Was having issues, so I was going to reflash everything. Not exactly sure what I did, but I can't even get passed the boot screen. Tried to load NI2_stock_kernel.tar.md5 from Odin, but can't even get into recovery now.
Any ideas on how I can get back into recovery, maybe I can at least reflash everything.
Thanks
Edit:
was able to follow this http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...t/safestrap-odin-safestrap-flashable-t3161043 and flash with NCG_Rescue_Tar_And_NCG_For_Root.tar.zip to get it working again

So i tried to flash a rom like a normally do and i get stuck on the green screen.
I noticed now when flashing a rom is takes alot longer to flash then it usually did , i wiped pulled battery multiple times and still the same results. If i try to flash a froyo rom it will stay on the mytouch screen for a few secs and reboot to recovery mode on its own. every other rom just gets stuck and will not move. im limited to only recovery mode and Fastboot , are their any simple fixes that can be done and thanks in advance.

Have you tried fixing apk uids? I've also heard you can use the bootloader to do a more thorough wipe.
If I were in your situation I would apply sappimg to unroot and start over.

im fairly new so i only know how to flash roms . outside of that im pretty much clueless. I tried flashing a new radio & when it tells me to reboot to complete installation it says no more room or somthing like that. it does it really quick so i cant tell. Also how would i go about unrooting?
EDIT .. ok unrooted the phone and it seemed to have done the trick.

Glad you're still operational. Now you can retrace your steps and figure out where you went wrong. I also had to unroot and go back to Cupcake before I successfully completed my first rooting.
If you're just flashing ROMs, I would stay away from updating the radio unless the developer specifically says you should.
and I am not a happy camper right now. My phone is not bricked but I have tried everything imaginable to get it to boot up but no dice.
After I flashed the fix I couldnt boot past recovery and I couldnt but up into clockwork because I hate replace the update.zip with the the lag fix. So I used Odin to try to reflash back to stock without removing the lag fix (there was no way for me to). When Odin rebooted my phone and tried to wipe my data I realized it failed for some reason and then rebooted again. But it only got past the swirly S animation screen but the screen goes black after that. Cant get farther then that no matter what I do... Tried Odin multiple times but its the same result. Tried wiping data and cache manually through recovery but still not working.
Any suggestions?? Some quick facts that could help...
-I can get into recovery
-I can get into download mode
-I can use Odin
-Vibrant drivers are installed on my computer
-I have ADB installed
Ok I see theres a repartition option in Odin if I do that Im pretty sure ill be set if I check that since it will remove the lag fix but Ill end up losing all of my data. Is there any way for me to to copy the files in my internal sd card to my computer in the current state my phone is in??
Ok... tried mount USB storage but my computer isnt recognizing is it.
Nope, sorry. We don't really have a way to communicate with the file system unless the OS is booted and the proper drivers are loaded.
I guess if anything good comes of this it's that you know to back up often now though! You have to flash the "Eugene's Froyo that doesn't brick" rom, then flash back to stock JFD or JI6, but you sound pretty informed so you probably already knew that.
I see thats to bad, the Amon's recovery for the G1 allowed you to view files in it. But no I never knew that you should flash Eugene before going back to stock. I've flashed back to stock from Axura before with no problems before. Still this gives me some hope because Im sure the problem is the lagfix I tried and maybe it will play nicely with Eugene's ROM.
EDIT: And it worked!! Thanks bud just goes to show any little bit of info could make a difference Lost all my files though but oh well, lesson learned.
I'm pretty sure my MT4G is bricked. After a reboot earlier today is was stuck at the mytouch boot screen for a long time. I booted into recovery (CWM 3.0.2.4) and was getting errors in recovery. I ended up trying to wipe data/factory reset, and reflashing RG. It seemed to work but after rebooting, it was still stuck. Tried wiping everything again and restoring my stock nandroid backup. Didn't take, kept saying unable to format /system.
After playing with my phone all day, and discovering that it is one of the phones with the bad chip and most likely unable to be fixed, I'm wondering if there's a way to get stock recovery and boot back on my phone through either fastboot or adb. I used the gfree method to root my phone. My phone is covered under warranty, but I don't want to send it back with CWM and S=OFF.
If no one can give you a solution I wouldn't sweat it too much. The same thing happened to me except after a few battery pulls the phone wouldn't turn on at all. I sent it back rooted no problems. I THINK when/if they fix it everything is completely reset (just a guess from a simpleton).
when i first rooted my phone i had the dreadful recovery errors as well. what i did after several hours of research was to erase recovery thru fastboot and the flash the recovery img again.

