The Update is great! I love the new features. I deleted Greenify because of the new suspend function in battery.
Let's see how it will work.
Can someone give me a link? i can' find that update...
If you are running WW version just run the system update app and have it check for update
we need the OTA link because mine failed and the update app cant find the update anymore.

Thank you very much bro!
Being able to dim the screen even further is very welcome. Also, a few more apps appeared on the Auto-start Manager. Hopefully, this will result a slight improvement in battery life.

Finally the wait is over. Android 2.3.4 firmware for SGS2 was leaked by ficeto. This reportedly solves the Android OS Battery issue.

Well I'm installing it right now and will update with initial impressions!
To install via ODIN choose: (Note: This will wipe your Apps but SD Card and Internal Storage Data will remain intact)
Phone - MODEM_I9100XXKG1_REV_02_CL1034110.tar
PDA - CODE_I9100XXKG1_CL349526_REV02_user_low_ship.tar
CSC - GT-I9100-CSC-MULTI-OXAKG1.tar
There's no need to use the .pit file and do not tick mark re-partition.
To Root:
Flash with any CF Root based Kernel
Flash back to Stock KG1 to remove Yellow Triangle
Stock KG1 Kernel Link : http://www.multiupload.com/UNNM2UKPBC (via intratech)
Pass: [email protected]
Edit:
Ok so the Screen On lag is gone when you wake up via Home Button, but still there when you wake up via Power Button.
Google Talk Video support
Android OS eats up considerably less battery.
Will add more changes as I find.

Edit 2:
Well can't say that the Android OS battery hog issue has been totally fixed. Android OS still shows a lot of usage. Android System process on other hand seems to have gotten down.
Battery @ 87% (with Juice Defender running)
Apparently the Android OS Battery issue is a problem caused by Samsungs Drivers which hog the CPU even while the device is in standby mode.

Quoted from Oneplus forum:
This CM 11S 38R release comes with a new firmware that improves the responsiveness of the touchscreen; a new and very cool lockscreen; the ability to take photos in RAW format, enhanced audio capabilities (now the One lets you play high resolution music—24 bit, 96/192khz—flac/alac/wav files without resampling); now that health is that important, we’ve added ANT+ support; and a slew of bug fixes we know you’ve been asking for.
Here’s a comprehensive list of other changes you’ll find in this update:
Added method for users to report bugs directly to Cyanogen.
Added pause button during video recording.
Fixed issues with camera exposure compensation stuck in ‘auto’.
Fixed issues with ‘4G Preferred’ option not connecting to 3G data.
Fixed issues with delay in torch activation.
Fixed issues with unresponsive screen requiring reboot.
Fixed issues with static in speaker when changing volume while headset plugged in.
Fixed issues with rotation not triggering when rotated slowly.
Fixed issues with Quiet Hours / system UI causing battery drain on last day of month.
Fixed issues with camera not starting when LED torch is already on.
Fixed issues with Bluetooth volume low on connection.

Is there a possibility they are waiting to implement 38r in it?
I assume this update will wipe out the smooth scrolling mod etc. Can a saviour come out with a modded update for that like previous OTAs?

Good job ASUS for the continuous after sales support. ?
with this update how is your camera? mine is improved a little, imho...
Nice list of fixes but I don't like what they did to the signal icons. They made them bigger and took out the color code. I'm not a big camera user so I haven't noticed a difference there.

im on ww 2.15.40.13_w_root currently..does this mean i can apply the ota and still keep rooted after it was updated?
Got the update on mine earlier, but Android OS is still causing the mysterious battery drain. I hope the next update will fix it.

have you updated supersu binaries? if you did then you have to fully unroot to apply ota. if you didn't update the binaries, you can apply the ota and still have root.

Somebody please pre-root the updated ota so I can fastboot flash it Hahahaha.

Another thing i mentioned, is that for me my Score in Antutu got a little bit better ~ 1000Points.
How strange. I got the OTA update notification, so removed root in order to take this update ( because low volume on headphones is the biggest flaw of the phone for me). However, the update failed. I assumed this was because of having done a lot of debloating. So I have reflashed boot, fastboot, recovery and the pre-rooted system, but when I check for the update again... Nothing??

By debloating, d'you mean uninstalling bloatware? This is why I prefer to disable those with TiBU instead. So you can still take updates!

Does it mean that i can manually flash b137 chinese firmware on my german mate 8 and i receive the OTA update b156 and can install it?
no idea, i guess it depends on how ota updates identify devices that are allowed to receive it. if the phone model name takes any part of it and its modified by crossflashing (such as mine is when i flashed the international rom), then i guess u wont receive otas...
in any case, duraaraa provided a twrp image so u can just use that to flash to a blank B156 firmware.

Is the OTA available for manual flash?
duraaraa made a twrp backup of a blank B156 firmware that one can flash manually its in the other B156 thread
Hm... i was hoping for a clean original update; I have not modified my device;
in that case ull just have to wait until u get your OTA notification for the B156 update thats the thing about OTA´s, not everyone gets those at the same time!
the B156 OTA only update actually IS available for manual flash but its kinda finicky... see duraaraas post on how to modify the B137 OTA zip to include the B156 update...
Thanks jbmc83; I will wait then

Looks interesting...indeed an unusual name.....Substratum pre-installed! Didn't know Substratum worked with OOS 3.5.x. Dev are they any issues with applying system UI items? Love stock tweaked ROMs, usually more stable IMO:good:. Cheers!

No problems here with screenshots. Maybe it's something else.

Its been a really long time away from Android ROMS for me but I remember this being an issue some times in the past. Seems like the system was looking for the folder to save the screenshots in. Could be "sdcard/pictures/Screenshots" If that folder doesn't exist create it and that might fix it.?

delete the old screenshot file and it will create one itself. this usually happens when your previous backup conflicts with new rom.
