I noticed that the bug of displaying two icons for everything installed from play store in default launcher is fixed. Notification issues don't seem to have gotten any better.

Does it mean that i can manually flash b137 chinese firmware on my german mate 8 and i receive the OTA update b156 and can install it?
no idea, i guess it depends on how ota updates identify devices that are allowed to receive it. if the phone model name takes any part of it and its modified by crossflashing (such as mine is when i flashed the international rom), then i guess u wont receive otas...
in any case, duraaraa provided a twrp image so u can just use that to flash to a blank B156 firmware.

Hm... i was hoping for a clean original update; I have not modified my device;
in that case ull just have to wait until u get your OTA notification for the B156 update thats the thing about OTA´s, not everyone gets those at the same time!
the B156 OTA only update actually IS available for manual flash but its kinda finicky... see duraaraas post on how to modify the B137 OTA zip to include the B156 update...

Nice list of fixes but I don't like what they did to the signal icons. They made them bigger and took out the color code. I'm not a big camera user so I haven't noticed a difference there.

Sound output volume and clarity is MUCH improved through the headset in this update! Much needed and appreciated. Speaker output is still somewhat low but it was slightly improved.

Checking for update on my WW Zf2 didn't seem to find it but when I switched on auto download update via WiFi, a few minutes later I got the notification update was ready to install!

Got the update on mine earlier, but Android OS is still causing the mysterious battery drain. I hope the next update will fix it.

have you updated supersu binaries? if you did then you have to fully unroot to apply ota. if you didn't update the binaries, you can apply the ota and still have root.

Another thing i mentioned, is that for me my Score in Antutu got a little bit better ~ 1000Points.
How strange. I got the OTA update notification, so removed root in order to take this update ( because low volume on headphones is the biggest flaw of the phone for me). However, the update failed. I assumed this was because of having done a lot of debloating. So I have reflashed boot, fastboot, recovery and the pre-rooted system, but when I check for the update again... Nothing??

By debloating, d'you mean uninstalling bloatware? This is why I prefer to disable those with TiBU instead. So you can still take updates!
It looks like an OTA is slowly rolling out to EU Honor 7 phones, from reading around the forums it seems a few people here have received this update, and there is a discussion on another forum - http://www.android-hilfe.de/thema/honor-7-update-b121-ota-os-5-0-2-emui-3-1.720943/
So, who here has received an OTA and can anyone list what has been fixed in this OTA? Sadly Huawei don't seem to have any mention of an update on their website.

I received update to B121 last week already. My brother got a white Honor 7 but didn't receive the update.
See attached the german changelog. Maybe someone can translate it later.
I had problems with WhatsApp which constantly lost its contacts, after this update it's gone. But maybe it is because of the rights manager which i installed (PM Plus in Playstore) and dissallowd Whatsapp to delete contacts.
Could you please have a look at your sd-card, internal or external, and see if there is a dload folder with a file in it named update.app about 290 MB in size?

The next one who will receive the update should save the update.app in the dload folder before flashing/installing the update.
The file is put in the folder dload_ota on the internal memory

B121 is mainly security fixes with a bugfix for notifications and some translation fixes. Still doesn't fix the issue with the 2nd SIM icon showing when using one SIM card.
I don't know if the update fixed the 2nd icon issue, but I don't have it anymore

The " issue with the 2nd SIM icon showing when using one SIM card" is sorted out with the simplest of google searches (sim card icon honor 7) and you will be led to the right app (Honor 7 SIM Icon Settings) to remove the warning.
It is the security fixes that we really need. Is the Stagefright issue removed?

According to an internal document that I cannot share for obvious reasons, the stagefright bug was fixed along with translation fixes and a fix for a bug related to national roaming.
I have a full B121 ROM which I currently do not have permission to distribute, but once I do have permission then I'll share it.
Edit: There may be a B122 update coming soon as B121 apparently has a bug with the SMS app. Trying to find more information about it.

