Hi i'm having a problem connecting to UMTS network when creating a new connection...
I have obtained setting from my service provider but i'm still unable to connect to 3G. When i get to "select a modem" i don't have access to cellular (UMTS) network. I only have Cellular (GPRS) ! Is there another setting i should change to access 3G network. My phone find my 3G service provider network on the 2100 band and connects to it... But still no Cellular UMTS in my connection modem?
Anyone knows whow to solve this issue?

Anyone can tell me how can I make my HD2 not connect to GPRS, it is a 3G sim but it keeps connecting G rather then H

you probably dont have good enough 3g reception hence the phone keeps connecting to GPRS.
Hi I am having a Network Connectivity problem with HD2, its only when I switch it off and switch it on, My Hd2 can't connect to the network. To connect I need to switch to airplane mode and then switch it off(airplane mode). It has the same problem when I loose the signals in lift/staircase. can any one help me.

i need solve for my problem , when i in my Wlan range it's connect to the Wlan without asking or use GPRS to connecting , i do everything to stop this auto connection but i couldn't , it's only happen with my router because i have router in my work it's didn't connect with it

I'm using now for the first time an android phone (cm7 on optimums 2x).
I was used (coming from NOKIA) to know if i was on a GSM or UMTS network + if the data protocol available was GPRS or EDGE on GSM and 3g or hsdpa (3.5g) on UMTS.
I had to disable mobile data right away on the android phone because i pay for that, but now I don't see any icon. Isn't there a way to have to same behavior of nokia DISABLING access with mobile network or at least on demand if I ever wanted to use it in some occasions?
No E, G, 4g icon means no data. Only way to use it would be to pay for it or use wifi
To turn network data on go to settings>wireless & networks> mobile networks
