You need Apktool, follow the steps:
1.- Decompile framework-res.apk , go to res/values/arrays.xml and modify this line:
from
PHP:
<string-array name="config_globalActionsList">

power

airplane

bugreport

silent

users

</string-array>
to:
PHP:
<string-array name="config_globalActionsList">

power

airplane

settings

lockdown

voiceassist

bugreport

silent

users

</string-array>
2.-Recomplile framework-res and flash it in recovery using zip file or just change it in TWRP using file manager setting the permission 644.

Different framework can't be shared, just drag your modified framework to the zip https://mega.nz/#!vcI12R4S!kKK3FDIyT6fl2IAin4yKX4p0Xix0CO2OtgSJMt3zbgI in the corresponding folder and flash it in recovery.

Press power button and volume down at the same time until you enter the bootloader , select recovery, locate your original framework using twrp file manager then move it to system/framework , now set chmod 644 and reboot the phone.

No. I mean your untouched framework that you saved in a folder, you must move it to system/framework/. If you don't have it then you must dirty flash the rom.

Trimmed ICS boot animation
Hey guys, I got sick of the slow frame loading on my Optimus V so I trimmed it down a bit. This comes at a cost of image quality though as I had to shrink resolution/compress/remove frames/lower frame rate. I think I came to a suitable compromise though. Try it out.
really good

What is a System Dump?
You may have seen system dumps around the net for android devices and have wonder what it is. A system dump gives a user a image of the currently installed system ROM. You can use a system dump to restore your android device in case the situation arises that something has gone terrible wrong with your device. Obtaining a backup of the system or system dump is in most cases a good idea. Some people recommend doing this before upgrading or installing custom roms on your android device. Others recommended that unless your a developer you shouldn't be fooling around with system dumps. I hope this helps people who didn't know. Remember system dumps come in all shapes and sizes. So make sure you read whats included in a dump before using it.

Or alternately, you could place the files, reboot into recovery, choose "fix permissions", then reboot.

Sorry I am just starting to dable in actually modifying system files myself.
So renaming to. Zip instead of all and unzipping isn't enough? What exactly do I need to decompile the apk.
I apologize ahead of time if this was somewhere else in the thread that I missed

Nice, I made a menu button mod on Xperia Z 4.3, now, back then I made it so, that the 4 buttons would all be on the same distance and same size. Could you do that aswell
? I think that it is astetically better (no center button). The way you did it the menu button is on the far right, this does look weird.
Woah... Wouldn't use GravityBox be much easier??!

Hi,
Not everybody want to use Xposed stuff for various reasons... and use GravityBox just for have the 3 dot menu...
When someone made a guide to modify some parts of the system, spent some time to write the how-to, etc... no offense, but just say "you could use an Xposed module, much easier", not very nice.
It's also the pleasure to do some modifications by yourself, learn to decompile/recompile, understand some stuff, make your own mods, etc...

Hi guys...
Wanna deodex your firmware even you have device with locked bootloader
I was trying to deodex my KK ROM but couldn't becouse we have problems with mounting system in recovery...
I tried absolutely everything I could remember but..without any luck.
Then I remembered one cool trick...
So what I did...and you should
Read careful :
1. Flash firmware .534 (yes..again) with flashtool
2. Root and flash recovery
3. Flash 681 firmware by NUT prerooted - through recovery NUT flashable ROM
DON'T RESTART OR POWER OFF DEVICE - HIT BUTTON "HOME"
4. Flash Krab deodex patch DEODEX patch
- You can flash what ever MOD/FONTs/any flashable ZIP you have...
Flash it now - you won't be able to able to flash it later...
5. Power device off
6. Flash stripped kernel .... STRIPPED ftf
....and enjoy your deodexed rooted KitKat

You can mount system with adb shell and try to backup.
That's the way - for now....
Flash, deodex and watch what are you doing until we get fully working recovery

You were the one who mentioned that you found a solution to the mounting problem.