"adb logcat" on a computer while checking for the update on the phone. It will always list the update URL. It's a pretty big patch -- 376 MB. Boot and recovery are modified but no separate fastboot. So either that's been added into the normal partition commands, or it's still going to be an OTA to enable bootloader unlocking.
Can't wait to hear from the brave souls who update first have to say. I'm goign to keep my root/twrp for now

"B27" Downloaded and installed. Not all of what everyone/most where asking for, but substantial enough to make a believer out of me. Security patch level at September 1, 'Backup account' no longer greyed out, tweeked signal strength indicator, audio no longer drops out when starting camera and probably a host of other tweeks under the hood.
No announcement about stock images, not good.

Strangely enough, I have dropbox installed after the update.
Unless I butt installed it just before (I do not use dropbox).
I'm fairly sure that the last update for the EU model installed an app as well (though not Dropbox).

I'm currently on stock B20, locked and unrooted.
I posted the same in @DrakenFX's thread, but I'm happy to try out whatever folks think would be best:
1.) Unlock via the thread instructions and then update to B27
2.) Update to B27, then try to unlock via the thread instructions
3.) Other?

This is beta version so you need to join huawei beta project but I think huawei offers limited slots
or use huawei updater and hisuite but personally I couldn't use huawei updater if the phone your going to update is your daily driver I do not suggest you to update because a fair amount of bugs expected

here is how update honor v9 to oreo B331
on your phone update Hicare app, open it, from member tab login with your HUAWEI ID(you could easily create one if you do not have) then from service tab click update after application successful message, you could update the phone from system update.
According to the app firmware finder from 8/1 the Oreo version is out. Seems that B335 is the official. Last time I remember, after seeing it there, the upgrade was OTA within 10 days. I think that's great news.
I'm on B335 and I'm having issues with google service especially with location sync.
- Location history is disabled and I can't turn it back on in the google maps setting
- Find my device is not reporting location
I factory reset my phone, disconnected/reconnected my google account and it's still working. I'm hoping that this is not the official release because otherwise I would have to revert back to EMUI 5.1.
How did you got it? OTA or did you forced it? Since yesterday 29/1 firmware finder does not appear the b335 !

Hi, I'm having the B336 official Rom and I've seen from huawei's app FirmwareFinder that there is an upgrade up to B340 (at the moment). However if I try to upgrade my phone through this app I get a " firmware not approved for instalation" when I check comparability with IMEI. Is it only me ? Anyone else having same issue? If I check for system update I don't get any update.

the error you got, is , because of imei check failed. When I use the app FirmwareFinder, I do a imei check comparability, if i get the green light, it is to update. But ever since I got B336, I dont get any comparable firmware and already there is out, the B341 rom. I just wonder when will we get it?
It's 24,19 MB for me, seems like it's only the security update once again.

Update: Installed the update, it took some time to boot up, but it seems fine for now, no new issues noticed. Security version bumps up to June 1 2020.
Official fastboot ROM link published here and here . Have not seen official full OTA Update yet.

Somehow you were suggested to download full 11.0.11.0 OTA (it's size is 1.34Gb) instead of incremental 11.0.10.0 -> 11.0.11.0 OTA (24,19Mb).
While http://c.mi.com/oc/miuidownload/detail?device=1700353 still points to full 11.0.10.0 OTA .... probably some dummy instead of updating link in Community Web server accidentally updated link in OTA server ?
Hi all. I've recently updated my newly acquired A2 to Android 10 from Pie. I tether my phone for many hours per day but the phone's Data Usage measurement of Hotspot & tethering is only ~20MB when I know I've used a few GB for the same date period. I don't know if this is a problem introduced in Android 10 or a problem that was there with Pie, as I've only recently started to use the phone. Android 10 version of Mi A2 still has all bugs from January it was realeazed, they don't fix anything. The only thing that maybe they have fixed is the performance. So I guess another bug.

Yes. It's such a shame - it's a well made and good value phone, but these small bugs make it annoying to use. Going custom is probably the best solution, but I don't think I'm ready for that jump yet. The choice of budget to mid range phones has increased a lot in the last couple of years, and Xiaomi no longer have the market to themselves, so it's their loss.

There in information about call recording added in this update for MI A2. True?
@jorikello, I've applied the June update but there is no recording option when I make a call. Perhaps it's region specific because of local laws on recording - I am in the UK.
Somebody to report call recording availability after June update? I have not this option unfortunately... For me it's important functionality update.

I can confirm call recording is not available in France.
No call recording in Singapore either.
