[Q] Custom Recovery on Rooted D80010o?

Hi, I successfully used ioroot 12 to root my AT&T D80010o. I had it fully stock before taking the OTA and then rooted it while on the 10o update. I am now looking to put TWRP or another custom recovery on it. Has anyone been able to do this from where I'm at so far? (rooted stock D80010o)?

[Q] Upgrading rooted at&t s4 with Kies?

i have a s4 SGH-I337M and i was wondering if kies is still safe to use when upgrading stock firmware? i have already rooted and installed TWRP and i am currently running stock koodo 4.3. also will kies unroot my phone if i use it to upgrade the traditional way?
Well. I went for a leap of faith. After backing up my phone with TWRP I decided to use Kies to update my phone with no issues. Now I'm at 4.4.2 with out root. Dose anyone know how to root and install TWRP on the baseband I337MVLUEMK6? Or to downgrade to 4.3?

Did you try to root with Kingo root and install TWRP as usual ? I don't know much about Canadian version of S4 but I think you can downgrade using odin.

You can root the stock KK ROM, but you just can't have a custom recovery. Although the T-Mobile one has a rooted stock KK ROM with custom recovery available if you follow the directions.
Don't know about other variants.

What I did was I KDZ'd back to 4.2.2, then I rooted that and flashed a custom recovery. With that custom recovery I flashed T-Mobile's official 4.4.2 KK ROM and then flashed SuperU to achieve root on that ROM.
So now I'm running the official TMO KK ROM with root. I have no idea if that same process will work with your phone though since it's a D800, mine is D801. But I would assume it's the same process. Get the KDZ image of the D801 4.2.2 ROM, then you root that and flash TWRP recovery. Then you use that to flash the official KK ROM with SuperU.

Use Method 2! That's what worked for me and others. Good luck dude.

There is no root method if your phone is already on lollipop. However, you can flash back to nb1, root with towel root, and then flash the keep-root method to oc3. See the guide Odin to Stock, Updating, Rooting, and Installing Safestrap by guut13 and the guide Update to I337_OC3 - 5.0.1 and KeepRoot by muniz-ri, in the general forum.
