then changing the account used for Play-store to another account and then back to my original account.
I think the next step is to get a device spoofing app or something so Play-store works without the hassle.

I moved to Australia from Pakistan and start using the full google play
first i wasnt able to see the full play store version finally i figure it out.
but now i am facing new problem i can download and update the apps but i can download the movies and books from the store
whenever i try to download i asked about the money then i tap BUY and this error appears
"Error while retrieving the information from server. [RPC:S-7:AEC0]"
i tried almost all the thing removing the account the log in again
delete data and clear cache of Google services but no success

As I think I mentioned in another thread dealing with this issue, the only solution that worked for me when I encountered this on Monday (3/30/15) on my el cheapo tablet was to do a factory reset in both Android and the recovery, then reinstall my ROM. Waiting didn't help, and wiping data for the Play Store and the Google Services Framework did nothing.

But the problem is I m running on stock rom not on custom rom

I managed to flash the stock November ROM via adb. Rooted the phone after that, installed Magisk. And now, many of my apps are force closing.
For example, the play store FC every time I tap on "Read more" on any app.
Many other apps FC for no apparent reason. And I can't add any Reddit account to any Reddit app.
Did someone have a similar issue? How can I solve it ?
Edit : I solved this. Apparently, installing Magisk uninstalled the Android system webview app. I reinstalled it, and everything works like a charm. Hope this helps someone !

I have the same issue with january update.
I install s7 lanuncher, lenovo file manger and lenovo galary.
The galary and launcher get force closer

All Google apps? Does the play store work?
Play may have got stuck on an update. Try clearing cache and data for both services and store (or try one before the other perhaps - can't recall which one usually fixes it) then uninstall. It should just roll you back to the version that shipped with the phone. Reboot if necessary. Then try to launch play store and update your apps. It should update to the latest version without a problem and solve any issue you may have.
If that fails, I guess you can try sideloading the latest version from APKmirror.
I've had this phone for two years now and for the last few months it has been refusing to update most apps from Google Play store. I've tried clearing data, cache and updates from play store, play services etc and I even resorted to factory reset. I'm only using half the internal storage and have nothing on there apart from apps. I've tried cleaning the caches with ccleaner and I've got the system automatic cleaner enabled (not that it seems to do anything). I'm on the unrooted EE stock rom running 34.4.A.2.118.
Am I the only one? Could it be a problem with the EE rom? I like my WiFi calling and don't want to have to flash a generic with flash tool if I don't have to!

No problems with the USA firmware and Google Play updates. Do both auto and manual updates fail? I guess I'd backup everything first and then try a different firmware, perhaps the customized UK, and see if it does better. At least you'd know where the problem lies.
