I've had it working on stock before but you actually got the lte working with wifi and the status bar showing its working? I've never seen it work the way it was supposed to.

Correct. It "appeared" to work but was not. I was helpimg with enabling download booster a while back but eventually the project was shelved due to updates and the fact that it was just becoming too much trouble to get it working the way it's supposed to. Feel free to pm me with more information about what you hsve discovered. I'm always open to new challenges and helping outbwith different projects like this.

LTE won't work but 3g does

This mod is really only for unlimited data users. Believe me if you're not it will cap your data in time depending on your mobile data signal. The better your signal,the faster your download,the more mobile data consumed

I got it to work with SUPER DOWNLOADER APP by OPByte. To me it works like it did on the note 2 & 3 witch I had . The only downside is it's not LTE compatible. It does pop up but the app will crash from my experience or download will fail. The upside is no matter how big the file it will work. The only thing im trying to get around are some download sites don't allow multi threading at the same time

Where is UPDATE?
When I opened the "new" market this a.m. I saw there is an update for Twicca. But when I clicked on Twicca in "My Apps" the only options available were "Open" or "Uninstall."
Is this a problem with the new Market? I was able to sync the update via Appbran and Fast Web Installer but I want to make sure I have a working market.

I had the same issue with the new market. It is pretty busy looking anyway. I just went back to the old one.
the new one definatly takes some getting used to but i think its pretty neat overall
still like the market redo chingy did to one of his roms better
Some apps needing updates are not showing up in updates. I also user app brain so that's how I know.
I cleared market data via titanium but it didn't do anything

feels a lot smoother now. But still no contacts sync for ICS! That's the only thing I want.
The UI has been greatly improved. Notifications are still slow to push and are quite unreliable. RAM usage is insanely high. I've seen it at 59MB. It hovers around 50MB

Just got the update this morning... Let's hope it isn't as stupid as the last version. I was trying to check my messages on FB and it kept showing the loading blob and then blanking out. I switched over to WiMax and it still did the same thing.... (I was thinking it was a bandwidth issue)
Looks good lets hope it lives up to the hype here.

Too bad it still follows Apple's facebook design. They should really work on making a separate UI for droid. =/

Why would they do this? Also it is "Android", and it isn't "Apple's Facebook design". It is how Facebook feels their application should be designed.
There would be no major benefit that I can see if both the iOS and Android versions had different user interfaces. I actually prefer it this way. iOS applications tend to be better looking than Android ones.

Asus' Italian branch office posted two days ago on their facebook stream that the update for WW SKUs is held up pending approval by Google.
Take that with a grain of salt about the size of the Empire State Building, however, since at first they blamed excessive load on their servers, then they shifted the blame on Google
That and the fact that it doesn't seem to fix anything, maybe they have pulled it.

Just tried to update ,I hid root and it found update however the install failed and I'm now stuck in CWM,every I reboot it just goes back into CWM any help would be great

I think I read you can't do the OTA if you have CWM installed, and you have to install the stock recovery.

Sorry I'm on a different device but have 7.0. Check the settings menu for a users menu, if not maybe they disabled it for the v20. I know I use different accounts for my kids, so that would suck if LG took that feature out.
Tmobile Lg's have never had it enabled.. Once we get root it's a simple build prop addition and we're good to go.. I have a tutorial on the G4 and V10 forum on how to add it, but need root.

I want root so much more now, lol. I'm "rooting" for the devs to find something.
This is why we still need root (to those who constantly feel the need to post in threads about root that we no longer need it with all the features built into the phones now). Google has integrated many of the features that we used to look to our devs for but each manufacturer and each carrier arbitrarily removes or changes those features and then doesn't give us any choice in the matter.
On the plus side, we do have awesome devs who are working hard to root our phones and give us our freedom back. And those devs are still finding new things to offer us that will only deepen our dependence on Android and the devs we love.

Looks like Samsung has disabled the option in Oreo to customize SMS notifications for individual contacts. I'm not too happy with this choice on their part.

Some nice improvements, but most of them are Samsung's not Google's. My favorite Oreo improvement is the shortcut so that I can go directly to "my apps" in the Play Store.
Other than that, I haven't noticed many differences. Overall, I'd say Nougat should have been 6.2, and Oreo is more like Android version 6.4 rather than 8. If there are significant changes under the hood, maybe that justifies the major number increase. But as for what's exposed to the user, the changes have been very incremental.
Like it on my Note 8, have had 8.1 on my Pixel for some time. Seems snappier than I anticipated with "just installed". BTW, I'm in Northern Virginia and got it this am by checking for updates.
Downloaded and installed in Charlotte, NC. I thought Oreo had a setting to turn on the screen when a notification arrived. Don't see it however. Really bummed that some apps I use that draw over the lockscreen no longer work but I knew that going in.
