SM-T533 ROM Compatibility - Galaxy Tab 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I just bought a new Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 tablet and the model number is SM-T533. From what I've seen, the only difference is that the processor is a 64-bit snapdragon 410, vs the 32-bit snapdragon 400 from the other models. Does anyone know if ROMs for T530NU are compatible?
Thanks in advance .

Yeah, I know. I'm just wondering if the T530 ROMs are compatible or even if they can be installed at all. Maybe I'll have to wait until devs compile a version for this processor.

There is no custom recovery as far as I know as there is no source code for kernel. No way to root either unless you are on very old firmware.

[HELP] Port CM to i9506

Hi.
I need help on this one.
I would like to port the i9505 CM 10.2 version to the new i9506 (S4 LTE+A)

if it is exactly the same then it ok i didnt checked right now....the other things you have to port from i9505
Sent from my GT-I9506 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
You dont port open source roms, you need to make a new device spec and maybe just copy some parts (the cpu hardware part) from nexus 5 into it and then compile it. but I think its better to look at the device spec of the note 3 since thats also a snapdragon800. and better samsung as vendor than LG obviously.
the rom itself doesn't support snapdragon 800 or not, it's mainly bionic that supports cortex a15, a9, which is the arch of the snapdragon 800.
the source for the kernel can be found at samsungs site. and this is where the actuall code is for the cpu and stuff.
but you will not get it working by copying files from the nexus 5 believe me. you need to compile it

Any help with porting to I9506 is much appreciated. So thanks!
port from Note3 CM should be more reasonable coz its a samsung.
I dont make roms, dont blame me if i am wrong

[Q] 32-Bit Mode Exynos 5433

So I was reading a discussion about 64-bit exynos processors and a guy mentioned about sth intresting. What do you think, is this possible?
You are writing: The chip's firmware and drivers are running on a "CAL".
So I suppose it is not hardware limitation.
Could this change when they (or someone else) update their firmware, so that it becomes 64bit capable?

From all the various threads I've read making the exynos run 64-Bit is bootloader dependant. As the bootloader is closed source I think only Sammy can so it. I stand to be corrected on it though

If it is sammy dependent as you say, they won't make the exynos run 64-bit to keep it equal with Snapdrogon version since 805 is 32-Bit. Each processor has their our pros and cons depending on custom staff, performance and even a chance 64-bit support. It's really hard to choose...

[Q] "unknown" Galaxy tab 4

I have a new Galaxy Tab 4 S-7200. I want to use it to try a few custom Roms. I did root it with no problem. The problem is, that the model is stated as 6140S and the CPU is a dual core named A23. The tab is supposed to be made in Korea. However nothing can be found about a 6140s. Is there anyone who can give some advise/know something about a 6140S or what model could be eventual compatible? I am using this device for testing so I am not afraid to take a risk.
Thanks.

A23 is all-winner , isn't it ?
okay, i meant to put more on this, if this is an allwinner a23 tab then take a look at this as an example
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2715546
run cat /proc/cpuinfo
for starters to see what you actually have going on there.
do these match up?
Allwinner A23 - Cortex A7 Dualcore CPU 1.5GHz
Mali-400 GPU - [look in /system/lib/modules or /lib/modules for mali.ko or mali400.ko and/or vpu_something]
if so, look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2715546

No because the kernel is completely different, you can only port rom from another x86 devices like Samsung Galaxy Tab 3
Thank you.Is there a guide you are suggesting for building rom for x86 based devices
Impossible.The hardware is different.

Is A7 (2016) A710FD have Arm64x Cpu ?

hi , i read detail of my device in most site with 64 bit processor like this :
Octa-core, 1500 MHz, ARM Cortex-A53, 64-bit
but when i download some Apk like SwiftKey Keyboard 64bit arm version and Try to install it , i got error and not installed at all
the Arm version install without problem .
so why This happened ?
is the 64bit processor is fake on my phone or some apps have bugs in 64bit version ? or the 64bit that Samsung mentioned is only part of main core of device software ?
we have seen a few 64bit capable samsung phones like Note 4 that never had a 64bit OS adapted.
Whether you have a 64bit or not, the 32bit installed system is your limitation, not the hardware.

is there any chance that on android 6 update , the system installed 64bit ?
or these phones just have some limit 64bit names in processor core
The 32bit version of app work nice too , i`m just curious cause sellers make 64bit cpu too big issue when we want buy
Same on A5, why we have 64 bit cpu when its not use, shame.

I am not sure, you may want to ask the AOSP devs here if at least they have x64 builds.
As for stock sammy, i doubt it.