I just sent my other mytouch back because it wouldn't turn on at all. Now this one is being stupid! lol I just don't want to send it back with S=OFF and CWM because that'll void the warranty.

I tried replacing recovery to see if it'll let me flash a rom, but fastboot kept giving me errors with everything saying "Remote denied" or something similar.
Ok, I just started experiencing an issue. I suddenly can't get into recovery. Here is a little back history. My N7 was running CNA 3.6.6 (I know, but...), and I was bored so I decided to try ParanoidAndroid. Well, I have that gotta try something else feeling again, and when I try to get into recovery, it will go to the google screen, then go black for about 10 seconds, then go back to the Google screen and boot up. This happens if I reboot to recovery through the power menu, or getting into recovery from the bootloader. I even tried Quick Boot, in hopes it had some magic I didn't. No luck. The same crap. I even switched from TWRP to clockwork recoveries, and the same crap happens (I tried the same things I did originally).
Also tried through other apps too, like Rom Manager, Rom Toolbox, and TiBu. Everything works, but I am bored with this rom... I have tried turning it off, plugging the N7 into a PC and trying to get into recovery. Again, I can get into the bootloader, but as soon as I select recovery, it goes black, then fully reboots...
Anyone have any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Have you tried re-flashing a recovery image, eg TWRP 2.3, from fastboot?

Scheiße, I reflashed TWRP in fastboot, and I am getting the same result. I think my N7 forgot it has a recovery!? I will try flashing clockwork through fastboot and see if this works. Thanks for your help...
Edit: Clockwork does not help. There is no recovery for me. I am now at a loss. Hopefully someone will have some suggestions...
Finally got my recovery back...damn latest bootloader!
Yeah, this has sucked. I have spent several hours figuring out what the hell went wrong. It turns out its the latest bootloader. Others are having this issue. So, I had to go back to stock (which will erase EVERYTHING) and then had to re-root. Now that my bootloader is back to JRO03D, I am back up and running.
So, the first time I did this route, I decided to take the update and re-root my N7, and ran into the same issue. I could not get into recovery. So, I had to do it all over, this time not taking the update and not updating the bootloaders, and I am now back and already have a ROM running and everything installed.
If you want to go this route, here are a couple of links that will help...
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/28544-guide-nexus-7-bootloadersrecoveriesrootback-to-stock/#entry764328 and go to the Back To Stock section. The next part is for rooting (if you wish to do this yourself)...

Unable to get into Recovery after 4.1.2 upgrade... - xda-developers
Any help?
Ok, I went in today to reload MOAR ROM on my phone. I had initially thought to check if maybe there was a higher compatible firmware version than BOC4, so I posted to the thread, but then I figured everything was working fine on my phone so why bother.
I loaded NI2 and booted up into safestrap recovery.
Once in safestrap, I tapped wipe, but strangely, it was like the touch screen registered 2 rapid taps, and before I know it the phone is formatting. Me, I try to do a data wipe after this, silly me, and it doesn't work. It no longer seems to detect distinct partitions, probably cuz the entire internal drive just got formatted.
Anyways, I proceed to install MOAR, and then the BOC4 firmware. Now the phone starts to boot, gets to Samsung screen, hangs there for a few seconds, then reboots. It's caught in a boot loop. I am guessing that safestrap might have been removed, and I am looking advice as to how I might go about reloading it, if that is indeed my problem.
Or really, any pertinent advice on how I might make my phone function again would be greatly appreciated!
Worth noting, I am able to boot into Recovery, which I am pretty certain means that my phone is not bricked. Just not sure what to do from here. Thanks!
hmm.. I just tried factory reset in recovery, and now it maybe appears to be booting for first time. I have that spinning tornado boot animation that came with MOAR. Should maybe come up in 10-15 min, fingers crossed...

Did it work? If you formatted, assuming you are not on the latest bootloader, you'll need to flash the NCG restore tar and start the root process from the beginning.
Also, I'd suggest upgrading to @jrkruse latest safestrap, as it removes the format button.
